Hawk lowered his head, grabbing three kits by the scruff and bringing them over. "What do I do with these? Their mother's dead." "You're not killing them, if that's what you're thinking," Sun growled. "If I killed Bracken when he was a kit, we wouldn't be here." "Flea-brain, give 'em here." Garchie took the kits without waiting for another word. "They won't remember today, they're too young. Twist, see if Stream can care for these three." A blue-grey tom with black paws came over, taking them away. "What's wrong with you?" Dew snapped, glaring at Hawk. "If I killed Bracken back then, Scarlet would be alive!" He snarled, stalking away. Soul and Oddkit didn't follow.

("Soul and aids kit")
Icepetal snapped to attention and hopped to her feet. "Make sure they find a safe home," she ordered, before relaxing once more and taking a seat. Such a small, frail life didn't deserve to suffer through any more cruelty than it already had. Everyone else was silent.

(spell check sucks so much.. I'm gonna edit that.)
Soul shook his head, muttering something as he wrapped his tail around Oddkit. Sun sat next to him, Dew and Storm decided to help the others with the graves. Hawk ran to the forest, wondering if he could find what he needed.

Dawnscar decided to put himself to use and helped with burials. Everyone else sat in a tightly huddle group, barely speaking.

Oddkit stood up, bounding off with Nightfire. The two returned with some lavender, managing to find some nearby. The black tom thanked her for the idea, limping forward and laying it on her. Sunshade helped him split it apart to make it look neater.

The five clan cats gathered before long to watch the proceedings with heavy hearts.

When the sun started to rise, Hawk walked forward and nudged Sunshade and Nightfire. Tyso looked at him wearily, but decided to listen before speaking. "I, uh, found a spot. She liked views, right?" When one of them nodded, he helped Sunshade pick up Scarlet and start the trek towards the grave. Tyso followed, and so did the others. Even Garchie and Rowley joined after a moment's hesitance.

Mintpaw had dozed off at one point, and seeing that the other cats were beginning to move again, Hollowpaw quickly nudged her awake before joining the warriors. Mintpaw looked around blearily, then frowned and walked over to stand next to Hollowpaw. The four of them (as Burningsky decided to exempt herself from the meeting) of them held a short, quiet discussion, then got up to follow, with Burningsky trailing behind at a relaxed pace.

Sunshade blinked, following Hawk up a hill and spotting a hole. Nightfire helped lower Scarlet into it, muttering their goodbyes as they started to cover the hole. Tyso sighed, "Not sure if I can handle anymore of this." Garchie nudged him, Rowley muttering his agreement. "When do we go home?" Soul asked quietly. "Tomorrow. Get everyone's wounds healed and a rest. It'll help." Hawk looked up at the sky, narrowing his eyes before shaking his head. "I'll fix you lot up. I can put my knowledge of herbs to the test." Nightfire pushed one last mound of dirt before standing up.

Icepetal nudged the pair of apprentices over to Nightfire. "Get these two patched up first, why don't you? I'm sure all of us can wait." Burningsky sighed and flicked her paw, looking like she was about to make a witty remark, but Dawnscar's glare silenced her. Mintpaw grumbled. "Aw, I don't need icky herbs, I'm not even hurt that bad.." Hollowpaw sighed. "Even a tiny scratch can get infected."

Nightfire nodded, glancing at Oddkit. "Of course. Oddkit, can you help me out?" The kit nodded. "Thank you. Let's go back to camp, there's a shortcut, so we don't have to go through the abandoned den." He flicked his tail, limping away with everyone bounding after him. Sunshade lingered by the grave, before following with Tyso, Rowley, and Garchie. "Killing that cat felt so satisfying, but now I just feel guilty." "Relax Sunshade, you'll get your answers soon. Bracken had to die, don't fret over the death that was coming for him," Tyso replied.

Dawnscar sighed. "I'm just happy that it's over and that we can go home soon," he grumbled, keeping his head raised despite his fatigue. "I wonder how things were going back home." Mintpaw nodded. "Me too! Oh boy, I've missed so much training! My mentor's gonna kill me!"

Sun sighed, "I'm not sure how your leaders are going to react. In case you haven't noticed, we've been gone for more than a moon." "They'll be fine, besides, we can escort them back to camp. Nothing wrong with that, right?" Soul asked. The others hesitated. "I'm not sure. I mean, we aren't suppose to show ourselves-" "Dew, it's been countless moons since we were put into this duty. We might as well show that we're still kicking it out there," Hawk snapped, stopping to cough and gasp for breath. "Are you alright?" "I'm fine, let's just keep moving," Hawk responded to Storm, his voice had become a rasp in that small moment. As the tom walked, he started to wheeze and gasp for breath every so often.

