Bone dug a small pit and filled it with leaves and sticks. Ferno set it on fire, "There. Now, shall we begin?"
Thorn layed down, "Why not?"

Flash had stood up and was bouncing up and down like an excited kit. "START! Start start start!"

Ferno thought for a moment, "Where should I start...uh. How about... what the locals call, an 'Overfill(aka. flood).'" he closed his eyes, then opened them. "The Overfill is actually pretty scary for me. Being fire and all"

"I was staying with some other travelers, and it was raining non-stop, we were also by the river. I woke up, being jabbed by a paw. I stood up and saw steam, water was surrounding my paws. I ran out, following the others." Ferno explained
Thorn listened, but she guessed Bone's reaction: amazed.
Clearly, she was right. Bone seemed like he was going to leap up at anything that spooked him or scared him. He was like a kit!
Ferno continued, "We had to run up hills, boulders, anything that was in our path. It was really scary, some cats even got pulled back by some waves that came from the river." he thought for a moment, "There was even a kit that got stuck in a wave."

"And the only one who was nearest to the kit was me." Ferno shivered, "So, I ran to the kit. Picked it up by my tail and put him on my head, since it was the highest place to put him. Then comes the bad part." he picked up a nearby twig and tossed it into the fire. "I couldn't get to safety."
Thorn widened her eyes, Bone's eyes widened too

Flash fell over from leaning forward too far. He quickly scrambled to his feet and sat back down.
Halloween shivered.

"I felt really weak, and I saw a tree nearby." Ferno said, the flames on his pelt dimmed. "I didn't have much energy left, so I used all I could use and I blew a small breath of flame. It reached its mark, and the tree fell towards me. The tree fell about.. hmm, 5 fox-lengths away I believe. I ran to hit, I stumbled as the water was sweeping my own paws from underneath me. I made it to the tree and hoped on it. I felt safe, and the kit calmed down, but my calmness went away when..."
Thorn huddled next to Bone

Ferno wrapped his tail around his paws, "The water rose higher, when I saw the water rise. I told the kit to hold on, I started running on the log. The problem was, the nearest tree was a little ways away. I knew I had to leap as high as I can. When I was close to the tree as I was, I leaped. I barely made it, next thing I know. I start leaping from tree to tree. Finally, I made it to land, I found the others in a cave, higher then I was. I started climbing, I could feel the kits claws. When I got to the top, I collapsed on the cave floor, exhausted. The kit went to his mother, next thing I knew, I was asleep."

Ferno thought, "I thought it was for moons, but it was two days since I slept. When I woke up, I found a dead eagle in front of me, and I was starving. I ate the big bird in no time."
Bone looked up, "Eagle?"
Ferno nodded, "I bird that's bigger then a hawk, it's even more dangerous"

"I flew beside one once, it came straight for my throat." Halloween meowed, rubbing the spot with her tail where the large bird had fixed it's eyes. "I was only a kit though. One of my first times flying. Lucky I got away."
"And?" Flash asked, ignoring whatever Halloween said.

Thorn flicked her tail at Flash, she was a bit cross at Flash. Bone thought, "Same here Halloween, I almost got captured by an eagle when I was little. But I was still 'alive' then."
Ferno nodded, "I found myself in a small cave, it was a small one in the big one I was in. I pretty much got up and exited the small den. I found the others, and they were actually happy. I heard talk that the prey was rich here, despite the flood. And the herbs here were plentiful." he smiled, "They made themselves form a tribe. They had a lot of similarities to clans, there was a leader, deputy, healer, and more! Their leader came up to me and told me that they weren't going to travel anymore, they found a home they actually liked!"
