Only when she started to leave did Vodus eye her, watching her, scrutinizing her as she rose. "Farewell," he murmured, once again making sure his hood shadowed his eyes.

He watched, then edged behind a tree. He closed his eyes, removed his hood, then his form shifted into the one he'd taken the day before. Placing the eye patch over his left eye, he swished his tail, which was now long-furred and orange, and walked off in the direction Scarlet had travelled.

She climbed the tree she climbed earlier, wondering what other felines live here.

He watched her climb the tree. Putting on a smile, he called up, "Hey!" He tipped his head, sitting down below her. "We met yesterday, right? If I remember rightly, your name would be Scarlet."

Scarlet looked down, and smiled as well. "It is, and your name is Nequirus, right?" She climbed down the tree, sitting down in front of the ginger tom.

He chuckled. "That so? What's made it so interesting, if I may ask?" he inquired, putting on a curious look, even though he was already aware of what she was about to say. Or at least, fairly certain.

"Hm... There are a lot of interesting folk around here," 'Nequirus' mused, subconsciously rubbing at the eye patch that covered the one thing that could give away his identity. He lowered his paw again. "I haven't run into anyone new lately 'cept for you. Isn't a bad thing, I suppose. Better than meeting up with a group of hostile folk." He huffed, smiling faintly.
