"Then you still have enough energy to train. I think climbing the tree while carrying Oddkit would do," Hawk said, flicking his ear when the kit cheered.

Mintpaw gawked at him. "Huh? Really?" Then she sighed, smiling over at Oddkit with a playful look in her eye. "Oh, alright, I guess I can do that. Come on over here, you little cutie." She walked over and picked Oddkit up by the scruff and moved back over to the tree trunk, preparing to climb it.

"If you drop her, expect to sleep in brambles!" Hawk snapped. Oddkit looked up at Mintpaw, smiling. "Let's do this!"

"Don worry, Hawk, I no gonna drop 'er!" Mintpaw called, her words garbled by the kit's scruff. She jumped at the trunk and began to scale it. The extra weight slowed her down, especially since she had to be cautious not to drop the kit, but she managed, making it up to the highest branch once again.

"Keep doing it until your paws are dragging!" Hawk yelled, sitting beside Soul as he watched the two she-cats.

Mintpaw huffed and climbed back down, then back up, and repeated that procedure until she felt like her head would fall off from holding Oddkit's weight and her legs would snap if she tried to drag herself up that tree one more time. She set Oddkit down on the ground and carried herself over to Hawk. "There," she heaved, doing her best to keep from dropping to the ground and falling asleep then and there.

"Now we can head back, lets go," Hawk turned around and started walking. Oddkit went over to Soul and the two followed the brown tom.

Mintpaw pulled herself along behind them. She had caught her breath, but her paws were not agreeing with her, and carrying her weight proved tough. She lingered a few paces behind the group.

"Again, I told you what you would expect." Hawk said again. Soul sighed and gave a nod, watching Oddkit run ahead to the rest of the group. She pounced on Storm's tail, and he jumped at the action, before chuckling and laying back down.

Mintpaw nodded. "Uh-huh, and yknow what? I'm okay with that," she meowed, feeling a tingling sense of pride underneath the fatigued haze. She walked over to the group and plopped to the ground, closing her eyes with a content sigh.

Hawk felt somewhat surprised as he laid down, grunting when Oddkit rushed into his chest. "So who's doing watch tonight?" He asked, looking at his claws for a moment. "I'll take first the first half, if Storm takes the other," Soul offered. Storm nodded in agreement. "We'll leave as soon as everyone is awake and fed. That shouldn't be a problem, right?" Dew and Sun whispered something to one another before agreeing with the blue-grey tom.

Mintpaw, Hollowpaw, and Burningsky were all already sleeping. Dawnscar and Icepetal watched the others make watch arrangements before they also clocked out for the night.

Soul sat up as everyone else settled down to sleep, smiling as Oddkit snuggled up to Hawk. He looked around the area, then looked up at the dark sky. With a hum, his gaze returned to the forest he was in.
(Time skip I'm guessing?)

(Not at all)
Storm was standing guard still, alert and glancing at his friends as some of them woke up. Sun and Hawk were the first ones up, which wasn't surprising. The two whispered a few things to one another before walking off together. Storm looked at Dew, seeing that she was still sleeping deeply. Looking at Soul, with Oddkit by his side, muttering something in his sleep. "He's sleeping better, that's for sure." Storm shook his head, trying to ignore the sound coming from the nearby Thunderpath.

Dawnscar was up first, followed shortly by Hollowpaw. Hollowpaw tested his injured paw on the ground and found that the pain was just about gone. It didn't cause him any trouble to walk. he sighed, content. Mintpaw was still dozing peacefully, and Burningsky's paws were twitching as she dreamed. Icepetal was also still sleeping, but it was a light sleep, indicated by the swivelling of her ears with each sound she heard.

Hawk and Sun returned with prey, at least enough where each cat could have one piece. Soul raised his head and yawned, standing up and stretching tiredly. Oddkit woke up from him moving, and Dew was up minutes after. Storm went over to Soul, and the two left towards the Thunderpath. "It's morning, and it isn't that busy," Soul said, watching the monsters run by. "Even so, we should leave as soon as we can. The sooner we cross the Thunderpath with this many monsters, the sooner we may find somewhere to rest in Twolegplace." Storm responded, turning around to walk back to the group with the black tom. "Not looking forward to that again." "Same here, but we did have help last time," Soul agreed.

Icepetal roused shortly afterwards and she took the incentive to gently wake the other two drowsy felines. Burningsky was grumpy about being woke up, but no one paid her much mind, and Mintpaw still seemed pretty beat. She perked up quickly after she ate and pumped herself up to keep adventuring, though. Dawnscar looked over at the other cats and asked, "Where will we be headed today? Anything we should know?"

"We're crossing the Thunderpath nearby, and going into the Twolegplace. It's not the best thing, but going around it would take days," Storm said as he returned, watching Soul go over to Oddkit to help feed her. "The most trouble we've had is dogs and loners. Granted we had help getting through back then, but I wouldn't be surprised if that help is dead," Hawk continued. He rolled his shoulders before taking care of the remains of eaten prey. "It would be surprising, but hopefully, the Twolegplace hasn't changed." Sun flicked her ear when Hawk replied with: "Yeah right!" Soul stifled a yawn, "We should cross the Thunderpath as soon as we can. There isn't as many monsters at this time, but we should go before more come through."

Dawnscar nodded. "Twolegplace? I see." He looked at the other four and said, "Be on your guards." He seemed to be looking particularly at Burningsky and the apprentices. "And your best behaviour." Burningsky snorted at him, but didn't seem intent on complaining. Icepetal piped up, "When shall we cross, then? This will be a first for most of us, I think. Are the monsters all as big and scary as they say?"
