I pull out a simple book from my book bag "counting cats" was the title. I Opened up to the 4th page it read "There are 4 cats up in a tree' I pointed to each word "Try reading this."

Snow toke a piece if paper and a pencil and wrote "I know how to read. If I didn't, I wouldn't be able to write. Getting turned into a half-bat creature takes your speech away."

Snow yawned. "Thank you Sophia." She said. Her voice sounded like it didn't fit her, it sounded a bit higher pitched and childer than other kids her age, and sounded sweeter.Her falcon landed on her head again and sat down, Snow giggled. "Being able to talk again is such a relief! I haven't been able to talk in eight years!"

Snow was silent, then she stood up and went to her room. She came back with a very small photo album. "After my family died, some people came and toke me away. They preformed experiments on me. Ones that left me scared, numb, or in pain. I was never part bat before until they changed me." She pulled out a picture from the small album and handed it to Sophia. The picture showed Snow in a test tube, cables, wires, and needles were connected to her. Her eyes were closed and she had an oxygen mask on. She had no wings. "I found the picture when I was escaping. They tested on my so much that there was an effect, which toke my voice. My eyes weren't black and green back then either. I just had regular green eyes."

Snow huffed, "That's why I was distant to everyone at school. I was bullied and the friend I had back then was the falcon. But I guess you're my friend too now."
