Survival of the fittest, what does that mean to people? It can mean multiple things, but to us, it's different. To us, it means you need a sharp mind, agile body, and a strong spirit. We aren't really human though, so what are we? We, are velociraptors. Ancient hunters that lived millions of years ago. We didn't live back then, we live now. All because of a place they called "Jurassic World." The thing is, most of us don't even know who created us. We were eggs that were considered "back-ups," "leftovers" or "tests." We were hidden as a result, best thing they ever did to us. How many were there? Over a dozen I think. From what I understand, the DNA that was used to fill the holes of our velociraptor DNA was used to much, so we have some special skills from it. For example, if you have a tongue that can shoot out, you have some kind of toad, or frog DNA. If you have incredible jaw strength or large teeth, you have crocodile or alligator DNA. What about me? Well you’ll find out, no doubt about it. Of course, even with different DNA that makes us unique, there were some that decided to create and make their own pack. There’s a problem with that though, some are more challenging and menacing than others. There’s one pack that think they're superior, we call them Pin-Heads, because of the feathers they have which don’t make a difference to anything. They’re actually called Torhonyxt… it’s easier to call them Pin-Heads. Then there’s the Starved, pretty self explanatory. They’re a group of lost, hungry souls that’ll attack anyone that isn’t them. They’re a mix of pin-heads and regulars, meaning us. They’re easy to spot too, you can see their bones and they’re more desperate. Another thing to add, they’ll eat anything rotten or sick, that’s how desperate they are. Now to talk about where everyone lives. We live in a dense forest, and our base, camp if you want to call it, is beside a large river that borders the Torhonyxth, Pin-Heads, territory. Behind the forest we live in, is the hills that holds rabbits and other creatures that have taken residence, like goats and cows. Luckily, there in a pen that was never taken down and their only escape is to go through our base and-what am I saying, there is no escape for them! Which means we have our food supply, but even though there’s goats and cows there, we hunt them only when needed. The Pin-Heads territory is very similar to ours, but they have mountains instead of hills, which can give them an advantage to prey that love the high skies. Since I don’t live there, I don’t know much else. Now the Starved’s territory, it’s frightening. The territory is a dark, a very dense forest, and a swamp. No one wants to go there, even I regretted it...don’t ask. Before I forget, we’re pretty smart too, as in we can open anything, and know how to use medicine with plants and other things. Of course, we had to learn it before we did it. So, without further adieu, welcome to the pack. Oh, and before I forget, this pack is called Siephus.Rules: You cannot be over powered! -Fun Fact- The Velociraptors in the Jurassic Park series were actually modeled from a raptor called Deinonychus. The Velociraptor is actually about the size as a domesticated turkey. They just went with Velociraptor because it was easier to say. And they were apparently really smart too. Clever Girl.
::Note:: Since it’s easier to remember, the characters will still be known as Velociraptors. Also, when this line is yellow, you may create a dinosaur hybrid, just like Indominus. Also, your dinosaur hybrid won't be playable yet, but you may create them whenever. :Rules for creating your hybrid: The amount of dinosaur DNA you can use for your hybrid is three, even though the Indominus had much more than that, they scientist have a better way of controlling it that way. You may use regular animal DNA, but the max for that is two. The Indominus, for example, could change skin color because of Cuttlefish DNA, and change it's heat signature because of the Tree Frog DNA. So have fun with that. You may have up to two hybrids, even though they would be a lot of work to create, it's your choice, but I suggest starting with one hybrid for the meantime. Otherwise, have fun with your Hybrids!

(And so it begins)
Today was a sunny day. There were a few clouds in the sky, and the land below it was peaceful. In the hills there was a faint sound of cows and goats, and in the forest, creatures call each other and talk. They act similar to humans, and seem a bit like humans as well, if only you remove the claws and sharp fangs, along with the reptilian look. What lies in these forests, and what lives do these creatures have?
A raptor, one of the many dozen on this island. It’s scaly pelt was dark brown with forest green stripes that resemble a tiger, walked through the forest. To be precise, it was a velociraptor, not just an ordinary raptor. This raptor was named Viridian, and she lead a pack within the forest. Her movements seemed similar to a felines, and she seemed bigger than the average velociraptor. Viridian’s bright amber eyes scanned the area before, and around her. She seemed cautious as she walked alone, but she never made a sound. Viridian looked behind her as she felt the leaves and small branches run across her rough back, then she looked forward again.
Suddenly, she saw movement at the corner of her eye and froze. There was a scent close by, and the scent was rabbit. She lowered her head and crouched down, ready to pounce when needed. Slowly, Viridian walked towards where the scent came from, and quickly saw the rabbit. In her head, she counted for a few seconds before pouncing, killing the rabbit quickly with her fangs. Her stomach rumbled as she made the catch, and decided to eat it before going back to the camp. Once she had her fill, she buried the remains and decided to jog, or trot, back to the camp. She wondered how everyone was, since she was out of the camp for almost two hours.

