A brown she-cat walked back into the house with a bunch of prey. She set them down on the pile and stretched. She knew everything that was going on, even if she couldn't see it.

Shadow woke up. She nodded greetings in the direction of the cat, even though she was blind.

"Fine, since I can't see what most of the stupid trouble is." Broken mewed. "Earlier someone reported that they smelled blood and went to see what was causing it. Apparently, a fox killed three of our cats. Each one was alone."

Shadow stopped. "Broken, you head right. Blaze, you go that way." She pointed left. "I'll keep going this way. Stay alert for scents, remark all borders, and don't miss a whisker length of territory." She walked off.

Shadow searched the territory for anything out of place, going in lines back and forth so she didn't miss a thing.

Blaze found nothing out of the ordinary, no matter how many times he checked. He remarked the borders.
Broken sniffed and stopped, "Why do I smell lavender..?" She muttered, "Someone used lavender to hide their scent, and they used the lavender really heavily." She continued walking until she found the den of the three dead cats in the fox den. "And it leads here, three times too." Broken flicked an ear.

Shadow found nothing. With a grunt of dissatisfaction, she walked off to see how the others were doing. First she went to find Blaze.

Blaze soon refreshed the markers, he still couldn't find anything mysterious. He checked this part of the area at least eight times now.
