Shadestar decided to watch Dimpaw hunt after he caught something. He found the apprentice and stayed out of sight.

When he was close enough, he leaped and bit down on the rabbit throat. "Hey!" Dimpaw looked up and saw a Riverclan patrol. "That rabbit belongs to Riverclan!" Snapped a warrior. "I'm not on your territory, fish-brains!" Dimpaw snapped. The apprentice wasn't on Riverclan territory, he was just in front of the border.

The leader's fur began to bristle, but he stayed out of sight.

Dimpaw snarled and bared his fangs, he unsheathed his claws as one of the Riverclan warriors toke a step forward. "You need to be taught to stay in your place." He said and slashed at Dimpaw. The apprentice dodged and bit down on the warriors leg, then twisted it. The warrior yowled and jumped back as Dimpaw let go. "And you need to be taught not to mess with Shadowclan!" Dimpaw spat, his fangs and part of his muzzle coated in blood.

"Get him." Said the warrior and the patrol attacked Dimpaw. The apprentice dodged them and tackled one of the warriors. They threw him off and the tom pinned him down. Dimpaw yowled in pain as the warrior bit down on his throat.

Shadestar snarled and leaped at Dimpaw's attacker, mercilessly.

The Riverclan warrior yowled and jumped back. "What do you- Shadestar!" He exclaimed. "You should teach that apprentice what's right." Dimpaw rolled and sat up, his throat bleeding and his fur covered in blood.

Shadestar flattened his fur and raised his chin. "I believe your leader should be teaching you where your borders lie." He replied calmly.

The warrior flattened his ears. "We know where are borders are." He looked at his patrol. "Well be leaving now." The Riverclan patrol left. Dimpaw grimaced in pain and looked at where the border was. "Why couldn't they just leave me be?" he whispered.
