Kiyasa made an indignant chattering sound in the back of her throat and turned her head away. "Feather-brain, I'd say," she agreed, glaring over at the smaller falcon. "I don't want to help after that display, but it just so happens I just finished talking to a falcon, so I might as well." Then their next words caught her interest. "Wait, your sister?" Did Arethusa have siblings? She'd never heard of her having any relations outside of being Rose-Singer's minion, so this was a shock to the green jay. The duo did look a bit like her, didn't they? "Uh, is your sister's name Arethusa by any chance? She's a friend of mine, looks a lot like you two..." She trailed off hesitantly, then eyed Avdimi with spite when he introduced himself. She didn't return the favour.

Molimo brushed him back, ignoring his mutter. He looked back at Kiyasa at the mention of a familiar name. "Arethusa... She's alive then?" He seemed to brighten up at this, and even Avdimi looked dumbfounded. "When you said she escaped, I thought you were kidding. You lied to everyone back then..." "What matters is that she's alive, quiet." Molimo looked at Avdimi, who looked unsettled at this.

Kiyasa looked between the two of them, growing curious of who they were. Maybe they could share some information on her mysterious falcon friend. Arethusa had been hard to communicate with up to this point, and there was always a possibility these two bird-brains knew her well enough to assist. "So, you're her siblings, right? I can lead you to her." She turned around and prepared to flap away. "Perhaps you can tell me a bit about her on the way, huh?"

"What would you like to know?" Molimo replied, keeping a respective distance from Kiyasa. Avdimi looked around, mumbling to himself before looking back at his brother. "Yeah, there's a lot to know about... us," Avdimi muttered, wanting to move.

Kiyasa nodded in contentment at their agreement to share information with her and she started to fly off in the direction Arethusa had left. "When was the last time you saw her?" she asked. "She's been second in command of this whole forest for as long while, so I'm curious."

Molimo thought for a moment, glad Avdimi didn't talk for him. "It's been a few years. Uh, how long has she been second in command? Depending on when she was appointed, depends on how long it's been. Last I saw her was before she escaped through some rabbit burrows." "Last I saw her was the morning of that execution of that traitor. She always disappears after the executions," Avdimi said, mostly to himself even if it was out loud.

Kiyasa thought about that, then shook her head. "It was recent enough. Maybe a little less than half a year ago." A few mere weeks after the Aurestra's assassination, Rose-Singer had proudly picked his new trusted advisor, and from what Kiyasa could tell, she'd been a faithful servant ever since. Well, up until recently, what with the rebellion and all. "What was she like, back when you two dumb-beaks knew her?"

"Now wait a minute!" Avdimi flew in front of Kiyasa, his eyes narrowed. "No one calls my brother dumb-beak except me." "Lay off. This is her home, not ours." He muttered under his breath before going back to his brother's side. "Arethusa was timid, finding it hard to be strong even around us two. She didn't know us until she graduated, from what we called, the butcher's block. We had a sister, but she died during the butcher's block and we met Arethusa after we all graduated. How she managed to get to the high council was beyond me, she'd empty her bowls at any sign of entrails." Molimo shook his head, heaving a sigh. "Seeing the death of our parents didn't help either. There's always that phrase that freaked her out, and I wouldn't be surprised if she still did now." Avdimi snickered, knowing the phrase all too well. "Who would forget that phrase? It was chanted almost every day!"

Kiyasa didn't flinch when her path was cut off by Avdimi, simply coming to a swift stop mid-flap to avoid collision. She didn't comment on his defensive remark, allowing Molimo to settle him, then she continued to fly onward. She listened thoughtfully to them talk. Arethusa struck her as a timid bird, yes, but also very powerful, so the story came as a surprise to her. "And what was this phrase?" she asked.

"I rather not say," Molimo replied slowly, a slight edge to his tone that came as a warning. A thought came to Avdimi's head, and the bird snickered to himself again, wondering if it would work. Then he decided not to, but thought of a way to take another approach to his plan. "The word would likely trigger memories, ones she's been dying to forget," Avdimi added, receiving a glare from Molimo at his choice of words. He would tell Kiyasa the phrase sooner or later. "Besides, there's probably a lot of things Arethusa doesn't know or how to deal with them. Everything's new out here. It's been an adventure to explore without Talbot's talons on our throats!" "Don't mention that stupid eagle, he had it coming. So did the rest of the council," Molimo spat.

