"Thank you Abyss!" Veleno said, his ears went up as he heard a gunshot. "Their here, lets go!" he ran to the hole and jumped through. Chiaro hid him in one of her compartments where she usually hid her stuff. Chiaro looked at Abyss, "Come on! You don't want to be shot instead, do you?" she asked

Abyss tried to leap through, but that leap was more of a rushed scramble to get inside. After a few long-seeming seconds he made it.

Chiaro put the stone back where it went and sealed the hole. She heard gun shots in the cell Veleno used to have. "He's not here!" one yelled. "Well find his scaly hide and kill him!" another one said. Chiaro went to her spot and curled up, acting if she was asleep

They checked their cell, then went away. Chiaro opened a spot so Veleno could get some air. "That was close." Chiaro said

Veleno was up and Chiaro was putting poultice on him. She made the poultice from some mushrooms, moss, and some mint.

"I dunno. What else is there to do?" Abyss asked. He was starting to feel kind of depressed He missed being out in the open, being free. Being stuck behind bars was much different.
