Dew nodded, "Of course. Warriors can carry as much prey as they can, and they aren't affected by the weight." She thought for a moment before adding, "It's better carrying prey than carrying another wounded warrior." As she looked up, she could see the stars through the trees. "I think you're going to learn about a lot of things, and befriend a few others from other clans. I just know it."
(I have something planned that involves all of your characters meeting one another, and it involves them meeting in a dream at Starclan.)

(Cool ) Mintpaw grinned. "Well then I'm going to carry all this prey back no problem! I'm gonna be the best warrior the clan has seen in years!" She gathered up the collection of food items and then nodded to Dew, a movement that was awkward under the weight of her load. "See you!" she said in farewell, voice garbled and muffled by the prey she held in her teeth. Then she started trekking off.

Dew waved her tail and went back to the others, meeting them back at the meeting place. After a few more moments, the five departed and went back to their home clan's territory.
"I'll make sure they know when they're all asleep," a Starclan cat said. Around her, were three more felines. "We can't make the same mistake like last time, right Ebonystar?" "We won't be stopped, from them..." A white tom replied. The passed leader looked at another she-cat, her pelt was brown. "If anything goes wrong, I'll lead them on the right path. Ashpaw will have to be their messenger." "Of course, Briarthorn. Now I shall take my leave. See you all at dawn."

The soft breathing of sleeping clanmates was the only noise apart from the wind, but not all of them were asleep in their minds.
Icepetal lifted her head, gazing around through amber eyes. She blinked in surprise when she realized that the landscape was painted in a starry pattern, and that she certainly wasn't in her nest any longer. She rose to her paws, looking around at her surroundings for any signs of another cat.
An apprentice was the next to awaken. Mintpaw stretched her paws out in front of her, emitting a loud yawn as she was roused. Then she opened her eyes and hissed in surprise. "S-Starclan!" she spat, jumping to her feet. She looked around, awed by the beauty of the scenery. "Whoa, this is cool!" Then she flinched and a look of fear crossed her face. "I-I'm not dead, am I? Or in trouble?"
And finally, Dawnscar arose, disturbed by the feeling of wind in his fur. His muscles moved under his dark pelt and he looked around, quickly recognizing where he was, though not at all why he was there. He decided to patiently for the meaning behind this surprise visit to the stars to be revealed.
Meanwhile, a warrior and an apprentice slept soundly.

A tortoiseshell walked up to Icepetal, her pelt flecked with stars. "Greetings Icepetal, we've been waiting for you," the she-cat dipped her head. "I am called Seedheart. Please, follow me. You have more cats waiting for you. If you have any questions, they'll be answered once we're all together." Seedheart smiled brightly as she flicked her tail, awaiting the warrior to join her.
A meow of amusement left a dark ginger tabby, the stars in his pelt seemed to dance as he moved. "You are not in trouble Mintpaw, nor dead. I am Rustfur, and you have path you must travel, one where others will travel with you. Come along now, we mustn't keep them waiting." The tom walked forward a few tail lengths before stopping, waiting for the apprentice to join him.
"Greetings Dawnscar, sorry for the sudden visit," a white tom said, the stars shining a bright light. "I'm Ebonystar, a past leader of Ashclan. Please follow me, you're not the only cat that is about to hear what we have to tell you." Ebonystar waited for the warrior, eager to join the others. He hoped the others were having an easy job getting the other clan cats.
"Burningsky, wake up," a brown, starry paw prodded the she-cat. The Starclan cat gave a sigh as she patiently waited, prodding the warrior every few moments.
A grey she-cat bounded up to where Hollowpaw slept, nudging him gently. "Wake up Hollowpaw, your path has yet to be walked upon."

