Jay was up, going back and forth. "I swear, my patients are going to kill me." she muttered. Her fur was fluffed up and she was sleep deprived once again.

Obscure lifted his head. When he found himself outside he got confused, then remembered he had fallen asleep admiring the evening sky. He sat up and looked around.

Jay then remembered this morning as she was taking a drink. "I didnt even know I got that close to him when I slept. Weird." she muttered and collapsed , her legs shaking from running every minute.

Obscure walked off in search if food. He swiped his tongue around his muzzle when his strong nose caught the scent of robin.

Jay rolled and soon felt water by her. She woke up to see her tail in the water. "Come on..." she muttered. She stood up and walked back to her den. She hadn't eaten yet, but at the moment she rather sleep than eat.

Obscure spotted the bird in a tree not too far away. It was in a high branch though. He looked around for a way he could get to it.

Jay made it to her den and flopped down in her nest. She quickly fell asleep.

Obscure leaped and grabbed the lowest branch on the nearest tree. He carefully made his way upward and towards the bird.

When Obscure got close enough he leaped for the bird. He grasped it in his paws and snapped its neck. But he couldn't get his hind legs on the branch in time and fell from the tree. He dropped the bird and scrabbled for something to grab, wishing he could yowl.

Jay heard claws and tree bark. She flicked her ear and knew it sounded panicky. She ran to where the sound was and saw Obscure. She leaped up on a branch above him and grabbed him. Her claws sank into the bark as she pulled him up. "I haven't eaten in all day, so start using your claws too before both of us fall." she said, muffled by his fur.

Obscure latched on to a branch as tight as he could. His fur was puffed out and his eyes were huge.
