The mothers arranged a nest for Flint, who promptly settled into it, looking happy. He'd never really had a true home before, so this was quite exciting for him.

Moss stood up and stretched, before deciding to go hunting.

Star watched Moss leave and decided to follow. Getting up, he sprinted to catch up with her. "M-mind if I, um, join you?" He asked, smiling nervously.

Moss nodded, "Of course you can." She continued moving, sniffing around for any scent trails.

His small smile grew and he nodded, falling into step next to her. "I've been doing most of my hunting alone lately," he whispered, so as to keep from alerting any prey that could be lingering nearby. "It's nice hunting in pairs."

"It is, and you can catch large prey," Moss replied quietly. She stopped when she caught a scent and started following it.

Star's ears pricked when he noticed that Moss had caught a scent. Moving on quiet orange paws, he trailed after her, crouching.

She spotted a squirrel trying to crack open a nut, and flicked her ears toward it before walking off to the other side of it.

Star nodded and crept into position, making sure he stayed undetected.

Moss glanced at Star, then back at the squirrel. She took a few steps forward, before leaping at the squirrel. The squirrel ran off towards Star, forgetting the nut completely.

Star blinked and sprung into action a few moments late. He almost missed the squirrel, but just barely caught its tail and quickly snapped its neck. He huffed and stood up with the catch, light-coloured tail swishing.

He nodded in simple gratitude to her before setting it down. "L-let's keep going," he hummed in a quiet, somewhat shy voice, flexing his paws and gesturing to the direction they'd been previously walking.

She nodded and looked around before walking. Moss kept her head low, trying to find any scent trails.