Icepetal looked at Seedheart and nodded her head in understanding. "Of course, I'll hold my questions, then," she said, though she did wonder who else she would be meeting with, and why. This was a rather unusual occurrence. She followed after the other female without saying anything else, as she knew she'd have the chance to say the things that needed to be said later on.
Mintpaw gasped when she saw Rustfur, temporarily mesmerized by the beautiful stars dusted upon his ginger pelt. "Ah! Oh, pff, of course I'm not, it's not like I ever did anything bad, hehe..." She averted her green eyes, scratching an itch on her ear. Then she hopped up to her feet to pad after him, seeming eager. Her tail was high and her steps were light and bouncy. "I've gotta travel? Where? It's not far, is it? I can't miss too much training!"
"Oh, that's fine, I wasn't sleeping too well anyway." Dawnscar's lips curled in a laid-back smile. He didn't often show his relaxed side. "Ebonystar? What does an Ashclan leader want with this old Cedarclanner?" he joked, ears flicking. "More cats waiting, huh? This sounds important. I guess you won't tell me what's going on until we meet with the others, though, right?" He stood up and joined the ethereal leader, gesturing for him to take the lead.
"Mmrrr, buzz off you putrid furball, I'm trying to sleep," Burningsky grumbled, irritated. But when the poking didn't stop, she opened her eyes and waved her fluffy paw around, trying to strike whoever was bugging her on the nose with her soft pads. Seeing that the cat before her was covered in stars, though, she jumped to her paws. "Whoa. Well jeez, starry-eyes, you didn't need to be that annoying, did you?" she asked, tail tip twitching.
Hollowpaw roused when he was nudged, his blue-green eyes opening slowly. He sat up, yawning. Then he looked at the cat who woke him, and flinched, not expecting such a shiny visitor. "Oh! Hello there." He dipped his head in respect to the ghostly feline. "Could I ask why I'm here? Is there a problem?"

Seedheart had continued walking until she stopped by a small pool, looking at the glowing waters before sitting down. "It seems we are the first ones to arrive. Please, make yourself comfortable Icepetal."
Rustfur couldn't help but smile as he lead the apprentice. "Everything will be answered when everyone is together. Also, if you were bad, you would be in the Dark Forest." He glanced at her before looking forward again, seeing a familiar pelt nearby the pool. "I see you had no trouble, Seedheart," he nodded to his sibling before looking back at Mintpaw. "Make yourself comfortable by the pool, and ask any questions that you have about Starclan." Rustfur sat beside the pool, gazing into the waters before looking back at the apprentice.
"Correct Dawnscar, the path that is laid before you will be shown to you and the others soon." It had been a long while since the dead leader had talked to any living clan cat, and it had been nice to talk to the living for once. "I will warn you, there will be two apprentices. One is a bit... rambunctious. A friend of mine will be holding her attention for the meantime." He waved his tail in greeting as he spotted Seedheart and Rustfur, noticing two more clan cats had yet to be brought to the pool. "Make yourself comfortable Dawnscar. I feel like the other two are going to take some time to get here."
The brown she-cat frowned, her ear twitching in annoyance. "Mhm, says the Ashclan cat that annoys her own clan. And I thought the clan I once lived in would hold better cats, seems I was wrong." She sat down, knowing this was going to take some time. "It's not common a warrior like you would appear in Starclan in a dream, and for one to tear my patience that easily." She kept her gaze on the warrior, and not moving an inch from her spot.
"Everything will be explained shortly, you aren't the only cat here tonight," she dipped her head in return. "My name is Ashpaw, and you're Hollowpaw, an apprentice from Oakclan." Ashpaw glanced to the side, noticing a familiar silver pelt dart through the trees.

Icepetal looked around at the quiet scene, sitting by the water. "Hm, seems so." She looked over as some other cats began to arrive.
Mintpaw bounced over to the pool. "Okie!" She looked at Icepetal, sizing her up. "Are you a Starclan cat too?" she asked, head titled. Icepetal chuckled. "Not at all, young one. I'm Icepetal, I come from Birchclan. Nice to meet you." "Ohh! I'm Mintpaw! Hello!" She smiled, then she looked over at Rustfur. "So, is every dead cat ever here? Or only some of them?" She had always wanted to know more about Starclan.
Dawnscar sighed, laughing a little. "Rambunctious apprentices? What else is new?" he asked. "I guess I'll have to give them a taste of the way I teach my apprentices. That should whip them right into shape." He sat down by the pool, close to where they had entered the area. He nodded in greeting to the other two living cats.
Burningsky's discoloured eyes rolled. "Hey, I need to get my entertainment somehow. Besides, they all deserve it. I've gotta be here for some reason, anyway, because I believe you when you say someone like me wouldn't get called around here often. So why am I here?"
Hollowpaw watched Ashpaw, nodding. "Yes. You're right. Nice to meet you, Ashpaw." He gazed off to the side, looking at the treetops. "So I'm not the only one? Where are the others?"

