Storm woke up and yawned, he stood up and stretched. Then he sat down and started cleaning his pelt

Emerald trotted just ahead of Ember the whole walk.

Emerald tentatively touched the surface of the water, and stepped back when it rippled. But she nodded. "Okay!"

Ember nodded and walked into the water. "Its cold." she said, she soon got used to the water and walked ing more until her legs were underwater

Emerald put a paw in and shivered. "It is cold." She mewed, but slowly waded deeper and deeper into the water.

Ember wadded in deeper into the water. Then she started swimming, "Its so cold, but you get used to it quick." she mewed

Emerald nodded. The cold had already dulled to a point where she could ignore it.

Ember splashed water onto Emerald. She wanted to play in the water.

Emerald jumped in surprise. "Hey!" She mewed, then splashed Ember. She chuckled.

Storm went outside and leaped onto the fence. He looked around and started to feel a bit worried. "Ember is usually here at this time. Where would she go?" he leaped off the fence, quickly found Emeralds and Embers scent trail a followed
Ember nodded, then suddenly went under. She started to panick and started to move her legs frantically, trying to get to the surface. "Help!" she yelled, taking a breath before going back under

Emerald, without a yelp of surprise or a gasp of shock, pushed through the water and to her friend. She tried to grab Ember's scruff without falling over herself.

Ember closed her eyes and went limp
Storm heard Ember and ran to the lake. Without hesitation, he jumped in and swam towards Ember. He grabbed her scruff and swam towards the shore. He put Ember down and shook his pelt. "The lake? Seriously?!" he spat

Emerald flinched in surprise as Ember disappeared from under her muzzle and she fell over. She quickly regained her footing and scrambled to shore to see who had dragged Ember out of the lake.

Ember coughed up water and stumbled up, shaking a little. "You shouldn't go to the lake Ember. It's not safe and it isn't safe here in Shadowclan territory." Storm said harshly. Ember looked at him, then at Emerald. "Are you ok?" she asked her

"I'm fine, except for the water in my ears." Emerald replied. She shook her head, trying to get the water out.

Ember nodded, then looked at Storm again. "W-Where's your collar?" she asked him. Storm flicked an ear, "So I won't get I wet. Now let's go." he said. To late, a Shadowclan cat leaped out from the bushes and bared it's fangs at them, "Two kittypets and a Riverclan cat. There's something to report. Now die!" The Shadowclan Tom leaped at them and Storm tackled him. "I'm not Riverclan anymore! Ember, Emerald, run!" he yelled. Without hesitation, Ember stood up and ran.

Emerald didn't like the feeling of leaving without helping, but she turned and ran anyway.

Ember was back in her housefolk's yard. She was in a flower bush, shaking. She was quiet and closed her eyes., shaking her head
