"They're in the pack." He grabbed it from his side, putting it on the ground beside Mint. Curling his tail around his paws, he hummed out a sigh. Thank the stars this encounter was over. "The two of you did good, but please dim it down on the succubus façade. Some creatures might take you seriously if you behaved like that."

May whined at L as Mint set about finding the bandages and mending up the wound. He took one of the smaller lilies from his hair and commented, "These have been known to have healing properties, so I'll put a bit of the pollen in the wound." He used his finger to collect a bit of the powdery substance from the flower. Then he wiped away the blood and applied the pollen to the cuts. Then he let the flower fall to the ground and he applied the bandages. May, meanwhile, was ranting. "Aww, but that was so fun! And so what if someone takes me seriously, I can defend myself. And I've got you two with me, and you can defend me if I cant. Even though I can. But you can still help, y'know. And plus, I'm sure there are benefits to if they believed me, like maybe I could convince them to do something for me, or something! And..." And she continued to vent.

L groaned, using a mute spell and muting May. Even with the amount of blood he loss, even if it wasn't much, he was receiving a headache. Rather receive a rant later in the day when he was feeling better. He stayed still though, letting Mint do his work and wincing here and there.

May carried on talking, hardly noticing that she had been forcefully muted. Mint finished up, then stepped back. "There, all better." He showed a small smile, evidently proud of his work.

"Thank you. Now let's enjoy the quiet, before she notices," He mumbled, closing his eyes and humming in content. His wings were tucked to his sides, his tail wrapped around his paws.

Mint nodded in agreement and sat down, leaning against the dragon and closing his eyes. The silence was a rare thing, and he was enjoying it. But not for long. May finally finished venting and fell silent with a mighty sigh. Then she looked over at L and Mint. 'When are we leaving?' were the words she mouthed, but of course, no sound came with them. She blinked in confusion, then tried to say the phrase again. And again. Then she looked down at the ground and tried clearing her throat, but it didn't help. She fretted for a few seconds, not certain how to proceed, then her eyes lit up and she glared at L. She began shouting soundless insults at him and pointed angrily at her throat.

L opened his eyes and looked at her, finding it amusing to see her soundlessly angry. He also found it to be something else besides amusing too. "Let's just rest for now. Come on and nap." He grabbed the back of her shirt with two claws, bringing her over and putting her between his paws. His head lowered beside him and one of his wings laying across Mint like a blanket.

May jumped when the back of her shirt was tugged, but didn't struggle as she was brought to rest between L's large paws. She scowled at him and mouthed a few more soundless insults, then sighed and looked up at the sky. A nap didn't sound too bad, if she was being honest with herself. She snuggled in and let her body relax, enjoying the warmth that L's large body gave off. 'Sleep tight,' she mouthed, a faint smile on her lips. Mint used his hand to muffle a gasp of surprise when he suddenly found himself in the shelter of one of L's grand wings. He gazed around at the tough leather with round pink eyes, his pale cheeks turning the same colour as the lilies in his hair. Concealing a shy, content smile, Mint laid down and permit himself to rest.

He let himself fall into darkness, the burning in his throat dulled until it was no more. Sleep helped one heal faster, and if they were to find a place to camp at night, a bleeding throat wouldn't be a good idea. After all, they were heading to the mountains, and some vampires resided there. His eyes opened to reveal the sky growing dark, managing to see the sunset from where they laid. They were on a hill, but the peaks that should be the outskirts of the mountain range Crimson resided in could be seen. Although he'd like to get moving, he stayed where he was. This was, perhaps, his final moment of living peace. He made sure to remove the charm that kept May from speaking, thinking of fists pound into his shoulders as he flew, knowing that it would grow annoying if he kept her mute.

May dozed peacefully, hardly stirring from her little nest between L's paws as she dreamed of silly, abstract things, featuring pieces of her past and present. They were meaningless, calming dreams, ones which she enjoyed. Her eyes fluttered open and she awoke to a feeling of contentment burrowed into her stomach. She titled her head to look at L. After yawning, she spoke. "Hey. Good morning. Or, evening." She looked up at the darkening sky. "Sleep good? Have any weird dreams?" She grinned. "You gotta tell me if you did." Mint was also awake, but he didn't move, enjoying the peace and his comfortable place while he could.

