His claws tapped against the bottom of the pool, talking with the other dragons was nice, since all of them didn't know him. They were kind, and the subjects they talked about made him laugh. One of them was a brown and red dragon, he lived by some volcanoes and was known as a gardener. Another was an emerald, she was from the warm forests. The last was a dark grey, she was up visiting from farther up north.

Mint listened to the other beings' conversations. He noticed that none of them were in a humanoid form like himself, so he shifted into his equine form, and watched as his long, finned tail revealed itself before him. He watched the way the light reflected off of his pink fins, finding enjoyment in the way they seemed to glow. The warm water felt especially nice on the scales of his tail, though the water didn't do his already thoroughly tangled mane any justices. He gazed down at his hooves and thought about how much more practical his human form was.

Another person walked into a spring, letting the water run off their scales as they shifted to their true form. The multiple heads made L and the dragons quiet down, surprised to see a Hydra here. "How have you been?" L asked. "It's been fine," One head said. "Which the lakes didn't freeze though," Another head said. "But, the taste of caribou is still allowed on our diet," A third head licked his maw at the thought.

May remembered what L said about a cafeteria and decided to go there and see if she could snatch a snack. Mint rested his head on the ground and closed his eyes, listening to the conversations that were buzzing around him. A lot of it was small talk, but he found interest in it anyway.

"Are you finally on break? Or are you start having fur go into the food?" A Chimera asked, looking over the counter at a Werewolf. "I'm done, besides, that demon is on shift tonight," It replied, setting down an apron and walking out from behind. "I know this is my job and all, but night shifts suck." The Chimera snorted, "Which one? Is it the blue one or the toxic one?" "Toxic one. The blue one isn't reliable at all, most of the time anyway."
L continued the conversation with the Hyrda and the other dragons, their stories proved to be interesting as he listened.

May entered the cafeteria and looked around. She saw a Werewolf and a Chimera and hesitated, not sure how safe she felt conversing with other beings when L wasn't around. But, she reminded herself, it wasn't as though a human would be on chef duty in this world. She walked further into the room and grinned. "Heya," she called over, hoping to grab their attention.

The Chimera and Werewolf turned, their irritated expression changed into a calm. "Hi, welcome to the cafeteria. If you're here for somethin' to munch on, someone will be out in a moment," the Werewolf said, smiling slightly. "I'm J.K. Howling, but just call me Howl for short." "Just call me Damian," the Chimera shrugged.

A werewolf named J.K. Howling of all things; that was the first thing that May noticed, and it put an immediate glint in her eye and a smirk on her lips. She dared not comment, despite all the possible retorts she could have given. Her snarky comments would be left to broil. She could always unleash them upon someone she was more familiar with later. She smiled back at both of them and nodded. "Alrighty, I guess I'll just sit around and wait then. Oh, and I'm May. Nice meeting you." She took a random seat and plopped into it to wait until she could make her claim on the snacks.

Howl and Damian nodded, the werewolf taking a seat beside the chimera. "What kind of mythic are you? You don't look like you're from here," Damian asked, turning to his goat and snake heads. "If you were a dragon, you'd probably be in the springs downstairs, unless they're full." "I doubt it Howl."

May was thankful that the pair took a few moments to talk after the question has been asked because she needed to think. What possible response could she give? She didn't know much about mythical creatures, especially not humanoid ones or ones with human forms. An elf was the easy and obvious choice, but she didn't exactly resemble one physically. She knew that nymphs were born in human bodies, but her personality didn't exactly match with what was typically expected of nymphs. She was mouthy and devilish, while nymphs were known to be shy and gentle creatures. No, she was more like an imp than a nymph. Or perhaps, less like an imp and more like... A lightbulb flickered in her head and she easily responded, "No, not a dragon. I couldn't be that proud. Rather, I'm a Succubus." She leaned forward and placed her elbows upon the table, somewhat nervously awaiting their replies.

Howl coughed, surprised at the answer while Damian just smirked. "A Succubus? Those are rare nowadays," He grumbled, but turned as the door behind the counter opened. It was a woman who walked out, her eyes grey and her hair was dark and reddish. The two mythicals turned their attention to her. She wore a dark grey suit, spiked cuffs showed brightly around her arms and legs. The one thing that stood out was the black scarf around her neck. She turned to the two, snorting. "You two always seem to stay here. This ain't your home, so go catch a caribou. There's a herd of them north of her, so scoot." At this the two smiled happily and left the building. The woman laughed dryly. "Whatever gets them in a rush makes them leave. Thank heck for that."

May sniffed. "No surprises there, nothin' fun for us to do around here anymore," she replied, but she too was distracted as the door opened and a woman entered the room. She laughed a bit as the Chimera and the Werewolf left to attend more interesting business. Then she looked at the woman and tilted her head. "Hello. How are you this fine evening?" she asked politely. Couldn't go wrong with pleasantries. She was eager to get back to her room, though, so she hoped it wouldn't take long to get some food and get going.

"Peachy. How's Viney been?" She asked, going to the sink and washing some glasses. Her eyes were on May, but she looked back at the glasses after a moment. Grabbing a towel and drying a glass she had in her hands.

May blinked. "Viney?" She asked, head tilted. "He's good, but how'd ya knew I know him?" She flicked some of her hair out of her face, noticing for the umpteenth time how diluted the coloured tips were becoming.

"His mark. Whatever he makes, he puts his own special mark. You're also human, so he has an interest in your kind." She put away the glasses in the cupboards, putting the towel on a hook above her. "Names Luminair, I keep Viney in line whenever he goes crooked."

May's face went a little pale when the woman said the word 'human'. "Sometimes I feel like you guys know I'm human better than I do," she muttered. "Uh, I'm May. Nice to meet you, Luminair." She giggled a bit and asked, "So, does Viney go out of line often, then?"

"Enough to make a person with OCD crazy," she responded. She sat down on a stool, fixing the cuffs on her arms. "So, what are you here to have? Most food here is for mythics, but..." Luminair grabbed a menu, sliding it over to May. "Hopefully that's the right one.."

May was ever grateful to finally have the menu before her. "Thank you," she hummed, looking over its contents thoughtfully. She made a quick decision and spun it around, pointing to the item of her choice. "This, please." She just wanted to eat and get back to her room. She wondered if L or Mint would have returned by the time she got back.

Luminair looked at her questioningly, and slightly annoyed. "If you haven't noticed, I'm blind."

May looked at her in surprise. "Oh, really? Hah, my bad, didn't notice..." She laughed awkwardly. "Oh boy, I'm a great person today. Can't imagine what it's like working a job like this without eyesight, though, what's it like?" Only half-expecting a response, she looked down at the menu again with a sigh. "Man, I think I lost my appetite at some point, but no point in coming here if I don't leave with food in my belly. I'll get a chicken sandwich, please and thanks!" She yawned and sat back to await her request.
