"I guess I'll go." Lexin said, stepping forward. The falcon looked at him, and let out a silent caw. He attempted the spell, and nothing happened. He tried again to no avail.

He gave it one more go, concentrating. For a brief moment the falcon cawed, then fell back into silence. "Almost!" Jasmine praised.

Aziza shrugged, "We aren't giving up. We just don't get the hang of it easily like you. I'm an outsider, Gupta's a isn't from here, and I don't know about him." She gestured to Lexin. "We're all different. And we learn by our own speeds and time."

"I know you aren't givin' up for good you know." Jasmine responded. For a second the falcon's chest glowed and it tapped Jasmine's cheek. She flinched and looked at it, then nodded once and looked away.
As though nothing happened, she continued, "What do you guys want to try next? Gupta, you must have some ideas."

Gupta jumped then closed his eyes. "How to read hieroglyphics? I know how to read most of them, and it should make things easier if we could read them.' He said
