Blaze dipped his head, then joined the others. Coal whispered something in Broken's ear, who flattened her ears and growled: "I know, and it'll suck." He chuckled and nuzzled her, Broken nuzzled back.

Acis went hunting, Wolf stayed with the kits. Acis knew that since there were two new mouths, more prey had to be caught.

Shadow caught her mouse, just as another scent entered her nose. "Intruder." She hissed under her breath and ran off.

He soon caught it and was about to pick it up when a familiar scent hit his nose. "Uh oh.." he whispered and climbed a tree, after hiding the squirrel. The musky scent of the leaves hid his scent and his dark pelt blended in the shadowy tree well. He stayed still and didn't move an inch.

Shadow stopped under Acis's tree and looked around. "I know you're there," she hissed. "Come out and face me." She examined the area, looking for the cat she had scented.

He slowly started moving backwards in the tree, no sound was heard as he moved.

Shadow growled as the scent disappeared. She sat in the spot for a while before grumbling and padding off.

Acis made it back to the den, Wolf soothing him. "What happened?" She asked. Acis looked at her, "Shadow. S-She almost caught me." Wolf and the kits calmed him down.