"I had one, but that's for me to know alone. Let's get moving, we're closer than I thought we were." He moved his paws until they were tucked underneath him, a chill running down his spine as he stood carefully. Unknowingly, his claws scrapped the grass underneath his paws, then digging them into the dirt. This was it, after his search that lasted over a year. And he had the company of a human, a demon from time to time, and a Kelpie. Before he thought that he'd reach his goal alone, with little to nothing to risk. Now he was risking everything, but he was sure to complete. As long as everyone is safe, his wellbeing didn't matter.

May sighed when L denied to share his dreams, but didn't raise too much of a fuss. She had only just awoken, and her snarky retort and crabby attitude mechanisms had yet to power on. "Fine, fine. I dreamed about a few things, actually. I remember in one of them, I turned into a dragon, and it was super cool." She stood up and held out her arms, then hopped around their little camp as if pretending to fly. "It was really cool! I used my magic dragon fire powers to burn down my school. Only one teacher survived - the infamous math teacher! So I opened my big mouth and crunch!" She clapped her hands together. "There he went, safe and sound in my stomach. Or at least, as safe as you can get, boiling to death in a pit of stomach acid." Mint stirred when L moved, pushing himself lazily into a sitting position. He listened to May's exaggerated tale with a slight roll of his eyes.

He stretched his limbs, then cleared his throat. "As much as listening to your dreams are interesting, I'm afraid that you'll have to be quiet. The dragons were going to see aren't as patient as me. Climb on." He lowered his body, waiting for his companions to climb into his back.

May blinked at him and fell silent for a few seconds. Then she approached him, planting the palms of her hands onto his scales for leverage as she scrambled onto his back. "Alrighty, alright. Whatever you say, L." Mint swallowed nervously at the prospect of meeting with a bunch of fierce dragons with short tempers and climbed on after May. "Will, um, will we be alright?" he asked, his voice soft with concern.

He stood up and took off without a word. The air grew cold, and L had to warm himself with igniting fire in his jaws. The night sky seemed to give him cover as he flew, but nothing else as he spotted the place he was looking for. The place itself looked like a fort, and the dragons that stood on guard at the entrance looked at one another as he landed. Another laid in the entrance, the dragon's pelt a pale gold color. He was large and looking at his claws, and L found himself stiffening.
"What brings you here, Lunar? You don't exactly live in this area," the dragon grumbled. His flickered up, somewhat similar to a flashlight. They were a bright, glowing even, cobalt. "Elder of the Tundra, Calder, didn't expect you to be here." "Cut the chatter, kit, there's a lot you're going to have to pay for." Calder rose, towering over L. The guards were standing as well, ready at the mark.
"Out of all the rules you break, you break the one that's easy to follow. You let a human into towns, and you're lucky Crimson managed to make that charm. He isn't though, he's going through trial as we speak." His voice was sharp, yet dripped with venom. Darkblood walked up, looking at the three for a moment. "What are we going to do with them, sir? Kelpies aren't under our rules." "He didn't know that she was a human, leave him be." "Well sir?" Darkblood watched Calder, before watching his leader flicked his tail. He nodded, walking over and grabbing May's collar with a tooth, looking at L when the dragon snapped at him. The dragon went back to Calder's side, whispering a very quiet apology to May.
"Lunar, we can forget all of this happened. Just kill the human, an easy task and we'll be rid of it."

The atmosphere dropped from laid-back and friendly to ice cold and hostile in the blink of an eye, and both of L's accomplices suffered noticeable effects of the harsh change. Mint kept his head low and regarded the upcoming surroundings warily as they glided in for a landing, while May just held on tightly and kept her mouth clamped shut. She glanced back at Mint and although she knew he didn't much like her, she tried her best to comfort him with a gentle smile and a wink. Mint looked at her for a few long moments, then frowned and turned away. May sighed and faced forward again, keeping her expression blank as they landed. The dragons were an intimidating sight, and definitely didn't give a good first impression. She flinched when Darkblood approached her, shying away from his large head and menacing teeth. Then she was grabbed by the collar and she stiffened, lifting her hand to stifle a whimper of surprise and fear. Behind her, Mint edged backwards, watching the scene play out with pink eyes chilled with worry. The near silent apology caught May off guard, but she made no effort to show that she'd heard it. Both of them were focused on L, awaiting his actions with anticipation. They both trusted him more than they would admit, but concern still gnawed at their better instincts.

