(Whoa. I looked up Night Slash because I like to double check move effects, and it's called 'Crossroad Killing' in Japanese... O.o)
Spark was hit and stumbled forward, then spun around and aimed for Nyvern, using Crunch.

She spun around, using Iron Tail when he bit down on her tail.

(XD Now I'm checking the Japanese names of every move I use... Most of them are the same as ENglish. Flamethrower is 'Flame Emission', which makes sense.)
Spark growled as he was thrown off and used Flamethrower, shooting fire from his maw.

Nyvern blocked the move with a Shadow Ball, then fired a few more at Spark.

Spark yelped as he was hit with the attacks, then went for a Fire Blast. (Fire Blast is called Daimonji and is named after this festival. I'm actually learning things.) |

She dodged again, frowning as she landed behind him. "Too hot-headed like a baby Fire Type. I want to see an Inferno, not a spark." Nyvern said coldly.

Spark bared her fangs at her, frustrated now, and lashed forward, using Fire Fang.

Nyvern frowned and her claws glowed a red and blue, about to counteract the Fire Fang when something tackled her stomach. She was sent back, even stumbled a bit as she regained balance, when she looked up, she saw it was Wave, who looked defensive. "Now that's how you attack," Nyvern commented. Noivern kept Sky from calling Wave back, and saw Ocean watch her. Wave growled, 'Be thankful your jaw isn't broken' to Spark.

Spark looked incredibly angry. "Not healthy to be so hot-headed..." Fiare commented quietly, snickering at the look on his fluffy face. Spark then looked at Wave. He was frustrated that he couldn't even get in a single hit. His tail swished and his body moved with the sound of cogs turning as he used Iron Head, charging at Nyvern.

Nyvern dodged easily. "Too angry to land a single hit. That's his weakness." She muttered.

He was set off by her dodge and tripped, falling forward onto his face. He felt failure bubbling up inside him and it made him want to burn something, but he at least knew that wasn't the best of ideas. He cast a gaze towards Fiare, and she just smiled back at him. He seemed surprised for a moment and then he got back to his paws, turning back to face Nyvern. He wasn't sure what kind of attack to try next. Everything he'd tried up to this point had failed, after all.

'Not really,' Wave muttered, then looked at Nyvern, who gave her slight nod. She tilted her head, then got the idea and sat down. 'Go and fight her, if you want to lose the challenge that easily.' Wave said.

Spark found himself grinding his teeth frustratedly. 'What makes you think you'll help anyway? I doubt you'd be doing any better than me on your own.' Then he resumed focus on Nyvern. He closed his eyes, forcing himself to cool off. Difficult, being a fire-type. He calmed himself as much as he could, then looked up again. Nyvern was obviously stronger than him, but if he could at least hit her once or do some damage, he'd be pleased. He focused, and used Flame Charge.

Nyvern dodged again, growing bored of the battle. 'I would watch and see what her strategy is, for one.' Wave mumbled.

Well, he'd tried focusing, and it did him no good, so now he was just plain angry, and his pelt was flaming just as much as he was. Aqua trotted over, small hooves tapping the ground lightly, and squirted water at him to cool his fur off. He flattened his ears, rolling his eyes. He bopped her on the head with a paw and looked at Wave. 'All she's doing is dodging, what can you get from that?'

'Watch how she moves, and when she dodges again, attack her when she's landing.' Wave responded. She stood up and used Sonicboom on Nyvern. When she dodged, Wave dashed and used water gun on her, hitting Nyvern in the face. Nyvern growled and wiped the water off her face. Wave smirked and looked at Spark, 'Take notes Sparky.'
