Dexter jumped when he heard Willowlight, and realized where he was. "Oh, I-I shouldn't be here..." He shifted his paws and started walking away.

Dexter turned, a grin on his face. He darted up the tree Willowlight was in and sat on a branch above her.

Scarlet's fur was standing on end.
Willowlight looked at him, "You know, all I do is jump onto a branch I don't climb." she meowed
Scarlet slid out of hiding spot and she quickly jumped into a tree, she climbed higher. She hid there, the leaves hid there, and there was a musky scent with the leaves

Scarlet quietly climbed from tree to tree. Soon she was over Dexter and Willowlight.
Willowlight smiled, she touched Dexter with her tail. "Your a funny cat. You don't know a lot, but you know enough to stay alive."

Willowlight licked Dexter's ear.
Scarlet had enough and she tackled Willowlight, they landed on the ground and Scarlet bared her fangs. "Willowlight, don't you dare!" she snarled.
Willowlight hissed, "Scarlet! You cant just barge in!" she spat
Scarlet bared fangs, "You were always the loved one as a kit, you always stole everything from me." Scarlet leaped at Willowlight. They rolled in the ground, Scarlet pinned Willowlight down

Dexter gasped. He wanted to help, but who did he help? So he just watched, eyes wide and worried.

Scarlet was tackled and pinned. "Stop it Scarlet!" the cat said. Scarlet looked at the cat who tackled her. "Redcloud. Protecting Willowlight as always? Of course you are!" Scarlet snarled. Redcloud was a dark ginger cat with grey paws, ears, and tail tip. His eyes were amber. "Why do you fight us? We're your littermates." Redcloud said. Willowlight stood beside him. Scarlet stood up straight, "No, your not. Its true we are by blood, but not by heart." Scarlet looked at Dexter, "Its your choice, you can come back to Dreadclan, or join Cloudclan. I'll be at camp, take the time you need." she turned around and started walking back to camp

Dexter watched, mouth open, not sure what to do. "I want to stay here, but I love it at Dreadclan. I just don't know..." He said finally.

Redcloud looked at Willowlight, "Scarlet knew the best, and you broke a code." Willowlight shrunk back. "Get back home, I'm telling Aurastar." "Please don't." Willowlight begged. Redcloud shook his head, "I'm the deputy, now go." he ordered. Willowlight went back home. Redcloud looked at Dexter, "So your Dexter, right?" he asked. He leaped up and landed on the branch Dexter was on, "Look, as you heard, I'm Scarlet's and Willowlight's brother."

"The reason Scarlet left the clan because she was blamed for murder. She doesn't like the clan for that reason, and she doesn't like us or her mentor because we didn't back her up." Redcloud explained, "Since then, Scarlet was accepted into Dreadclan. She learned their customs quickly, soon she became their deputy, then leader." Redcloud sighed, "Even when we were kits, Scarlet had less attention. She was mostly given attention by our father, but he died when we were only 3 moons old. She has been and felt abandoned ever since."

Redcloud nodded, "Its his heart that's telling him. He should follow his heart, not his mind.' he said to himself quietly. He flicked his tail and he went back home, "Now...to tell Aurastar."

Scarlet was laying in the entrance of her den, her face was still wet from crying. She closed her eyes, 'Will he join Cloudclan? Or will he stay here?' she thought
