Shadow sat outside the Ravens den, which was a small cave. She watched her thriving pack go about their business.

Scela was looking through her herbs and roots, "What do I need.."
Night was hunting, he was doing it alone. "Buffalo...buffalo... where are you?" he mumbled, looking around. He looked forward, he pinned his ears and growled

Shadow looked up at the clouds that were slowly making their way above Base. They were gray and heavy with rain.
(Probably figured this out already, but base is camp.)

"Well, found the Buffalo.." Night muttered. The buffalo just stood there, waiting. Night circled around, it just watched him. Finally, Night leaped, almost being hit by a big head.
Scela sighed, "Nothing that I can see." she got up and padded outside, it was getting dark and windy

Shadow was thinking about the battle that happened three moons ago. It still troubled her, the way they had been so easily snuck up on and beaten.

Night bit down hard on the buffalo's neck, the buffalo struggled, then fell. Night leaped off, "There we go, no back to base." he picked up the buffalo with his jaws, half of it was on his back. He walked back to base, he was used to heavy weights on his back.
Scela saw Shadow, she saw her a bit troubled. "Are you alright Shadow?"

Scela tilted her head, "Thinking about the battle three moons ago?"
Night walked through the base entrance, he grunted. This buffalo seemed bigger than other ones he caught

Scela nodded and looked at the base entrance to see Night and a buffalo. "Night! Your not suppose to be hunting alone!" she said, running to her brother
Night flashed her a look, "Well I hunt better alone." he muttered

Shadow stood up and walked over. "Your sister is right. You shouldn't hunt alone, especially if you're hunting buffalo. They are dangerous."

"I know, I'm sorry. I just don't like..." Night stopped talking
Scela growled, "You need to get over that problem Night! Your my only brother! I don't want you to end up like dad!"
Night dropped the buffalo and stood up to his sister, "Don't you dare mention him Scela!" he growled
(family problems always bring drama)

Scela growled, "Fine, go get yourself killed Night. What do I care!" she snapped
Night looked at her, "The problem is, what do you know?" he growled
Scela toke a step forward, "I know enough, not like you! Go, go get yourself killed just like dad." she barked, she stalked away toward her den.

Shadow backed up again. When Scela left, she walked up to Night. "Family problems?" She asked, carefully but warmly.

Shadow looked down. "You don't have to, if it bothers you, but," She began. "Would you mind telling me what happened?" She looked up.

(meant "act like" in last post, sometimes this keyboard wont put up what I'm typing)
"Yeah, I'll tell." he sat down. "We were only pups then. Dad was hunting and saw a baby buffalo, he looked and saw the mother, she was close, but her back was to him and the baby." he sighed. "He went after it. He was also hunting alone, Mom was looking for him because he was gone longer then usually. Mom found him, standing over a now, nearly dead, baby buffalo. The mom buffalo turned around and saw my father standin over her baby." he closed his eyes, "She charged, head charging him. He got hit by a horn and hit a tree. After the mom buffalo left (knowing that her own baby was now dead). Mom ran to him to find him, dead. She left him there, picked up the small buffalo and came back to the den that me and Scela where in." he opened his eyes. "She told us what happened after we ate." Night looked at Shadow, "That's why, Scela doesn't want me to hunt alone."

Scale was clawing the floor of her den, "You are a squirrel-brain Night!" she spat
