Hawktalon was walking through the territory, a few thoughts and ideas in his head.

Rocksinger found his scent trail and followed it, keeping her pawsteps quiet.

He sat down by a bush, looking at the thorns like they were claws.

She saw him sit down and paused to gather her thoughts. Then she walked into view. "Hello Hawktalon," she mewed in greeting.

He turned his head to Rocksinger and smiled. "Greetings Rocksinger, how are you?"

"I'm well," she answered, offering a smile in return. "I'm just feeling a little troubled. As to be expected after a battle, right?" She laughed, trying to make casual conversation and subtly bring up the topic she wanted to discuss through it.

Hawktalon nodded, "Of course. It can always be predictable after battles." He looked around and wrapped his tail around his paws.

"Especially since we didn't do anything to deserve all that bloodshed..." She murmured. "It isn't fair."

He nodded in agreement. "Thunderclan thought we were ignoring the borders. I say that they need to check their borders thoroughly before taking action."

She nodded. "Yes, me too. Poor Shadestar must be so stressed out..." She sighed, lowering her gaze. "I can't help but feel like one of us is responsible for this... A traitor trying to stir up trouble."

Hawktalon tilted his head and thought for a moment. "There could be one. Is so, who?" he scratched his ear, casting a quick glance to a nearby bush.

"Hm..." She murmured. "I'm not sure." She was lying, in fact she was pretty sure she knew exactly who, but she was too cautious to accuse him yet. "Do you have any thoughts?"

"None, but I'm keeping an eye out." He responded.

Hawktalon nodded, then sat up straight when he heard a bush shuffle. "Hawktalon, when are we-?" Dimpaw blinked when he saw Rocksinger and Hawktalon. "Greetings Rocksinger. I hope I didn't interrupt anything."

Rocksinger's eyes briefly narrowed in suspicion, then her face returned to it's usual expression. "Oh, no, not at all. How are you, Dimpaw? The battle must have been tough on you." She offered him a soft smile.

"I'm alright, just glad that the battle is over." He responded, shuffling his paws. Hawktalon walked over to him, "All of us are glad it's over to. I'll meet you at the lake for a drink later, alright?" Dimpaw nodded and walked away, waving his tail to the two.

Rocksinger was growing sceptical (which is a word I cannot spell). Was Dimpaw playing some part in this? The warrior frowned. She would have to have a chat with Shadestar later. She gazed at Hawktalon, then off into the distance. "I should probably be heading back to camp," she commented, flexing her paws anxiously.

"I need to meet up with Dimpaw as well. Good day to you Rocksinger," he dipped his head and walked off towards the lake.

Rocksinger quietly returned to camp. She moved at a quick pace, rushing into camp and hurrying to Shadestar's den. The leader looked concerned when she practically sprinted over to him. "Is something the matter?" he asked, getting to his feet. "It isn't an immediate problem, no," Rocksinger answered, shaking her head, "but there's something I want to discuss with you."
