Fafnir tilted his head, "Do we still follow...?"

Layla shrugged while she walked down the steps, "not like I have much to live for." She chuckled as she walked.

'Ah, yes yes, keep following. If I wanted you to stop I'd say something.' Lapsa answered, bobbing her head in a nod. 'Now...' The passage grew awfully dark, to the point where the only light came from the faintly glowing markings on Lapsa's pelt, and also the soft light radiating from the crystal. Suddenly, Lapsa halted and looked around. 'Aha!' She cooed triumphantly, walking over to something that, in the current lighting, couldn't be seen. She sighed and unsheathed a single claw, poking something with it, and then the room came alive with blue light, magical orbs appearing in each corner of the room. A machine of some sort rested on the ground. It was small, only the size of Lapsa's head, and had a hole on the top. She bent over and placed the crystal inside, a smile on her muzzle. 'What secrets did you leave unravelled for me, dear Venerum?' She asked herself, thoughts echoing in the ears of the rest of the group as usual. 'Speak to me.' (Gonna wait for you guys to post before Lapsa explains what in the world is going on~)

Fafnir looked around, not sure if he should be surprised or confused. Overall, he stayed silent, and made sure Tei didn't say anything as well.

Layla, amazed by it all, showed no emotion, though clearly through her lime green eyes tey showed curiosity. (Ha, curiosity killed the cat.)

Suddenly, purple light began emitting from the device in the shape of a cat. The figure began to speak, but it's words were unfamiliar, and made no sense. "Asvit. Asvit. Lapsus asvit. Lapsa! Tal retri! Tal nax makel ku, dex ma khuno! Batchi, tal maxt... Gah! Phyrak! Tal krula ma makel mia asvit ma Lapsus Ace! Ma makel... Yon ta..." It continued to speak this nonsense for another few minutes before finally in bowed it's head and disappeared. Lapsa seemed bothered. '...Erska.' She murmured, flicking her tail. 'Ultris...' Then she looked back at the other cats. 'My apologies. I know you couldn't understand any of that. It's the tongue my people spoke in most commonly, even though we possessed the ability to speak every language. Either way, I got what I wanted. Let's leave.' She floated past them. She was being blunter than usual, like she was upset about something. 'Hm... Is there anything you four want to see or ask before we depart? I hate to drag you around like this with no explanation, but it's necessary at the moment.'

Layla shocked, spoke, "what was all this about? What are we doing? Is there a quest?" Layla said her ears flicking, a sign of her nervousness, it was a tell she could never hide, all the others she had concered, but this one was too hard for her, its always brought back memories too.

'A quest?' Lapsa asked, looking over her shoulder at Layla. 'I suppose it could be considered that.' Her ears flattened. 'I guess I should explain why you all are here with me, shouldn't I? I wasn't sure of that myself until just now, honestly. All I knew is that a group of cats would wake me up from my slumber one day, and that they would be special.' She turned around to look at them, ears lifting again. 'In a last attempt to save ourselves and push our species onwards, a few of us sacrificed themselves to transfer the souls of four since deceased legends into a crystal. They then sent this crystal off to float around the world and transfer its power to someone if they were born the moment it entered the vicinity. In the past twenty years or so, though, I've felt its power begin to drain, like it were expelling soul after soul. I can no longer sense its power at all, but I do sense...' She studied each one of them, a look of understanding in her eyes. 'Yes, I see it now. Each of you have the powers of one of my kind locked away in you, just waiting to be brought out. I feel it.' (Basically they each have the spirit of an ancient Lapsus warrior in them. Would you rather I assign what spirit to your characters or I list them and you can decide which one suits your chara best? (Probably should've done this earlier in the RP but I only just got the idea now ))

(I think you should assign them, but I'll wait till Crazy's on)
"So, basically we're reincarnations of your kind...or something?" Tei asked.

