Hawk was talking to Sun and Dew quietly, while Soul and Storm listened. Oddkit was still asleep. Scarlet walked up to the five. "Why don't you five go get moss? Sun, you know the way back to the forest. I'll take care of everyone here for today." The ginger she-cat nodded, leaving with the others. Soul hesitated, before leaving with the others. Scarlet sat next to the calico kit, deciding to clean her pelt.

The sound of everyone else stirring roused Mintpaw. "Mm, no, don't wanna train yet," she grumbled sleepily. Dawnscar snorted at the drowsy apprentice and cuffed her on the ear. "Up you get. We may not be training, but we are busy."

"The five are out getting moss, you all are with me today." Scarlet nuzzled Oddkit, waking her up. The kit stood, stretching her limbs before walking beside the old she-cat. "Any questions before we head out?"

Everyone looked at each other, but no one could come up with any questions. Except for Hollowpaw, naturally, who always had questions. "What kind of things do you think we might see? Anything we should be particularly cautious of?"

"Dogs are the main problem, and they'll be behind fences, barking their heads off. Other cats are fine, as long as you're with me that is. They're territorial, and food isn't the easiest to find out there. Rats are a problem too, but there should be none out there." She shrugged, looking at the stairs for a moment. "Actually, do any of you want to hunt before we go?" Oddkit bounded to the stairs, and Scarlet managed to pick her up before she got up the first step.

Dawnscar nodded. "That would be for the best, I think. I'll go. If anyone wants to help I'd appreciate it." He turned and walked to the stairs, hopping up each one with graceful steps. Icepetal and Burningsky followed. Hollowpaw considered it, but he had another question. "You said we'll be fine as long as we're with you? You must have a high standing." "Queen of the twolegplace...?" Mintpaw wondered quietly with dreamy, excited eyes.

"Well, not really. Let's just say staying with some highly known kittypets was a good and bad idea," She said, snorting at the memory. "Those three were bossy, but everyone liked them for how they looked. Killing them out of annoyance was a good idea." Oddkit pawed her collar before she was set down. "Do you think we'll see anyone you know?" The kit mewed. "Very likely."

Hollowpaw nodded. "Okay, I think I understand." He flicked Mintpaw with his tail. "Let's go help hunt." The two apprentices began walking up the stairs, but the three warriors were already returning. Dawnscar and Icepetal were each holding an extra mouse, once for both apprentices. "Thank you," Hollowpaw murmured as he took the prey he was given. Everyone else silently began to eat.

Scarlet helped Oddkit eat, finding the task somewhat relaxing. When the kit was finished, the old she-cat ate the rest. Then the two talked quietly to one another, making sure the others couldn't hear what they were talking about. They ended their conversation minutes later, waiting for the others to finish.

Everyone finished up quickly and groomed themselves. Dawnscar took a look at everyone and nodded. "Okay. We're ready to head out, Scarlet," he meowed.

Scarlet nodded, "Then let's go. Stay together, otherwise you'll have to find a way to get back here or let the dogs find you." She went through the entrance, Oddkit followed her. Picking up the kit, they went on top of the fence and down to the otherside. Scarlet put the kit down, and they waited for the other five.

Icepetal took the lead while Dawnscar held up the back of the group. The apprentices were snug in the middle, while Burningsky loitered wherever she pleased, drifting around the group as suited her. They jumped up the fence after Scarlet and each one landed with a soft patter on the opposite side. They then sat idle, waiting for Scarlet to continue leading them along.

The she-cat walked off, the kit by her side. "Twolegplace, it's easy to move around if you know where to go. Otherwise, it's a maze to others who're passing through." Her collar bounced as she walked, and Oddkit found herself struggling to match Scarlet's pace. She picked up the kit once more, turning her head to let her climb onto her back.

"It is quite the maze," Icepetal agreed. "These structures are massive, and so colourful. Twolegs are colourful animals, aren't they?" She was quite entertained by it. "Yes, and they're made of so many odd materials. Wood, I noticed, but the rest is foreign to me," Hollowpaw agreed. "How unique. They truly are beyond us."

"Hearing you all say that is funny. Hawk found it repulsive, wondering how kittypets can stand living with them. Sun and Dew kept their opinions to themselves, while Soul and Storm were curious about their lives." She stopped beside an alleyway, looking in before continuing on. The sun was shining brightly today, and there was no sign of twolegs walking about at all. Scarlet looked at a fence as they passed by, listening to the dog that lived on the other side, barking loudly as they passed by.

"If I may," Hollowpaw piped up, "Hawk seems to find most things repulsive." Mintpaw snorted and began to giggle, but held her tongue. The warriors ignored their shenanigans, though Icepetal showed a chuckle of her own. She fell quiet at the sound of a dog barking. "Oh! I was startled for a moment, but it's behind the fence, right? It can't get us." "If twolegs are good for anything, it's keeping those rabid animals in check," Dawnscar commented.

Oddkit giggled as well, but quieted down as they passed. "That is true, but some bring death wherever they go. I've heard that twolegs will tear down forests for their own plans. The dogs though, most are flea-brained, others actually know what to do to not get their fur torn." Scarlet continued along, stopping beside tall grey cylinders. One of them was covered, while another was open and smelled of carrion. "This is what twolegs use to discard food and other things. The loners here also get food from these things, but only when it's still good."

Mintpaw crept up to one of the cylinders and gave it a tentative sniff. "Ack! Eww," she whined, dancing away from it. "Bad. That's bad." "I can smell it plenty fine from here," Hollowpaw remarked. "It's rancid. They eat from there? And why would twolegs discard food?"

"Just like why we toss out prey, it rots. Finding twoleg food fresh and still good is nice when finding prey is rare. It's better than rats." A thought came to her head, and Scarlet turned to the five curiously. Oddkit laid herself down, finding it odd that she could feel the elder she-cat's spine. "How would you like to meet a kittypet? I know one that likes travelers, and his twolegs don't feed him food that looks like rabbit droppings. You'll get to learn a bit from him, and he'll learn a bit from you. What do you say?"

Mintpaw was the first to respond. Her eyes lit up in an instant and she nodded. "Yes yes, let's do it!" Hollowpaw's expression glowed with interest. "I too would like to meet him." Icepetal smiled and flicked Dawnscar over the muzzle to silence his unspoken protests. "I suppose that settles it. Let's meet him."