Meanwhile, stalking around camp and generally making everyone's day just that little bit worse, was the pack's resident grump. His reptilian eyes flickered back and forth, tail swishing almost exaggeratedly as he walked. His scaly body moved fluidly, head bobbing slightly each time a paw touched the ground. His clawed forearms hung waiting at his sides. A frown was clear on his long grey snout. It was very clear this raptor wasn't it a great mood... But when was Aekan ever in a good mood? The tip of his long tail twitched irritably a few times as he paused in his steps, the outstretched claws of his feet sinking slightly into the earth. He could've been doing something better than grumpily storming back and forth for absolutely no reason, something productive, but he didn't see how he could possibly do actual work. What nonsense was that?

When she entered camp, she saw that everything was the same as she left it. The hunters were talking to each other, the little ones were playing...all except one. She frowned when she saw Aekan stalking around camp. "Did someone rob your kill or something?" She asked, taking a few steps forward. Besides feeling annoyed, she was also worried when she saw one of her pack-mates like this.

"Eh?" Aekan asked, swinging his head around to glare at the familiar female, Viridian. He snorted, rolling his eyes. "No. Nothing of the sort," he responded, tail flicking. "Don't ask such arbitrary questions. If I had a problem, I'd tell you." Then he continued walking, huffing. "Actually, I don't think I would. No one around here can do anything worthy of my time. Honestly!" He continued ranting to himself out loud as he sauntered to the other end of the camp, intentionally making his steps heavy although he was actually pretty light for his species.

"If no one can do anything that's worth your time, why are you here? Sounds like you don't need anyone," Viridian snapped, gaining a few of her pack-mates attention. This was one of the many reasons why she lead her pack alone. She hated when some other raptor acted they were the higher than anyone else.

"We all know the answer to that. None of us could survive alone," Aekan would mutter in response, growing aggravated. "You may as well be telling me to rip my own tongue out." He lifted his chin indignantly, tail still swishing away behind him. He stopped pacing, walking up to Viridian. He was smaller than her, but he acted like he was much bigger, drawing in close in a challenging manner and eyeing the alpha raptor. There was fire in his eyes, burning strong, though it had no fuel. He had no reason to be so angry all the time. He simply was.

She narrowed her eyes at him and bared her fangs, "You're just like my pin-head of a brother. You have enough sense to survive, but not enough to see what's important." Her hind claws tapped the ground, and now she could feel everyone's attention on the two of them. Viridian raised her head, knowing that she was the one in charge here, and that she wasn't intimidated by this raptor. "If you think that you have more strength, then by all means," she ignored the Healer's pleas, knowing this would end in one way or another. "Show me what you have at dusk in the field, Aekan, and prove that you don't need anyone to help you." One of the Healer's shoved her, making her snarl at them in return. She watched as they shrunk back, walking back to their den.

Aekan snorted. "You're awfully easy to trigger, aren't you? Very defensive. Fighting isn't necessary here, but if that's that you insist on, then so be it." He gave a nonchalant, and very arrogant, flick of one of the claws on his hand-like forepaws in a dismissive manner. "Dusk, in the field, correct? Well, if that's all, I don't see a reason for this conversation to continue." He gazed at the healers, surprised she was angry enough to scare them off like that but not intimidated in the slightest. Of course, he had no intention of hurting her, or anyone for that matter, but if she wanted a fight then for the sake of his pride he'd deliver.

"I'm triggered when someone's head is filled with feathers," she replied bitterly, then walked to her den. Once inside, Viridian growled in annoyances and pace back and forth. Thoughts went through her head and she muttered a few to herself. After a few moments, she toke a few deeps breaths and relaxed. "Out of all of them, he's the one that makes me angry," she told herself. After a few moments, she laid down.

He snorted at her remark. "Feathers," he repeated quietly with a shake of his head and left the camp, deciding to go for a little run. Running helped him think. His tail waved behind him as he moved with light, swift steps, powerful legs carrying him quickly. So, he was in for a bit of a tussle, it seemed. Well, it wouldn't have been the first time his arrogance landed him in a fight.

