Rabbitstar was hunting, he was stalking a rabbit. When he was close, he dashed, but the rabbit started running. "Fox-dung!" he spat, as he started chasing the rabbit. He soon caught up to it and was able to catch the rabbit. He sat up with the rabbit at his paws, "You almost got away fur-ball." he meowed. He picked it up and went back to camp

Hawkpaw had been chasing the same rabbit. She skidded when her leader caught the rabbit and started walking back to camp. Not realizing who it was, she stubbornly called "Hey, that was my rabbit!"

Rabbitstar turned around to see Hawkpaw. "Excuse me?" he meowed, putting down the rabbit

Hawkpaw held in a surprised yelp. "Oh! Sorry Rabbitstar." She mewed. She bowed her head in shame and embarrassment.

Rabbitstar chuckled, "Its alright, I didn't know you were hunting the same rabbit I was." he was always soft with apprentices in his clan, but he was serious to his warriors and other clan cats

Hawkpaw looked up, her enthusiasm had returned. "I'll go catch another one! Or maybe two!" She mewed happily. Then she trotted off.

"Good luck!" he meowed, walking back to camp. Rabbitstar put the rabbit on the pile and began talking to the warriors

After a while, Hawkpaw came back with two rabbits. She was having a hard time dragging them back.

Rabbitstar smelled rabbit, put the conversation on hold, and found Hawkpaw outside of camp with two rabbits. He looked at her with his good eye, "Need a paw?" he asked, "Looks like your having trouble."

"Yes please." Hawkpaw sighed, dropping a rabbit. She looked exhausted and was panting. "Why do rabbits have to be so big?" The young apprentice asked Rabbitstar.

"At least your not carrying me." Rabbitstar joked. "Big rabbits means that the prey is good this year." he picked up the one Hawkpaw dropped.

Hawkpaw padded slowly into camp, dragged her rabbit to the fresh-kill pile, dropped it, and plopped onto the ground. "Phew! That was hard." She sighed.

Rabbitstar put the other rabbit on the pile. "You did really good today, Hawkpaw."

"You might as well get something to eat and rest, and prepare for tomorrow." Rabbitstar meowed, he went back to his warriors and continued the conversation.

Rabbitstar pinned his ears and hissed, "What do you mean there's trouble on the outskirts of our territory?" he asked quietly. "I mean, there's been a lot of unknown activity. Me and some of us have found prey bones and scents of cats." his senior warrior replied. Rabbitstar thought for a moment, "Grrr, I hate rogues and loners. I'm going to see for myself, alone." he said, he nodded to the deputy, knowing he'll take care of the clan until he was back. Rabbitstar exited camp and started heading to the outskirts of the territory (the part of his territory that doesn't border with another clan.)

(While Rabbitstar is there? Or no? Anyway, I agree. It would be payback from the Rogues)
Rabbitstar arrived at the border to see rabbit bones scattered and tufts of fur. He saw the rogues and attacked the nearest one. The rogues jumped as Rabbitstar had one of their own under his paws. The cat Rabbitstar had pinned was a dirty, brown and black tom. "Get off of my territory!" Rabbitstar snarled, slashing the tom's shoulder. The tom yowled in pain, "Rocky!" he yowled. A cat stepped forward, a dark grey and brown one, Rocky. "Quiet Bracken!" Rocky meowed, he looked at Rabbitstar, "So, you must be the leader of your, so called, clan." Rabbitstar nodded, "You bet, now go!" "Oh we will. We will. Now let Bracken go." Rabbitstar let Bracken go, before slashing his flank. The rogues disappeared among the bushes. Rabbitstar left the border.

"Are we going back Rocky?" Bracken asked. Rocky nodded, "You bet, the prey was plentiful there. We'll repay that, so called, leader by killing one of his own." The rogues nodded, turned around, and hid among the bushes in Windclan territory. (Hawkpaw wont be killed)
