She padded through the tunnel, the ethereal glow from her markings lighting the path ahead. Soon it opened out into an elaborately decorated library that made it seem as though they weren't underground at all. It followed the same styling of the no longer existing buildings that had rested upon the location centuries ago, with dark features and bright markings that contrasted beautifully. 'Perfect.' Lapsa hummed in satisfaction. 'It's still here.' She brushed a patch of dust from one shelf. 'Look around if you wish. Don't worry about damaging anything, these age old pages can withstand a lot.' She lifted up a book that looked brand new, despite inevitably being ages old, and flipped through it's pages, which were written in a script that most certainly wasn't a language still around to the present day. In fact, the covers of most, if not all, of the books seemed to be written in this script.

Fafnir looked around the library. "If I knew the language, I could spend a century in here.." he mumbled. "Of course you would, book worm." Tei replied.

'As you wish.' She returned her book to the shelf and looked around thoughtfully. She raised her hand and another came floating to her paws. 'Ah. Here.'

Layla stared in aw. She was taken a back by what the archive looked like. She stood in the door way as her furred tail swished the floor and her ears and eyes showing curiosity.

She stayed silent as she searched the pages, eyes narrowed in concentration. She looked troubled.

'Hm? Oh, no, it's just-- Aha!' Her eyes lit up, glinting with triumph. 'Clever, but not too clever for me. Now...' Her excitement faded and she once again set into a state of focus.

Tei looked around quietly, then looked at her brother to see him counting the books quietly. "You idiot..." SHe whispered and kept looking around.

Layla picked up a book and started reading it. To soon find out she understood the language. "What?" She whispered to her self. "How?.."

'Beautiful words, are they not?' Lapsa asked Layla, temporarily looking up. 'Thats one of my favourites.' Then she frowned and gazed back at the heavily marked pages she held in her hand and a few minutes later her eyes widened. 'Oh...'

Lapsa shrugged. 'I was locked in a cave for centuries, I don't know how language has evolved.' Then she closed the book and it floated back to it's place. 'Anything you want to ask? If not, let's leave. I have something I need to do.'
