"Neither do I. I'd much rather be over there right now." She pointed to a crack in the wall just big enough to fit her. "But somebody..." She lifted both wings. Darky and Dae both squeaked and looked for somewhere to hide. "Insisted." She snickered. "Listen, if you two will stop arguing for at least, say, an hour, I won't go get the shiny bottle." They nodded vigorously and returned to her side. Dae nuzzled her fondly and Ziirda hugged him.

Ziirda pulled out a book. Darky and Dae each peeked over her shoulders as she flipped through the pages, looking for something.

The two stayed silent. Gishy didn't know what else to say and Raven couldn't say anything.

"Aha!" She paused on a page and murmured something, and a cloud of smoke appeared. The fog faded, and standing in its place was a black leech, which she picked up. "Well, we're moving on, so come if your coming." She flapped away with the large leech in her hands. Dae shot the thick stream of blood at the ceiling and followed, a muttering Darky trailing behind him.

Gishy nuzzled Raven and she got up. She decided to open the door and walked inside.

She hummed quietly as she flew. The two demons joined her, and a harmony of hushed notes surrounded them.

She looked around and noticed there wasn't a chest around. Raven looked behind her to see a creature, bigger than the usual. Gishy and Raven fought the creature. When the creature died, Raven tripped and almost fell into spikes. Gishy pushed her out of the way, but ended up getting her side getting hit by the spikes. Raven couldn't cry out in pain, so she just stood up and held her side. They continued on their way.

Eve stopped. She had come to a door, much different from the others. A skull jutted from the wall at the top of the door frame. She took a deep breath. She wasn't sure if she was ready for this.
With careful pawsteps the cat crept into a room. Light from a fire glinted off of the pink collar hanging loosely around his neck. Guppy, it read.
Ziirda stopped the soft, pretty melody when she spotted enemies. Together they set to fighting.

Raven continued wondering, hoping she could find a heart. She looked everywhere, but couldn't find one.

Eve shook her head and left the room. "Not yet."
Guppy the cat hissed and his flies attacked an enemy with a bomb embedded in it's deformed head. He sprinted away as the bomb went off, barely escaping the blast.
Ziirda and her demon friends finished the enemies off and continued.

Alone, and far more cautious, Guppy continued.
Eve looked for a way to improve her strength.
Ziirda wasn't paying attention and bumped into someone. She squeaked and sped off.
Eve jumped, watching the girl with the wings flap hurriedly away. "So there are others around..."

"Before you two say anything," Ziirda grumbled, "I'm not introducing myself to anyone else. At least, not for now." She slowed and floated into a hole in the ground, feeling comforted by the immediate darkness that enveloped her. There wasn't anything down there, but she needed a break.
Eve continued walking.
Guppy had collected a full ring of flies and felt a lot more confident.

Eventually Raven had dozed off in the corner. Gishy stayed awake as a look-out.

Ziirda found a crevice and tucked herself inside. Dae and Darky stuffed themselves inside with her. The space was cramped, but Ziirda felt more comfortable that way.
Eve moved along through the basement.
Guppy, in true cat fashion, grew tired and started hunting for a warm, small place to rest.