Viridian closed her eyes for a few moments, and opened them to see a smaller raptor in front of her. She was the youngest out of all of the hatchlings, but she held a big spirit. The leader herself admired the silver and ice colored pelt she wore, a few memories passing through her head at the thought. She smiled softly, wondering if the small raptor was going to ask her again. Instead, she was surprised at the small one's words. "What has you so on edge?" The little hatchling hummed, putting her small claws on the others snout. Viridian sighed and looked at the wall. "The herd is getting smaller, and my pin-head of a brother, stubborn as he is, always keeps his word. I'm not sure if the Starved are advancing or not..." She replied. "Just, don't worry or tell anyone about it, alright Novinska?" The young one nodded, before settling down beside the leader's side. Viridian hummed happily in response, remembering that she wanted to raise someone of her own, one that has part of her blood. She nuzzled Novinska before laying her head down again, this time, she fell asleep.

Having run off his frustration, he turned and made his way back to the camp, feeling a bit calmer now. He stepped into the camp, moving with light steps, and sat down away from everyone else. (I have no muse what is this)

(No muse?)
She woke up and noticed that Novinska wasn't in her den. After a few moments, she stood up and stretched her legs before walking outside. When she saw that the sun was starting to set, she walked out of camp. Viridian reached the field in a matter of minutes, muttering a few words when the Healer arrived.

(Yeah. Normally I'd have the creativity to write more than that >.<)
Aekan soon noticed the sun beginning its steady descent for the horizon. It would be dark soon. It was time for him to head out. He swiped his tongue over his teeth and briefly stretched his legs before jogging off for the place he had promised to meet Viridian. His tail swished behind him as he paced his bounds, eventually arriving. He stepped out in front of the pack leader, head high and fearless. "I'm here."

(Ah, I see. I know the feeling.)
"So my pack mate wasn't lying. What did you get yourself into Viri?" Viridian growled and turned her head to see Quetzal, the feathers on his head a bright orange. "What are you doing in my territory, and what's with the spying?" She spat, walking over to him. Quetzal's pelt was a mix of different shades of orange and green. His amber eyes shined brightly against the darkening forest. "I just wanted to see you, and give you news about the Starved." Viridian frowned at this, but proceeded to nod.
"At noon, I was met with the corpse of my mate. The Starved are getting braver, even going as far as going during the day. Then before I came here, my healer came back with a blood ridden pelt. She told me that the Starved had gotten a hold of her, but told her a message she had to deliver." "Well what is it! I don't have all night," Viridian responded, watching her brother's expression falter. "You and me, are their next prey. In two night's time, we will be dragged to their forest and receive a slow death. They will make chaos to our packs as well, giving everyone a nightmare."
Viridian stopped, taking in her brother's words. She didn't like the idea, and considering that a horde of the Starved is similar to a horde of plague ridden rats. Everyone's lives were at stake, something had to be done. But what?
"What do you expect me to do? I can't handle those worms alone, or with your help. We're stranded here as much as they are. Figure out what you want to Quetzal, because it seems that they rather taunt and play with your pack more than mine. I have received no word about the Starved, and at your age, taking a partner was a foolish choice." The rival leader snarled at this, but didn't do anything to stop her words from continuing. "They are getting braver, sure, but if they were smart, they would have gone for my pack first. Remember last time we fought? I recall my pack winning by a landslide."
"Enough of this. I'd thought I would pass the information, but just coming here has shown that there is no way to see which side has a better chance. I came to do what I came for, and I'll take my leave." The raptor turned and walked off, disappearing into the forest. Viridian watched as he took his leave, but the message lingered in her mind.

It seemed as though Aekan was fated to be ignored in preference of much more pressing matters. He would have raised a fuss, considering he had come out all that way expecting a fight he wasn't going to get, but this news was much too interesting to interrupt. It wasn't every day someone from the rival pack showed their faces, especially not under such calm circumstances! He balanced his weight in a comfortable fashion and listened to the exchange, flexing his paws when he heard that this was about the Starved. He was pretty sure most of his kind felt a twinge in their stomachs when they heard that name. And the thought that they were getting bolder made some of his harsh demeanour slip out of his control, giving way to uncertainty. He looked first at Quetzal as he walked away, then to Viridian, who was doing the same. He approached her, his light body moving quietly. "Looks like you've got some weight on your shoulders now. I hope you're planning to take care of this pest problem soon." He snorted. "But anyway, can I just go back to the camp now? I think I'd like to sleep."
