Viridian stood in the middle of the field, Quetzal at her side. "With our pack in the forest, with some at our bases, waiting for them to show isn't so bad," Viridian muttered. Quetzal nodded beside her, his feathers stiff as he watched the disappear over the trees. "It's almost time... I feel like the eyes are already on us." Viridian sighed, nodding. "Let this end, it's time things change."

Aekan and Tarka were standing among the ranks of raptors. Aekan was ready to snap into battle mode at a second's notice, while Tarka was shaking so hard she looked like she might fall over. But both of them were determined to claim victory. It was only a matter of time before the enemy showed itself. They were as prepared as they'd ever get.

Viridian nudged Quetzal, making him look forward. The sun was gone, and sickly, damaged, raptors came out of the dark woods. Some were missing limbs, claws or teeth, and were heavily scarred. Within moments they were on the field. The two alphas growled, then called for their own packs to join the field.

Aekan rushed into the battle, swiping his tongue across his maw and letting out a hiss, prepared to take on any foe with his venom-laden fangs and sharp, deadly claws. Meanwhile, Tarka stayed at the back with the other healers, ready to help anyone who suffered injuries out on the battlefield.

Before Viridian or Quetzal could call out an order, Avana ran out with the remains of her pack. Some startled growls came from the Starved, but Avana and the rest of her pack hissed in return. "We end this tonight!" Avana snarled, lurching forward and attacking the nearest opponent. Viridian and Quetzal joined in, as well with the rest of the pack.

Aekan charged, using his small, agile body to his advantage as he hopped onto an enemy's back and sank his teeth into there necks, not letting go until they sank to the ground and were engulfed by a fit of spasms. Then he looked for someone else to fight, a growl reverberating in his throat. He spun around as a raptor approached from behind and engaged in battle.

Viridian fought beside Quetzal, tearing an enemy from his back. She yelped when two leapt onto her back, but managed to drag on off while Quetzal dealt with the other. Avana fought beside her Beta, the two trying to find the one who started the entire thing.

Aekan fought alone on the front lines, dodging past a large raptor's kick and nipping its tail in return, causing it to growl in pain. It spun around and tried to headbutt him, but he dodged, only to have another raptor claw his back. He cursed and tried to think of a way to deal with them both at once.

Avana flinched as a raptor hit her with it's stub arm, her Beta taking care of said raptor in a flash. She spotted the leader and went for it, her Beta behind her. Viridian pushed a raptor into Quetzal's claws, then ran towards Aekan. With a snarl, she leapt and tackled the raptor that was on her pack-mate's back. "Stay with the others, venom will only do so much!" She snapped, clawing the enemy.

Aekan just nodded to Viridian, flashing a grin of gratitude before retreating backwards to one of the more well-defended areas until he felt confident enough to return to the center of the fight.

Avana tackled the enemy, the two rolled into the dirt before the Beta stopped them and killed them. Avana stood, her side bleeding as her Beta helped her stay up. Viridian dashed for another as the body underneath her went limp. Quetzal was clawing at an enemy's back.

Aekan worked with a few other raptors to slay their enemies one by one. Tarka was bustling away tending to the injured.

Viridian watched as the enemy's thinned, and only when she believed that enough had been killed did she give a call to stop. Quetzal joined in the call, and Avana's Beta followed.

Aekan and his little group halted, responding to the call after finishing off their final opponent. Tarka ignored them, though, continuing to tend to the wounded.

"The threat has been dealt with, and the Starved are no more. Along with the threat of those exiled, a new treaty has been issued. Avana's pack shall live peacefully with the two packs: Torhonyxt and Siephus. We will still live in the darkened woods, but our pack shall be known as Avaxile. Let us hope the three packs can keep the peace, for as long as we remain and live." Avana's Beta called out, looking across his pack-mates before settling his gaze on Viridian and Quetzal. The two gave a nod, letting the Beta continue. "For now, we shall regrow our ranks, for all we have is mothers and young ones. May the three packs, Siephus, Torhonyxt, and Avaxile, live peacefully under the stars."
"And before we go back to our bases, a gathering will be held every crescent moon. It will be a time of peace, and we'll know what happens in territories that aren't our own. Do we make ourselves clear?" Viridian shouted, hearing agreements from her pack-mates, and the other pack's raptors.

Aekan called his agreement loud and clear, happy to see that the alphas were finally bringing change to the packs and allowing a time of peace to begin.
Tarka looked up from her work and smiled at everyone's approval, then resumed.