Seedheart chuckled at Rustfur, watching as he answered the apprentice's questions.
"The good hearted cats come to Starclan, where they hunt, relax, do as they please really. Some are reincarnated, having a chance to live again as a new cat," Rustfur explained. "If you would like to see how Starclan sees the clans, look into the pool."
Ebonystar had nuzzled Seedheart before sitting next to her. Watching the apprentice made him remember his time as one, how large the territory had been and the new duties that had been introduced. He shook the memories away as he looked around for the others.
"You will be told why once we meet with the others, come along now Burningsky." The brown she-cat sighed happily has a silver she-cat walked up. "Thank you Silversoul, really," the she-cat stood up. Silversoul gave a gently smile, her markings flecked with stars that glowed brightly. "You're worried, Briarthorn, now let's get to the others." Silversoul walked off with Briarthorn beside her.
"They're by the viewing pool, the one Starclan uses to see the clans and other places below. Follow me." Ashpaw took a few steps before waiting for Hollowpaw to join her side. "Just a heads up, you aren't the only apprentice here."

Mintpaw crept over to the pool and peered inside. "Oh wow! I see it, that's my camp!" she exclaimed, her fur standing up in excitement, turning her into a fluffy silver ball. Icepetal, who had always been fond of young cats, sat beside her. "You have a lovely looking home. What are your clanmates like?" The two of them engaged in conversation, while Dawnscar watched from a few paces away, snorting.
Burningsky puffed and followed along behind them.
Hollowpaw followed her, looking at the sparkling sky. "Hm, I'm not sure if that's good or bad," he admitted, wondering what the other apprentice would be like.

"Depends if you like apprentices that blame others for their mistakes. Like thorns in an elder's nest," Ashpaw snickered, remembering the line since she had listened to the Five and Mintpaw last night. She picked up her pace as she spotted three she-cats, only two of them with starry pelts. "Silversoul, Briarthorn! I didn't expect to see you trailing behind with the Ashclan warrior." Briarthorn muttered something under her breath, "I'll tell you all about what happened after. Now let's join the others."
Ebonystar turned to see the arriving cats. "All of us are here, it's time that all of you knew what you're here for.

"Thorns in the elders' nests?" Hollowpaw repeated, shaking his head. Why did cats his age find it so fun to pull pranks like that? He thought it was a little silly. Perhaps that was the point. He watched when Ashpaw caught up to two other Starclan cats and what looked to be a living cat, but he was distracted from them when they arrived at the pool, which was surrounded by a group of other cats both living and dead. Hollowpaw took a seat, briefly acknowledging Burningsky when she sat next to him. They all looked over at Ebonystar. Mintpaw stopped chatting with Icepetal and sat tall, ears perked, looking attentive. Burningsky muttered something under her breath but was otherwise silent.

Ebonystar watched as the other Starclan cats settled, watching him as he continued. "You five have been chosen to travel away from the clans, in order to stop the storm that has risen again. This same storm has appeared many moons ago, before any of you, and your parents were born. Five cats from each of the clans were chosen back then as well, going on the journey and fighting it off. You know the five well, and the truth has been hidden from the clans during the journey those five took. You have all were told the stories, either as a kit or an apprentice. The Forgotten Five, a tale that many believe is a lesson, and nothing more."
The white, starry tom turned to Hollowpaw. "You made contact with Hawk, known as Hawktalon back then, when he killed an exiled Oakclanner. Then Sun, who used to be called Sunheart, intervened. You knew about their meeting, which happened to be last night, but chose not to go. Unlike another apprentice..." With those words, he turned to Mintpaw.
"Mintpaw, you found Dew, used to be known as Dewmist, bringing a lost kit back to your clan. When Storm, Stormeye back then, came up to tell her about the meeting. If you would please, Mintpaw, tell the rest of us what you heard that night."

