Kia led him through the school, talking to him along the way, pausing every once and a while to explain something or show him something.

Nichols stretched his arms and zoned out. Rosie stayed quiet as she listened.

They came to a stop outside Kia's office. She said a few things in a questioning manner, and the man chuckled and nodded, murmuring a reply. Kia snorted in amusement.

Rosie glanced up once in awhile, hoping that nothing distracts her. Nichols took out a pencil and paper and started doodling.

Another shudder passed through the building. Kia scolded the man, who snickered and shrugged. Kia muttered something and he scowled at her, giving an indignant reply. Kia sighed and thought for a moment, then spoke a few words. The young man nodded.

Rosie muttered something as she felt the shudder again. She looked at her brother to see him erasing a line that went the wrong way when the shudder happened.

Kia looked up as the sound that signalled break time began, and beckoned for him to follow as she walked out of the room.
