L didn't question it, and finally spotted some movement down below. With a nod, he started his decent downwards. "We're going to spend the night at a village. Other dragons and mythics will be here, so behave yourself May. Some aren't as patient and can knock you out. Are you alright with this Mint?"

"Pfft, I always behave myself," May retorted. "And if I don't, I'm sure you'll be the first one knocking me out. Ain't that right, L?" She snorted. Then she leaned over to peer at the village below. "I get to see more mythics... This'll be interesting!" Mint's eyes flickered around. "Um," he mumbled, lowering his head. "It's been a long time since I've been in a village, but I'll be okay, yes. As long as they mind their space." He fiddled with his hair and explained, "My kind doesn't have a magnificent reputation among humans, but we're harmless to anything else, and so other beings don't typically have a problem with getting close."

"They don't bother visitors unless it's about business, or if someone causes trouble." He landed outside of the village, the ground beneath his claws cold with snow. L lowered himself to the ground, so May and Mint would get off his back easier.

"Okay, that's good," Mint hummed, feeling like he could relax. Once L landed, May jumped off first, then offered to help Mint down, but he politely declined and slid down on his own. He flinched a little at the feeling of snow crunching underneath him. Then the two of them gazed in the direction of the village, curious about it.

"The first thing I'm going to do is find an inn, the quicker we get shelter, the better." He let himself transform into his human form, stretching his arms as he picked up his bags. L started walking, the sound of crunching snow and talk from the village reminded him why he liked being alone sometimes.

May walked along beside him. "Ooh, an inn? I get to see more people, cool! Oh, I promise I won't make fun of anyone who looks weird, okay?" She made a motion like zippering her mouth shut and said, "My thoughts are mine alone. At least until we get into a private place." Mint looked at her a little oddly, but held back his comments.

"Keep that promise, because some aren't afraid to use their claws," L replied, looking at the buildings and the others that resided as he entered the village. Most where still made of wood, but there were some that were made of stone or concrete. He spotted a Griffin, laying next to a building, eating fish. It jumped when it heard a spark, but rolled its eyes and continued eating. "Seems they have their electricity, that'll make things a bit easier."

Mint smiled when he saw the griffin. "Such nice feathers. I wonder what I'd look like if I put a feathery decoration in my hair..." He touched up his dark hair as he thought about it, imagining a set of exotic plumes sticking out of his locks among the lilies. May regarded him with narrowed eyes. "He is a boy, right?" she asked L quietly, but Mint still heard and glared at her. "I am a boy!" he snapped, letting his hands fall to his sides. "You're carrying around weapons, and you aren't really dainty, but I never asked if you were really a girl." "It's not like I have a deep voice and muscles bulging out of my arms, either. You, though." She crept over to Mint and pointed at his hips. "Look at this feminine figure~!" Mint stared at her, mouth open, a furious expression on his face.

"May, shut your mouth before I do it myself, because everyone can hear the two of you easily. Even the griffin is having a laugh," L snapped, gesturing to the creature who was smiling at the two. The villagers decided to ignore them, but some were laughing quietly to themselves. A fairy flew up to him, and he smiled slightly. "Do you know where an inn is? We're passing by and decided to spend the night here." The little creature nodded, pointing to a large cabin. In return, L gave her a lotus, it's petals bright despite the weather. "Thank you, and enjoy the lotus." The fairy giggled, picking the gift up before flying away. He then walked off towards the cabin.

May strolled back over to L and spread her hands, an innocent look on her face. "I need to tease somebody, and teasing you got boring at some point. He's a lot more fun to pick on." Mint grumbled, his hands clenched into fists. "Why can't you just avoid picking on people entirely?" he asked, crossing his arms. His face was as pink as the flowers on his head, embarrassed as he was with all the taunting and teasing. "I can't believe you had to say all that stuff so loudly. I swear the entire village is giggling at us."

