"A-Are they alright?" He asked, looking around to see everything was blurry. So Santolin closed his eyes and swallowed, knowing that he couldn't move even if he wanted to.

"Are who alright?" Tarka asked, looking through the assorted plants for anything that might to useful for easing pain.

"E-erm... Tarka and Aekan. They left in a hurry and I'm worried. N-not as much for Aekan though, he can take care of himself." He sneezed and curled up, as best as he could.

Tarka blinked, turning her head to look at him. "I'm Tarka, and I'm perfectly fine. Aekan is okay as well. There's nothing at all to worry about." She took an assortment of flower petals and leaves, nodding contently. "Take this, it should make the pain fade after a few minutes." She bent over and held it near his maw, waiting for him to take it.

Santolin didn't take it, turning his head away. "Prove i-it. I've been t-through enough to know tricks and f-fakes. Where's the r-real Tarka?" he coughed and wheezed as he spoke.

Tarka sighed. "Perhaps something to clear your head would be better? I'm not sure how to prove it to you, Santolin." Then an idea struck her. "Oh, I know. I named you, so of course I know what I named you after: The Santolina flowers of a cotton lavender plant. Is that proof enough?" She set the herb assortment down and went searching for a different set of medicine.

"Y-you could have gotten t-that info from overhearing," Santolin coughed. "Stop t-trying to be her, y-you aren't her. No o-one else can be her, she's u-unique."

"The only person who could have heard that is Aekan, and I am not him, because I am Tarka. Will you try eating this? I really do think you should." She was frowning, unsure how to deal with such an odd situation. Delirium was one thing, and refusing medicine was another, but put together they proved utmost unpleasant.

He refused once more, erupting into a small coughing fit. "One o-sf you Starved attacked m=se in my own home, a-another o-one of you could have b-been in there to eavesdrop. I don't b-believe your lies," he rasped. Santolin's mind was filled with the events that he would remember, which was meeting with the Starved as they intercepted him on his way here. Pain, claws, blood, and much more had filled his vision during that short moment. He believed he was still amongst them, being taunted and trying to pry information out of him.

Tarka sighed. "I'll knock you unconscious if you don't do it. I put a lot of energy into fixing you up so fast, you know, and that will be all for nothing if you tear your bandages." She had never knocked a raptor out to force them to take medicine, but her mentor had, she recalled, calling it every scenario's Plan D. "I really don't know what else to say to you, Santolin."

He rolled over with a grunt, his back to Tarka as he said nothing more, going unconscious once more as he used the very little strength he had. He continued to wheeze as he slept, as well as twitch and squirm at some points.

Seeing that Santolin was asleep, she took the opportunity and gave him the medicine she had prepared. Then she left the den again to go find Avana.

Avana was gazing at the small puddle in her den, watching as water dripped into it. Her gaze was clouded as she thought.

Tarka walked into the den. "Excuse me, Avana. I'd like to report on Santolin's condition," she said, slowly approaching the raptor.

Avana blinked a couple of times before looking up. "His condition? How is he?" she sat up, her full attention on the healer.

"He was awake for a few minutes, but he was delirious. He didn't recognize me, and kept calling me a Starved or some kind of imposter. He fell asleep after a while of arguing, and I think he should be more sensible when he wakes up again."

"The Starved must have tortured him enough to where he came here blindly and fell unconscious upon entering. Nothing seemed to crack Santolin, until now that is." She thought for a moment before looking back up. "Thank you again Tarka. Is there anything else that he said that I should know of?"

Tarka thought back and shook her head. "No. Nothing really. Just a bunch of nonsense jabbering about how I'm not Tarka."

Avana looked unsure, standing up and looking at her. "Did he just jabber on about you not being you? It seemed that he was worried about you, even in a delusional state."

"Yes. Perhaps he was," Tarka agreed, shifting in place. "I don't know why he'd fret so much, though. It isn't as though we know each other very well, anyway." She looked down at her feet, seeming slightly confused. "Though, perhaps I was worrying too. But I think everyone was. Even Aekan was anxious, even if he didn't show it."