Kiyasa glanced back at Molimo, giving him a careful look when he spoke his words with that faint but evident point. She noted that she had to be careful with these two and considered her actions carefully from there on out, deciding to listen to them talk rather than speak herself. She was curious about this 'stupid eagle', but she'd refrain from asking until she was on better terms with them. "I can't lead you straight to Arethusa, assuming she's returned to her nest," the green jay explained, "However I can show you to the tree she nests in. I wouldn't recommend you get close to it either, the wild bat hawk living inside might eat you." She snorted with amusement, then stiffened as the grand tree came into view, all of it's colourful decorations calling attention to it and it's special inhabitants. Her wings moved rigidly as she glided towards the tree, then landed a few metres away in the branches of a nearby oak. "Her nest is around there," she explained, gesturing to the branch she'd met the advisor on earlier. "Wait for her to leave her nest before you speak with her to be on the safe side, and if she isn't there, keep your eyes on the skies. She patrols regularly."

Molimo nodded, landing beside Kiyasa. "Knowing Avdimi, he'd-" His thought was confirmed when Avdimi flew head, landing on the branch and looking around. "Thought so." Avimi looked around, before calling out and jumping when he received a reply. "What do you want?" Avdimi heard, before tilting his head. "After all this time, you sound so cold. Thought you'd be happy to see your brother." He jumped again when Arethusa appeared, smiling brightly and Arethusa nearly tackled him. "You have the devil's own luck Arethusa, it's good to see you again."

Kiyasa cussed under her breath and glared at Molimo. "Get your mouse-brained brother away from there, for the love of all that is good in this godforsaken world!" she spat quietly, so as not to attract attention to herself. "it's dangerous. I don't care what you have to say about it, either, but it won't be good for anyone to attract Our Almighty Greatness's attention." Her feathers were ruffled with agitation.

"He doesn't care. After what he went through, whatwe went through, I'm not surprised." Molimo shook his head, sighing. "I don't even know what he went through, he wasn't always like this," he said quietly.
Arethusa looked around before nudging Avdimi away from the tree. They flew over to where the other two were, Arethusa's mood much brighter than usual. Avdimi received a smack from Molimo, but shook his head.

Kiyasa sighed with relief when Avdimi and Arethusa left the vicinity of Rose-Singer's infamous perch and returned to where she and Molimo were waiting. She was pleased to see Molimo smack him and snickered. "I'll get going, then. Please, Arethusa, keep 'em out of trouble." She jumped from the branch and flew off, only to be knocked straight out of the air by an oncoming crow. Both of them spiralled out of control and tumbled to the ground, failing to right themselves before they hit the ground. "Watch where you're going, you bloody idiot," Kiyasa hissed, pushing herself back onto her feet. The crow hopped up without concern and grinned. "Kiyasa, my belligerent little soldier, rejoice! Where's the high-advisor? I have news!" Kiyasa narrowed her eyes. "Shijin, what in the world are you...?" Then her eyes widened and she swore. "Shut your beak, idiot! Keep it quiet! Escort Arethusa quietly away to somewhere we can discuss. qui-et-ly." Shijin nodded and flapped up into the branches of the tree. "Arethusa, come with me! I have news, yes I do!"

Arethusa looked up, blinking. "Ah, Shijin. Do I have to hear the news now?" She asked, looking at her brothers. "My family reunion just started. And I don't think leaving these two alone is a bright idea." Molimo shook his head, "Go on Arethusa, the two of us can wait. I knew patience from being a general, but depending on what the news is, you might want to hear it." Avdimi blinked, tilting his head. "The crow seems to want to share the news. What the heck is happenin'? A rebellion?" "Don't joke about that." Molimo shook his head, while Arethusa looked away with a sigh.

Shijin hopped from foot to foot, shaking the branch with his wait. "It is incredibly, stupidly important beyond all comprehension and I need you to come with me immediately." The crows feathers were ruffled due to his anticipation, and one might say he was really rocking the mad scientist look that day, which was fairly accurate. Excited, he leaned in close to Molimo and Avdimi, breathing, "It is indeed a rebellion, ohoho!" Kiyasa joined them and biffed Shijin over the head with her wing. "Shut up, you loon! What in the world has got your feathers leaping off of your skin?"

"A rebellion? We might be able to provide assistance," Molimo spoke quietly, and Arethusa jumped. "What can you two possibly-" "Talbot is dead, Arethusa, because Molimo created a rebellion to end him. Why do you think we're here?" Avdimi hissed, effectively shutting his sister up. He turned to Shijin. "Molimo here was the trainer and leader of five teams. We know what goes on here, and they wait for Moli's order here." "Don't call me Moli," He shivered, being reminded of a certain bird he used to know. Arethusa shook her head, "You two are unpredictable."

Shijin scrutinized the pair of unfamiliar falcons with keen interest. "If you think you could help, I'd be much obliged. But we'll have to discuss it later. I need Kiyasa and Arethusa to come with me, alone, for now." he fluttered his wings excitedly. "So come on already, let's get going, the longer I'm away is more crucial time wasted, we can't afford this!"

Arethusa hesitated, before Molimo and Avdimi told her it was alright. "I'll be back soon, just stay here. Lead the way Shijin," Arethusa turned to the crow, taking off and ready to follow.