(Okay, if you're sure~ Also, I haven't been RPing Dew at all. I feel bad, he hasn't been developed at all...)
Lapsa studied them each, eyes glinting with admiration. 'I can see it now... Mhm, you remind me of them.' She laughed. 'Let me tell you the tale of these four mighty warriors. 'First, there was Virtuis, he who was strong and caring. Then, there was Amina, she who was brave and determined. Next, there was Tietir, he who was stubborn but bright. Fourth came Vifera, she who was mysterious but trustworthy. Each of them were heroes, in their own right, though some had questionable motives when it came down to it. Either way, each of them sacrificed a great deal for a noble cause. Let me tell you each one's tale, if I may. 'Virtuis was a villager with a knack for battle. He was a lowlife working on a farm, running a simple but content life. One day, though, he discovered that the children of a family living nearby had been kidnapped. He was outraged, he wouldn't take such a blatant offence without retaliating. So, he went to the family. He promised he would get their children safely home, and then grabbed his sword and set out. He was known for performing acts of courage, and had saved various members of his village many times from whatever dangers troubled them. He cared for each and every cat like they were family, and would lay down his life for them any day. That aside, he quickly located where the children had been taken. He found them in a cave, starving, shivering, bound by rope, and scared for their lives. They noticeably perked up when he arrived, but not for long, for the danger that had ripped them from their home quickly returned. A demon sauntered into the cave, bearing massive fangs and readying blade-like claws. Virtuis wasn't afraid though, and faced the threat head on with the strength of a lion. Indeed, he did slay the beast, but it costed him. Once the monster was dead he grabbed the kids and ran, but by the time he made it back to the village, he couldn't be thanked for his braveness. He died happily, collapsing from blood loss outside of his home, knowing he had done well for those whom he loved. 'Next, I'll recall the tale of the courageous, bold warrior known as Amina. She was the princess of a kingdom, and lived a life of luxury and peace in her time. But she didn't feel happy in this easy life. She wanted a taste of the outside world. She was taking a stroll along the stony pathways of her home when she overheard rumours that there had been a series of murders. She smiled. Here was her chance to know what it was like! She eavesdropped for the following few minutes, and heard that it was suspected the murderer lived in a nearby settlement, and quickly prepared herself before heading there. She arrived to an unwelcoming site, a gap in the trees lined with skulls. She was growing fearful now, but nonetheless she straightened her stance and clenched her sword. "I won't give up! I must fight, for my home!" These are the words of motivation she strengthened herself with before entering the home of the murderer. A shady tom approached her. "What is it you want here?" He hissed, then he gasped. "You... Are the princess..." A sly grin lit up his face. "What luck! Now you'll die!" "Never, fiend! I won't have my life end at the hands of filth such as you!" Amina cried in reply and charged. She was surprisingly skilled, and soon pointed the sharp end of the blade at her foe. "Feel the powers of justice," Amina snarled, before subduing him and carrying him back to the kingdom, where he was quickly executed. Amina was dubbed a hero, and lived a life of adventure from then on, before being assassinated three years later. Revenge from the group of the murdered she had brought to death.' She paused in her story, taking the time to collect her thoughts. 'Anything you wish to ask so far?'

Lapsa sighed. 'Very well.' 'The third great hero was the one called Tietir. He wasn't exactly what you'd consider kind. He had the tendency to be self-centred and cared little about the feelings of others. However, he was also incredibly stubborn, and never let a challenge fall unanswered, making him a renowned battler among his home of a small town in the woods. However, there was one person he cared for deeply. This was his lover, a beautiful feline named Atrusa. She was one of few who he could connect with, and their bond was overpoweringly strong. Sadly, one day Atrusa disappeared without a trace. Consumed by anguish, Tietir immediately went on an expedition to hunt down what had been so abruptly stolen from him. And indeed, he located her upon hearing her cry for him in the middle of the night. Her fearful screams awoke him and he cursed out of self-hate for letting her be stolen before continuing the search. After a few minutes he came across two suspicious looking individuals riding upon horseback, dragging a wagon behind them. "What do you carry?" Tietir asked, placing a paw readily on the hilt of his blade. "None of your business. Head back to whence you came." One of them answered, then winced as another scared shriek rang out. Quickly the two of them jumped off of their horses and engaged Tietir in battle. His rage gave him strength, but it was also his undoing, as he was blinded by it, and took plenty damage in the duel. He managed to kill them both, though, and freed Atrusa from her binds, surprise to see she wasn't the only one that had been snatched away from home. They happily reunited, but then one of the thought to be dead kidnappers rose up and pounced, pinning Tietir down. The brave tom was killed through a stab in the neck, but not before he mortally wounded his foe, thus saving his love and all the others that had been unfairly stolen from their homes.' (Only doing one this time because I need time to regather my ideas. This takes effort. O.o)

(Sorry for late reply here, I was low on ideas.)
Lapsa thought for a moment, then continued with the tales. 'Finally, last but not least, was the odd young female called Vifera. No one knew much about her, and still little is known of her life. She was a wanderer, a traveller who carried naught but a small bag over her shoulder and a knife. She was very secretive and said next to nothing, except for when she was buying supplies. Every three months on the same day, she would return to a town called Samaya to restock on essentials. Some thought her to be a hired assassin or thief and were wary, but the town sold to her anyway, because money is money. One day, as she was on her way to the town, she encountered a thief entering a house. Narrowing her eyes spitefully, she readied her blade. She opposed crime, and wouldn't stand by as such a filthy act was committed. So she followed, moving silently, knife in hand. The thief saw Vifera and threw a knife at her, striking her leg. This alerted the one occupying the house, a young tom, and the poor male assumed that two thieves had teamed up to raid him. Shivering, he ran to call for help, but the thief pinned him to the ground and moved to silence him before being abruptly stopped by Vifera, who stabbed him through the neck. 'Vifera helped the young tom, who went by the name Fure, to his paws. Then she collapsed, her led bleeding slowly. Fure, feeling indebted to her, bandaged her and gave her medicine, welcoming her to remain in his home while she recovered. She thankfully accepted, honoured by his kindness. When the time came for her to depart she asked if Fure would like to join her. Hesitant at first, he accepted. The two formed a strong bond, trusting each other with their lives, before both were framed for murder two years later after trying to save someone from an assassin and failing. The two were executed side by side.'
