I talk about my characters too much, so maybe this will appease me for a while. Please love them, they are in need. Thank you.
I have very unique. A kid who gets called a bird, a kid with bird wings, and a giant, drooling, glutton of an insect. Oh, and the god of colour, but we’ll get to that. Enjoy!
First we have a grumpy teenager named Elus. He’s not a pleasant guy to be around. His pale peachy-pink eyes seem to emit an aura of ‘get away from me’ wherever they point. His face screams ‘leave me alone before I hit you’. The way he moves makes it obvious he wants nothing to do with anyone in his vicinity. He’s a touch temperamental and known to be a bit violent, but in recent days he has toned back on the punches and tried his best to consider the world in a better light.
He was bullied throughout his entire school life for his attitude, his clothing style, and a funny golden tuft of hair on his head that makes him look like a bird. This triggered him to turn to violence, but after an unfortunate arrest and a taxing rehabilitation, he realized how much he hates to fight and prefers to avoid confrontation rather than acting out of frustration. Truth be told, he’s a sweet, easily-embarrassed kid - he just has trouble blending in. During his first week in a public school after his arrest, he made a friend out of a cute white-haired boy and with his help, he finally shed the heavy shell he’d been hiding in since his early childhood.
Konnik is a unique case in that he’s not human, nor feline, or canine, or even avian or reptilian.
He’s a big, fat,six-legged four-legged bug.
To be more specific, I designed him after a species from Skyrim called the Chaurus. They look like this.
His personality isn’t that hard to nail down. He cherishes food above all else. He will eat anything, and I mean anything. One time his home was being attacked by giant spiders, spiders even bigger than he was. His friends and family were being eaten. His home was being demolished by bloodthirsty arachnids. What did he do?
Ate the spiders.
He shrugged his shoulders, and he ate the spiders like nothing else mattered. Then, when the massacre was over, he left his half-destroyed home to fetch dinner for himself.
To add to the struggle, he speaks very little english. His mothertongue is nearly extinct and so he’s difficult to communicate with. Not to mention, he’s a little stupid to begin with.
He drools a sticky, rancid-smelling, slightly acidic venom, foams at the mouth, reeks of carrion, and has the blackest, dullest sense of humour known to man, but dammit, he’s fun to RP.
This lovely kid is incomplete but has a lot of potential. I don’t know a lot about him, but to sum things up, he’s an eighteen-year-old seraph / six winged angel what was forced to grow up too fast. I’m not entirely sure what his circumstances were for the RP he was in, but I think he was made to join the angelic army at a young age to repel an evil force of some sort, and is looked upon like some kind of symbol of hope due to his array of six beautiful, icy blue wings. Seraphs are stupid rare and so he was looked upon as a blessing straight from the sun.
He really just wanted to grow up as a normal kid and do normal kid things, but duty called, and he was forced to grow up at a young age. Due to his helpless childishness, he can be innocent, and thus seems a bit dumb sometimes despite his intelligence. He often acts detached from the world and can goof around without realizing it, too. Even despite this, the calm wisdom makes him a respected warrior.
I saved the longest one for last. Please, don’t feel pressured to read all of it, I started rambling at one point and couldn’t be bothered to delete the unnecessary bits.
Iro is a character I’m very fond of. I’ve written many a short story about him and his companions and love him more every time I write.
His most prominent feature is the fact that he’s a god. The god of colour, to be exact, as if his multi-coloured eyes didn’t give it away. He’s actually very loosely based off of another character of mine, one named Nytcord, who was the demonic manifestation of colour and a master of illusions.
I created him as an OC for one of my favourite shows, Noragami, a while back. In Noragami, gods are accompanied by spirits known as Regalias, which can transform into weapons to assist them in battle. Iro currently has three of said spirits at his side, named Nijiko, Midoriko, and Shiroko, though I plan to give him another one soon. He lives with his three beloved servants in a temple deep within a flourishing woods. There, he lives off the land and basks in nature’s beauty. He lives a slow, calm life, and enjoys it to the fullest.
A sad thing about him, though, is that despite being the god who filled the land with colour, he is scarcely able to see the results, for he is blind. Upon being granted with his powers, he was overwhelmed by them and his eyes took the brunt of the shock as the universe was suddenly gifted with light and colour. However, he has a sort of sixth sense that allows him to detect light and colour around him, though it’s quite useless for navigating.
This has given him trouble over the years. When he was a young god and had no Regalias to protect him, he often got lost in the forest he called home. One time in particular he got caught in a thorn bush and was unable to free himself.
Luck would have it that a lost spirit was wandering nearby. Iro noticed this spirit and desperately called out to it before giving it a name, and thus claiming it as his Regalia. The spirit took human form once again and freed Iro from his bind.
The name he gave that spirit was Nijiko (based off of Nytcord’s Prismatic Scythe), after the brilliant rainbow that had painted the sky with its vibrant hues.
The two were inseparable from that point on, and know each other better than they know even themselves.
And with Iro’s personality, he is lucky to have a friend. He’s quite weak emotionally and is prone to depression and anxiety, especially thanks to his strong sense of empathy towards other beings. He once had a boy seek refuge at his shrine after his mother was killed, and after hearing the boy’s story he had a major mental breakdown and was nearly inconsolable. Nijiko managed to pull him out of it, though, and they worked together to help the boy through the issue and helped him find a new home.
He’s too kind for his own good, very patient, and loves nothing more than he loves his Regalias and the many lifeforms which he watches over as a god.
And I love him.
Well, that’s all. What’d you think? Don’t worry, you don’t have to tell me, I know my characters are the best~
(Just kidding <3)
