The Water Dragon was about to attack Atra when its head sank to bottom. Darkblood felt he was being pulled up by the neck. He reached the surface and got out of the water. Darkblood slammed to the ground, gasping in air.
The dragon that had saved him was in the dark corner, watching Darkblood and the stream.

Atra swam to the surface and climbed out of the water. "You okay?!" She exclaimed.

Darkblood coughed up some water, "Y-yeah. I'm f-fine." he said. He was shaking a bit because of the recent experience and shivering from the freezing water.
"He wouldn't be like that without you." the dragon spat, he was still in the shadows, only his red and black eyes showed he was there. "There are multiple reasons he saved you, you know. One of them breaks the Dragon Code, which seems a bit funny how Darkblood noticed at the meeting, and no one else did."

Atra turned to the voice. "Show yourself." She said with the slightest hint of hostility.

The dragon walked out of the shadows, it was Bloodshred. "Are you really surprised its me?" Bloodshred said, looking at them. Darkblood stood up, shaking. "Why are you here?" he asked. "To get you away from this, lizard." the young dragon spat, "Your getting soft. And soon you'll forget everyone except here, and whatever little lizard is born" he snarled

(Of course. I was actually thinking of a plot somewhere along these lines, but you got there before me.  ) Atra just watched. She had liked Bloodshred at first, but now she was starting to think again. Even though the young dragon was proving an obvious point. |

(Funny how we had the same plot.)
Bloodshred disappeared and Darkblood fell to the ground gasping for air. Bloodshred was standing on top of him with claws in his back and neck, "Forget her Darkblood." the young dragon whispered. "N-never." Darkblood gasped angrily, he spat up some blood...which was black. "Black blood, it used to be red. What happened?" Bloodshred asked, making his claws go deeper into the bigger dragons back and throat. "I... I d-don't know." Darkblood gurgled, spitting up more black blood

"Everyone has to die sometime." Bloodshred said, grinning. Darkblood tried stood up, throwing the young dragon off. His muzzle was stained with blood, "Get out." he snarled at him.

"Fine. Suit yourself." Bloodshred disappeared. Darkblood went to the stream and crawled into it. His wounds were soon healed and he got out of the water. "I'm so sorry about that." he said

Atra's tail tip twitched. "I hate to ask but... I-Is it true? Are you really going soft?" Nothing showed in her eyes but concern. And that's all she was, concerned.
