Scourge woke up and stretched. He exited the den and went to get something to eat.

Shadow lifted her head, yawned, then left the den. She sat outside and groomed.

When he was done eating, he groomed and stretched. Then he exited camp to hunt.

She ate quickly, then gathered a few cats to hunt with. They left.

Scourge was hunting along the border when he heard a twig snap. He unsheathed his claws and flicked his ear. "Hello?" He said, before he was tackled to the ground.

Scourge threw the cat off of him and stood up. He and the stranger fought each other.

Eventually Scourge was pinned on his belly. The stranger said nothing as he swiped Scourge's throat, back, and shoulders. Scourge yowled in pain, unable to move. The stranger quickly left after that yowl.

Shadow heard the yowl and sped off in that direction, wondering what was going on.

Scourge stumbled up, gasping. He was hurting and he started seeing small black spots.

"Scourge!" Shadow exclaimed when she found him. She quickly examined him, then said, "We need to get you to camp!"

Scourge didn't move, he just stood there. "I-It hurts.... So much..." He collapsed.

Shadow mumbled a curse, then said, "Just one thing after another..." She got an idea and dashed away. "I'll be right back!"
She soon returned. "The medicine cat is coming, just stay still."

Scourge didn't move, he just kept gasping for air. "Why do you want to save him?" Asked the stranger, who was watching them. "Do you know what he did?"

A ginger tom walked out from the bushes, he had white paws, chest, belly, and ear tips. "Do you know what he did?" He asked again. "And don't even try to attack me."

"He killed cats without mercy. One little wrong move and he would slit their throat." The tom said, flicking his ear. "Just wait till something happens. He won't care about you anymore."
