(Only now do I have an idea for what's murdering everyone XD I'm awful)
The trees grew dense here, blocking out the sun and casting heavy shadows. It wasn't possible to see farther than a few tail lengths ahead. It was deathly quiet.
Suddenly, something large and heavy dropped down upon Bounce, but quickly retreated, not making a sound and not leaving a trace.