"What are you waiting for? Kill it Lunar," Calder growled, his voice on the edge of a snarl. L did nothing, his eyes vacant. "She." "Excuse me? Mind you repeat that?" "The human is a she, not an it you daft worm!" L snapped, ignoring the guards who were prowling towards him with bared fangs. "She has done nothing wrong, and I was going to send her home when I had the chance!" "You know the rules and you broke them! Any-" "Shut up! I don't care what you say anymore! First you kidnap my brother because you were 'curious' about him. He's been gone for over a year and now that I find where he's kept with a human and kelpie, you actually give a crap about your kind? The Elder in my area actually cares! How did a selfish, lizard like you even achieve the role you have!?"
Calder was unfazed, but looked at his guards. "Take Lunar to quarantine, and the kelpie in a guest room. Darkblood." He turned to said dragon. "Take it to a different cell. Preferably on a different floor. Lunar's execution happens at dawn two days time." Darkblood nodded, walking into the fort with May in his jaws. The guards managed to constrict L, while a smaller, guard dragon came out to show Mint his room.

May watched the argument with dull eyes. After a few backbites and accusations, she merely hung her head and clutched her sleeves. She could tell that there was no winning in this unfortunate situation, and couldn't bare to watch L be carried away. She posed no struggle as Darkblood hefted her away into the fort, keeping her eyes locked on her hands. Once they were inside, though, she finally decided to open her mouth. "H-hey. What's gonna happen?" she breathed, taking a shaky breath. She considered herself tough, but this trial was pushing her to her limits. The breaking point was in sight, but she'd continue to push that thin glass wall further and further back until the beast chasing her onward caused her to smash right through it. "Is... Is this it?"
Mint looked at the guard dragon, edging backwards to maintain distance. "No, no, I don't... I don't want to. H-how am I supposed to... Supposed to just sit back and watch like that?" His words were jumbling together, and he was hardly aware of how his voice was slowly lifting in volume from a whisper to an alarmed shout. His teeth were chattering, his body was quivering, his mouth was dry. He reached after L as he was contained by guards, his small frame rushing forward without hesitation. Instinct kept him from intruding into the dragons' vicinity, as he didn't want to be smacked aside by a large tail or trampled by a clawed paw, but he stayed no farther. "L!" he cried, tossing one of his gorgeous but delicate lilies into the fray in the hopes that the grand black dragon would be able to catch it.

"Depends. Are you giving up now?" Darkblood asked quietly, knowing that if he spoke normally it would hurt her ears. "You've been on our world for over a month, and I'm not surprised L is attached to you. But do you want to give in this easily?" He continued walking, eventually going down multiple levels. The cold ebbed away the deeper he went underground.
L managed to catch it with his tail, his sapphire and black scales growing dull as he was pushed through. His tail curled around the lily to make sure it didn't fall. Calder glared at the smaller dragon before walking back inside. The small dragon winced, but looked at Mint. "I'm sorry, sir, but you have to come with me. The sooner we get inside..." He sounded like a child, but he lowered his voice. "The quicker I can help you and your friends."

May finally moved, and it was a harsh movement. She whipped her head around, fixing the dragon with a smouldering glare as best she could, considering the way she was being carried. "Listen. In no way am I just 'giving up' here. Not a chance," she spat, keeping her voice as a low, scathing hiss. "What would I be if I did that, huh? I'd be worse than the scum growing in between that scaly prick's teeth." She kicked Darkblood, knowing it probably wouldn't hurt him. She needed to expel the flames that were invading her bloodstream, lighting her nerves on fire until her body was consumed in a burning, fear-inspired rage. "I'll see to it that L gets out of this, and he better take Mint with him, too."
Mint felt a faint sense of calm when L snatched the lily out of the air, then he turned around to face the smaller dragon. "I... Okay," he mumbled, his voice returning to its normal, whisper-like volume once again. He caught the last phrase and looked at him skeptically, but didn't say anything. "L-lead me away, Dragon." He bowed his head to show both a bit of apology for his rash actions and his respect towards the mightier being.
