The feathered raptors hissed, becoming silent when Quetzal hurried out of his den. "What do you want with me? Can't you see we're busy!?" "Busy with grooming your 'oh so pretty' feathers!" Santolin snapped, walking into the base and making Quetzal hiss.

Aekan sighed. "I didn't waltz my way through Starved territory to put up with you and your grumbling when I got back, okay? So shut your beak and listen up, we have news." Tarka crept inside and nudged Aekan, warning him to tone it down.

Santolin walked towards Quetzal, pushing him towards his den. "Do you want to know what they're planning or not? Get in your den!" The feathered raptor growled before agreeing, the two disappeared into the den.

Aekan sighed and looked over at Tarka, who was shivering in her hide out of fear of the feathered raptors. He stood close to her in a defensive manner to help her feel safer.

Santolin walked out of the den, walking back towards the other two. "The deal has been made. Let's go back to your base."

Aekan nodded and Tarka leaped out of the base without a second thought, eager to get away from the hostile raptors and back into friendly territory.

He sighed happily when they left the base, but he could still feel hostile eyes on him. "They sure get their feathers ruffled easily," he mumbled.

Aekan nodded. "They certainly do, don't they? Let's get back home fast." He picked up the pace, and Tarka followed.

He nodded, picking up his pace as well as he followed.

Aekan and Tarka both looked visibly relieved once they set foot back on their home territory. Tarka's quivering subsided and her steps became more even. Aekan looked around, sighing. "Can't wait to be home..."

Santolin stayed quiet as they walked back to the base, thinking about the upcoming events.

The base came into view and the two raptors slipped through the entrance. Tarka waited for Santolin, intent on making sure his wounds hadn't reopened and that he was in good health before she checked in with the other healer.

He walked into the base with a sigh, glancing over at Viridian as she talked with the young raptors. "I'll have to talk to her later," Santolin murmured.

Seeing that Santolin looked to be okay, she nodded to herself and then dashed to the healer's den. Aekan eagerly got himself some food before doing anything else.

He sat down in the corner of the base, watching the rest of the pack. When he watched Viridian head to her den, he stood up and followed. Viridian looked at him, sighing before letting him into her den once more.

Tarka was ahppy to see the den was still in relatively good condition. She cleaned up the bit of mess she found here and there and then ensured they were all stocked up. Aekan finished his meal and rolled onto his back, wondering what to do.

Santolin left the den moments later, heading out of the base and into the forest. His pace grew faster as his walk turned into a jog. Getting home before nightfall would be tricky, but he was sure he'd make it. "Saying goodbye would have wasted time, I need to be back before the sun is gone," he murmured to himself, wincing again when he entered the large field. Bypassing the large animals made his stomach growl, but he continued forward.

Aekan saw Santolin leaved, and wondered where he was off to. Back to Starved territory, perhaps? "He doesn't even bother saying anything to us," the grey raptor muttered, sitting up again. He glanced at the healer's den. Santolin was quite lucky Tarka hadn't been around to see him leave, he thought.

He entered the Starved territory, getting back to the cave to tell Avana his news. "They agreed, surprising for feather brain, but they agreed," Santolin reported, watching Avana smile happily. "Good. It's time for everyone to gather then. We should be stationed around the field before nightfall. You stay here and protect the cave with the healers." He nodded at her order, leaving the old den with her.
"The deed has been agreed to. Now, let us rid these raptors we called family. Let us rid them, and start anew!" Avana called, leaving with her Beta and the remaining Mothers and In-Training raptors.

Tarka, content with her medicine stocks, sat down to take a break and ease her nerves a little. The past short while had been so eventful.