Mintpaw's ears drooped a bit and she sighed. "I just want to be back home..." the young female mewed under her breath, suddenly feeling nervous about the return. Icepetal joined her side and smiled warmly down at the apprentice. it wouldn't do to have low spirits when they were on the home stretch, so she claimed it as her job to keep things light. "Now, now. They're our clanmates they'll welcome us with all the love and fun that we missed over these past weeks, I promise." Dawnscar nodded sharply. "They'd better, or I'll march to each of your clans and give them a good cuffing around the ears." "And I'll give them a verbal cuffing," Burningsky offered, sending Mintpaw a light-hearted wink. The apprentice was looking to be in better sorts with everyone's encouragement and a smile returned to her maw. "Oh, really? hehe, but you can't do that, they'll chase you out!" "You come, too, then we can all run away together," icepetal purred, and all but Hollowpaw shared the chuckles that followed.

Oddkit padded after Hawk, looking at him with concern. Sun looked back at the others, shaking her head. "No one is being exiled here. It's not as fun as you think," Sun shook her head, looking at Dew who sneezed and shook her head. Storm followed along quietly, yet much slower than usual. Soul padded beside the blue-grey tom, wincing with every step.
Nightfire turned to them once they were back in their camp, blinking and looking at the five. "Apprentices first, right? Oddkit help me please, let's get your friends fixed up." The kit padded over to him, looking back at her family before helping out. Sunshade decided to help with bringing the herbs to them.

Icepetal glanced at Dawnscar, then both of them eyed the five with concern before banishing the hint of worry and grinning. "We don't plan to be exiled, Sun. Don't worry," Icepetal mewed. Dawnscar placed a forepaw on Mintpaw's head, ruffling her fur. "At least, I'd hope not." Mintpaw scowled at him. "H-hey!" Then Hollowpaw approached, distracting Dawnscar from Mintpaw. The apprentice murmured something, too low to be heard, and Dawnscar flicked him with his tail and shushed him. Hollowpaw blinked up at him, then turned away, an understanding look in his eyes. At Nightfire's words, the two apprentices obediently walked over to be examined.

Nightfire grabbed some horsetail, passing some to Oddkit before going towards Mintpaw. "Find some cobwebs Sunshade, try the warehouse, there should be plenty there." He nodded, calling for a friend before running off. "Sorry if this stings, but I guess you deserve it for getting lost in the warehouse though," He teased, chewing up the horsetail before spitting out and applying the poultice. Oddkit started chewing up some horsetail as she padded over to Hollowpaw. "This must be odd," she muttered, after she spat out the poultice and started applying it on the tom's wounds. Why did she have to use herbs on someone that was twice as large as her?
Sun laid next to Dew, licking a wound that was on her flank while Dew covered her nose with her paws before sneezing again. Storm was beside Dew, keeping an eye on her while Hawk and Soul stayed together.

Mintpaw scowled irritably at Nightfire. "Hey, not funny," she grumbled, flattening her ears as a humiliated warmth rushed to her cheeks. The stink of the herbs didn't bother her nearly as much as the sting of shame in her chest, but she still grimaced. Hollowpaw watched Oddkit with curiosity as she struggled to patch up his wounds. "Tell me if you need me to lay down or anything to reach my back," he said, wondering about the herbs she was using. He knew little about medicine, but it was a field that interested him. Who knew plants were such useful things?

Nightfire purred, "You're fine. I've done it a few times myself when I first started living here. Scarlet got after me and I learned." Despite how hard he tried to lighten the mood, his words when he mentioned Scarlet were laced with sorrow. He sighed, shaking his head and taking the cobwebs Sunshade offered him when he came back.
Oddkit shook her head, checking to see if there's anymore wounds she could reach. "Don't lay down, that'll mess up the poultice and get dirt in your wounds. I don't understand how I know to apply and use this stuff anyway." Sunshade came over, picking her up and helping her reach the rest. "Thank you." "No problem," Sunshade said quietly, a piece of cobweb stuck to his shoulder.

Mintpaw stared at him for a moment, then lowered her head sadly and silently let him finish healing her wounds.
Hollowpaw nodded and let Oddkit and Sunshade place poultice in each of his injuries, reminding himself to be cautious not to disturb the mixture. "Thank you both."