"They are." He opened the door without another word, the warmth surprising him as he entered. A Brownie sat behind the front desk, muttering to herself as it tapped the desk with a pencil. It looked up, spotted the three and turning it's head to the door it was by. "Hey, you awake scales?" It called, and a woman dressed in purple with gold lining came out. She prodded the brownie in annoyance. "I've been awake furball, and I can shock you if you keep annoying me." It turned to L, smiling like the conversation with her companion didn't happen. "Welcome, are you here to spend the night?" "Electric lizard, you dragons..." The Brownie muttered, going back to the puzzle it was on.

"That doesn't make me feel any better," the humiliated Kelpie muttered, but he let his embarrassment fade as they stepped into the inn. Both he and May took a look around, May taking a particular interest in the Brownie. "Never heard of a creature like that," she murmured. Meanwhile, Mint was studying the woman who appeared. "We must seem like an odd group to the common rabble. Myself, a dragon, and the incarnation of everything I hate." "So mean," May whined, yet her voice still held that playful lilt to it. "I'm sorry, okay? Let's set it aside for tonight." She looked at L. "Come on, then, get us a room, Dad." She stuck her tongue out and made a face at him.

The woman crossed her arms, smiling. L didn't bother to glare at her, but decided to have some fun of his own. "Don't mind the special kid, she just needs something to keep her attention on," He said, paying the inn keeper and writing down on a piece of paper. The Brownie looked up, its eyes glinting in amusement. It opened a draw, taking out a ball. "Will this help?" It asked, its grin growing wider when the woman laughed. L let out a chuckle of his own, receiving three room keys. "You three enjoy your night, breakfast is from five to nine." With a nod, L waved and lead the way to their rooms.

May pouted at L and let out a low whimper. "God, L, that was harsh," she complained, trying not to let her smile show through. "You know what, let's just get to our rooms, I'm sick of you." She planted the palms of her hands on his back and started pushing him onwards. Mint glanced at the innkeeper and the Brownie and sighed, as though silently saying, 'Do you see what I have to deal with?' Then he quickly rushed off to catch up with L and May.

He walked up a flight up stairs, stopping when he reached a hall with three doors. "May, you're in room 9, I'm in 10, and Mint, you're in 11. They all join by one door, so you don't have to go to the hall if you need anything from one another. Main floor is the main desk, as well as the cafeteria. Below that is a hot tub and hot springs for dragons and any other creature that can deal with sulfur. If there any questions about anything before I go?" L asked, passing out the room keys.

"Thank god we're separated," Mint muttered as he took his key. "I don't have anything I need. I want to go to the hot tub, so I'll be there if anyone needs me." He nodded and turned to walk away. May took her key, studying it. "Hm, no, that sounds good to me. I'll hunt you down if I want something, don't you worry."

"I'll be down in the springs in a few minutes, sulfur sounds good right about now," L unlocked his room and stepped inside, closing the door behind him and setting his stuff down. He looked up where he was, and found that he was in the right country, and was close to the border. "We'd have to get to the heart of this country, just a couple more days."

May walked to her room as well and flopped onto the bed. "Hm, what an adventure this is," she mumbled, wondering how she wished to entertain herself for the next while. Mint was on his was to the hot tub, wondering what it would be like. He imagined the warm water to be quite relaxing.

L wrote in his journal before making his way down to the springs. Seeing other dragons there in their own pools, he shifted back and slipped into an open one. For once, he enjoyed the warm waters on his scales. He could hear the other dragons talking to one another, and decided to join in.

Mint was startled by the heat of the waters at first but didn't take long to adjust. He stepped inside, keeping his distance from the other beings, and took a seat, submerging himself up to his chin. "This is good," he murmured to himself. He could already feel the heat working its magic. His muscles loosened and his worries seem to float away like steam. May was quite content to remain in her room. It was the perfect opportunity to reflect. She studied the gemstones, the keys to unveiling her weapons, and wondered if she'd get the chance to practice with them anytime soon.