Hollowpaw looking over at Mintpaw with a surprised look on his face as she stepped forward, laughing awkwardly. "Heheh, I didn't mean to eavesdrop, really," she mewed, shuffling her paws. "But uh, since you asked, I'll tell what I heard." She thought back. "Erm, they all talked about what they'd been up to, and then they told be that they're really super old! And then... Oh! They all have funny nicknames." She snickered. "And um, they all do stuff. Like kill things. And there's that one cat who sings or something. And that black-furred one? He's weird! Ohh, and they said that they were gonna come to the next gathering!" Her explanation of the events that night were less than satisfactory, but she didn't care to remember all the details, so she just spewed out what she remembered as she remembered it.
Dawnscar released a soft growl. "A good warrior is one who can relay important information to their clanmates in times of need. I ought to claw your ear for failing to do that." Mintpaw squealed when the large, scary tom spoke and hid behind Icepetal, who licked her ears comfortingly.

Ashpaw stepped forward, "The information she said may have been strewn about, but she did talk about the Gathering. The Gathering itself is in two days time, and more information can be given to you all then and there." She turned to Mintpaw with a questioning look, "Is my brother really that weird? I mean, he's a good cat, but how weird is he?"

"Mm? Who's your brother?" Mintpaw asked somewhat stupidly, not sure who Ashpaw was talking about. "Oh, is he the one with the black fur I was talking about? Yeah yeah, he is pretty weird! Wait, he's your brother?" Her mouth fell open, surprised. "Whoa! You must be super old too, then! Hehe, you look young, but I bet you're even older than the oldest elder I know!" Dawnscar stayed quiet under a stern glare from Icepetal, but didn't look too pleased. Burningsky was hardly paying attention, meanwhile Hollowpaw was the opposite, drinking in every word.

"I'm dead, mainly," Ashpaw responded calmly. "And didn't Storm tell you he lost so much? Our parents went missing when we were kits, I died as an apprentice, and Briarthorn was pushed into the gorge." "Don't remind me of that. Thawpelt had what was coming for him. In life and in afterlife," Briarthorn responded.
Rustfur stood up, "If any of you have questions about all of this, please ask."

Dawnscar looked over at Rustfur. "Yes, I have a question. What exactly to you expect us to do?" So far they hadn't been given a clear objective. Only some jabbering from an apprentice and the fact that they were supposed to be leaving the clans. "Will we receive further instructions later, or is this it?" He curled his tail around his legs, calmly awaiting his reply. Mintpaw rambled on further, but everyone else shifted their attention to the Starclanners.

"You will receive further instructions at the Gathering," Rustfur answered. "The first Five will be there, in a tree at the bank of the Gathering Island. When you find one of them, just explain that we've sent you. They know more about the threat than we do, since Starclan does not travel through the skies they walked under before."
"As usual, once all the clans had gathered on the island, there will be time for the clan cats to socialize with each other. The five of you will separate from your clan-mates and join each other at the tree. The tree itself is by three large boulders, so it should be easy to find. If everything goes well, then the first Five will be your guides to where you need to go. On what day or night you all depart, I do not know." Ashpaw took over to explain, knowing the most out of the Starclan cats here.

Dawnscar nodded. "Alright, I guess we're just waiting for the Gathering, then." He didn't say it out loud, but he was quite interested in meeting the Five, and by the looks of it, the others were too. Even Burningsky was paying attention now, though perhaps that was only because Hollowpaw had worked up the nerve to give her a nudge. Icepetal spoke up next. "Will we have to tell our clans about our departure? What should we say to them?"
