Darkblood jumped again, he laughed. "I forgot you had that ability." he said. He put wing over Atra and he layed his head on her shoulder.

Darkblood's heart felt like it would pop, he felt weirder than usual. He cleared a thought away and he calmed down. He toke a deep breath. He entwined his tail with Atra's again.

Darkblood raised a paw and he toke a shard out of his paw. He limped towards the stream and put his paw in the cold water. Darkblood spat the shard into his other paw and he blinked. "A Dark Shard?"

"Make life. I had no family for a reason, I came from one of these shards. I was told that when I was little, I was found." Darkblood confessed, "I'm not the only one in my tribe, the dragon who saw us yesterday was one. Only a quarter of my tribe was only made from these damn things. They only need a drop of blood." as he said 'drop of blood,' the Dark Shard changed color. It was black when Darkblood first had it in his paw, now it was the color of blood.

Atra's eyes widened slightly. Then she noticed the shard change colour. "It got that drop of blood didn't it?" She asked, stepping back one step.
