"Someone sounds like a forever-a-loner." Jay shot back. "Besides, I like quiet toms the best." She looked at Obscure, "Sorry if that was a bit offensive, Obscure."
(It's fine. Jay is pretty much a female version of Jayfeather, but different in a few ways, besides gender)

Jay rolled her eyes at the whistling tom. "Well if your sick or injured, don't come crawling to me, Whistler. Because I won't be helping ya!" She snapped.

Obscure flattened his ears. He nudged Jay, then nodded in the direction her den was, signalling they should leave.

Jay snarled at the tom. She nodded faintly at Obscure. "Why am I wasting my time with you?" She huffed and stalked towards her den.

The humming soon stopped and then he realized he should head back before the she cat finds him. But he just shrugged the thought off and then sang lightly. Soothingly, and pleasant.
