Dimitri woke from his nap with a gasp. He sighed and settled him self. He put a shirt on and decides to go for a walk in the woods.

She then said, "Hi-nehm." The pieces of the branch glowed blue for a moment before silently moving back into place and the branch looked as though it had never been broken.  |

Jasmine flinched in surprise and looked at Dimitri. "What are you talking about?" She asked, browsing through the hieroglyphs in her book. 'Krosis.' She thought.

She watched him go. 'How much does he know?' She thought, after cursing in a different language. She went somewhere more secluded to practice using the divine words, the Egyptians form of magic, in a nice patch of undergrowth in the denser part of the forest. She set the book on the ground and climbed up a tree.

Dimitri had followed her. He grabbed the book as she climbed up. He leaned on the tree looking it over.

She had her eyes closed. The rim of the sun-disk and the Eye of Horus on her necklace was glowing green.

She opened her eyes and looked at him. The energy building in her necklace faded and the metal stopped glowing. "You know, don't you?"

She nodded. "I partially lied before... About my necklace. I got lost once as a young child, I was about five, and... One of them walked over and gave it to me. Said it would always keep me safe. Then they led me home. That's all I remember. Since then I learned what they are, and knew I was different. I even tried to tell my parents once, about the gods. They played along but I knew they didn't believe me. Since then I learned to keep to myself."

He nods." I figured you lied.and I have met a few. Some were dangerous I could feel other's you just felt there power. I have never told anyone even my parents. They just think I have a odd thing for the Egyptians. Also I knew I was different. I think Kenzi has potential, but I haven't told her."He says

She nodded, then she looked at him, looking serious. "Not everyone can control the divine words, the magic in the hieroglyphs, as well as us. And yes, I know you can do it too. It's draining to a normal person, a spell as simple as shattering a leaf can leave you in bed for a week. For most, nothing even happens when you read the glyphs. Some people with affinity for the Egyptians can't do proper spells though, their more warriors than combat magicians, which is fine." She paused. "You might know this, but something bad is coming. I heard some normal people were given a message to meet somewhere to receive instructions on how to help, Kenzi could be one. I just worry something will slip out and they'll kill themselves, I can tell they aren't properly trained, nor do they have the proper power to control the words..."

He nods."Kenzi is special she can read glyphs plain as day I am sure if she was trained she be fine." He says "yeah i figured you knew I could speak the devine words. I also am aware something is coming its why I think I should tell her, but afraid if I do she will be in more danger. She is like family to me."He says and sighed. He handed her the book.

"With training, anyone who can read the words will be fine. And while she may be able to read the glyphs, that doesn't make her magic threshold any higher. Also, she seems to not be able to, and may have trouble if she can't, see the actual hieroglyph... If she translates the glyph for, say, burn as 'burn' and not Ma'ax, she can't do magic without extensive and tedious extra help. She would have to remember every single word because she sees the word in English and not the glyph." She pointed out. "That aside, we also have to find the others and tell them whether you want to or not, and get them to the place they need to go in time, or who knows what happens... Would you spare your friends life to have her die eventually anyway, or risk the chance of demise to save the world and let her live in peace afterwards?"

He sighs."your right I will have to tell her. And to help her may be a challenge or may not. She has said something's that makes me think she knows a different language and trust me she isn't taking any other languages. We definitely have to fine the other's. "He says
