Shadow was studying Chroma. "Hm... Well, she's not as simple a cat as she seems. Part of the reason I'm here is to see who'll die first." She snickered, then moved away from Crux, walking in silence.

Berry looked up at Crux when he was staring at him, then the large tom looked forward again, making the smaller tom look straight ahead once more.

Shadow hung at the back of the group, uninterested in interacting.
Chroma looked at Berry, smiling. "Hey! What kind of things do you think we'll see today?"

He lifted his head when Chroma said his name. "I-I don't know. It can be anything," he responded.

"I hope we see..." she took a deep breath, then expelled it, puffing up all of her fur and walking with heavy steps, like a fat tomcat. "A big monster!"

"A what!?" Berry asked, alarmed. He was calmed down by Crux, who whispered a few words in the small tom's ears.

She laughed at Berry's reaction. "Aw, I'm sorry for scaring you."
Shadow snorted. "You think that's scary..." she murmured under her breath, ears twitching.

Berry relaxed when Crux stopped talking to him. "He's still a kid, don't frighten him." "I'm not a kid."

Chroma returned to humming and bounced with each step, halting when she heard a noise. "Oh!" she exclaimed when a strange thing (a bicycle) with a human sitting atop it went whistling past. The human barked out of surprise and the thing swerved, like the human had ordered it to avoid the cats. Chroma's fur was messed up by the rush of air and her fur was flecked with mud. "Wow, that thing nearly hit me!" she noted with a laugh.
Shadow snorted in half amusement, half annoyance. "Didn't I ever tell you to slow down when the ground is flattened like that?" She gestured with a paw, emphasising the way the vegetation was sparse and the ground was more level along a certain area, like a big path. "You're lucky, I would've been pleased to let you get your neck broken..."

Berry watched as the twoleg on the strange thing went away. Crux looked at it as well, before looking back at Shadow, then Chroma.
