Shadow lifted her head and yawned. She stood up and leaped out of her nest, landing on the ground with a small thump. Then she walked to the main room.

Blaze looked at her. "Wolf and Acis are gone, along with the kits."
Wolf greeted Acis when he returned with two squirrels, two voles, and a black bird. They shared a rabbit while the kits had the usual.

Blaze narrowed his eyes. "Your not even afraid that those kits will grow up and be your biggest enemy? And Acis knows some secrets about this place?"

"With a group as big as ours do we really have to worry about something like that?" Shadow asked. "First sign of any unknown scents on the territory and I'm sending out a kill team. Leave the problems to the Praetor, would you?"

Shadow sighed, muttered something, then grabbed a squirrel to eat.

Acis and the kits went inside the den for a nap. Wolf stayed up. Once they were asleep, Wolf started walking. She started walking back to the territory, after she rubbed against a lavender bush.

Wolf was in a tree, she saw one of Shadow's cats and dropped down onto the cat. She shoved his muzzle into the dirt so he wouldn't yowl, then she ripped his throat. She hid his body in a fox den that was still occupied. She killed at least two more and put them in the fox den before running off. She wasn't seen.

Shadow, bored, went hunting. She wasn't as careless as she might've seemed to Blaze. She checked the area of the territory she walked through very carefully for unusual scents.

Wolf cleaned herself in a river, to get rid of the blood and scent. When she was done bathing in the river and dried, she went hunting.

Shadow didn't find any scents, but she did find two plump mice and an injured bird. She walked back.
