"Bring him right to you, then?" he asked, glancing back at the hunter. "Alright, be right back." He flew back to the hunter. "Okay, follow me," he said, leading him off to where Kowara was waiting.

She looked up, huffing in irritation. "Hello again, hunter."

"Hello, kitsune," Zilius replied briskly, nodding his head in distant respect. "Is this yours, then?" He held out the orb to her.

"It is. I don't know how it came to your possession, but I'd like it back." She sat up, wanting this to end quickly.

"Of course." Without further argument, he handed the orb over. He did have his share of questions, but he was more interested in escaping the encounter than he was in having a lovely chat.

"Thank you," Kowara grumbled, taking it and tucking it against her chest with a paw.

Zilius looked at Kowara, at Abrevynen, then at Kowara again. "Uh, is that all? Can I go? I was kind of busy." He tapped the tip of his skull helm, eyes flitting off in another direction.

"I'm not asking for anymore, so continue what you're doing." She tucked the orb under her chin before standing. Turning around, she walked off back to her home.

Zilius nodded and quickly returned to his hut, where he set to work trying to correct the mistake he'd made
Abrevynen sighed and landed on Kowara's back. "I hope you feel better now."

"I'll feel better after I fix everything at home," Kowara growled. The thorns were starting to become noticeable. Sooner she was home, the better.

Abrevynen settled into her fur and sighed. "Okay. As long as you're happy, I'm happy," he mumbled. The whole fiasco was exhausting.

Kowara spotted her home, entering it without another moment and putting her orb away. She started taking the thorns out of paws and legs, her nose twitching as she did so. Vezolth raised his head, having taken a nap before. "I see your back, how did the search go?" "Fine, where's Noir?" "He left, saying he wants to see the forest more." "Typical. You're gonna have to join him." "What?" He blinked in confusion.

Abrevynen watched her converse with Vezolth. Upon her final order, he flinched, and began to worry about where this was heading.

"Everyone. Out. I don't know who took the orb out, but one of you are the only ones besides be who have access. All of you need to leave!" Kowara spat, burning the thorns and standing up. Vezolth slithered out of the nest, surprise etched in his face. "What are you going to do without company, Kowara!? We were here because you needed company, and you helped us." "I don't need company to live! I can just hibernate for a century or two and be perfectly fine! Now leave!" Vezolth shook his head, leaving without another word.

Abrevynen froze on the spot. Separation was a touchy subject for him, and the sudden news that he was being kicked out had shocked him to the point that he couldn't think straight. Slowly, as if dazed, he stumbled out of the den and rooted himself outside, eyes locked on the ground. Then he jumped into the air and darted away. "Vezolth?" he called, desperately hunting the winged serpent down.

Kowara growled, setting a shield around her den and flopping down into her bed. She shifted into her human form, deciding to try something new before dozing off with the help of a little spell.
Vezolth stopped and turning, his body wrapped around a tree branch. "Over here," he hummed, hearing his name being called.

Abrevynen followed the sound of the voice that replied and quickly located Vezolth. He glided over to the serpent and landed among the tree's branches, panting. "Ah, what am I going to do?" he murmured, burying his head in his wings. "This is scary..."

"She's not well, you know this. All we can do is wait," Vezolth looked at him, bopping his head with his nose. "It'll be alright."

Abrevynen blinked when he was bopped on the head and looked up, surprised. The gesture didn't calm his mind, but his nerves steadied a little. "How can I just wait around without doing anything?" he asked, slowly folding his wings back at his sides. "That's easier said than done..."

"Then ask the hunter. Ask what he thinks about the kitsune, 'cause we know how she feels about him." He straightened up. "I'll be with you though, so don't think that you're alone, because you aren't."
