He healed the cut with the same spell he used earlier, which made the cut disappear and the smell disappear. Looking at May, then back out the window he answered, "You'll find out when I fully trust you. Just know that what I am, others would kill you with no hesitation." L crossed his arms as he gazed outside, only for his eyes to widen and shut the curtains. "Hide, now. Don't even think about coming out, unless you want to do suicide." With that, he jumped down from the entrance he came in from.

She was about to make some kind of snappy retort but choked on her words when she heard his order. "Hey, what are you--" she ended the question as he jumped out of view. She wasn't an idiot, she got the message. She sensed the urgency of the situation. "Oh, whatever," she muttered and sprinted out of the room to hide. Besides, after what had happened so far, she was more than willing to believe that she was in a deadly, cut-throat place, and she wouldn't let herself die too easily. She was too stubborn for that. She crouched low in a place that seemed fairly secluded and quieted her breathing, keeping alert.

He frowned when he saw who it really was and stalked up to the visitor. "You have a lot of nerve. What have I told you?" L snapped, even if his attitude wasn't scaring the visitor. "I just wanted to see how you were doing, the others wanted to know too." The visitor said. Said visitor had blonde hair that seemed untamed, along with dark blue eyes and a scar that started at the right side of his chin and ended somewhere on his chest. L crossed his arms and growled, "This is my quest and I said I wanted to be alone. Don't even check up on me." The blonde male's smile disappeared and he looked down, then he nodded and left.
L crossed his arms and watched as he left, his angered expression disappearing and he walked back to the tree house. He climbed back up and sat down on the couch with a sigh.

Assuming it was safe, Miye left her hiding spot and walked back out into the main room, eyeing L curiously. "What was that about?" She asked, running her fingers through her hair with a scowl on her face, bothered by the messiness. "Someone non-hostile? Jeez, thanks for scaring me for no reason." She crossed her arms grumpily, head turned away from him in a display of annoyance. She didn't like this L guy much so far. He irritated her. But lots of things irritated her.

He shot a glare at her and stood up. "If he saw you, he could have reported us. I would be sent to jail, and you would be dead!" L snapped. "If you want to take a chance, leave, because I don't care what happens to you or anybody!" With that, he walked off towards his room, closing the door behind him. He realized that his mind had reached to the point where he would snap, and possibly take his rage out on anything he could find.

May blinked in surprise as L seemingly lost his temper and yelled at her. 'Whoops. Did I take it too far?' She thought, backing away a bit, watching him storm off through steady blue eyes. Then she turned and walked off to a different room with a sigh, flopping down on the floor. She didn't know the layout of the place so she simply sat in a random area, not really caring at the time where. She decided it was best to let him cool off, though she was intrigued. He'd been fairly good at putting up with her, and she wondered what had triggered him to suddenly snap. Whatever had gone on, now wasn't a good time to interrogate him. She most certainly didn't want to be on freaky emotionless dude's bad side. 'L. His name is L.' She corrected herself in amusement.

He watched silently as the sun started to go down. His blue eyes were dull and he simply had nothing else to do. Of course, he had to find something to feed himself and May. L sighed as he sat up and walked out of his room, sharpening his dagger on a thick piece of wood. When he made it to the living room, he looked around before starting to get ready for a hunt.

She tilted her head when the soft echo of footsteps reached her ears, briefly distracting her from her thoughts. She saw him pass by, but didn't move to interact with him. She decided that, at least for the rest of that day, he would be the one to come to her if socializing was to happen. In the meantime she leaned back, relaxing, her mind a little jumbled. She wasn't sure what she thought of the situation she was in yet. It was odd, everything was unfamiliar. It irked her. She didn't like being so helpless, it made her feel pathetic.

He thought for a moment before nodding. He grabbed a boy and quiver full of arrows. He also had to think for a moment, to remember her name. "May?" he called, glancing outside, and setting the bow and quiver down and fetching some clothes. They resembled his own, but the color was a tad lighter. 'She'll need to wear this if she wants to stay warm and safe.' he thought.

('He grabbed a boy and a quiver full of arrows' help I'm dying XD XD)
"Yeah?" She called back to him, getting up and following his voice to the room he was in. "I'm here. What's up?" She crossed her arms, gazing at him curiously, wondering what he wanted. He saw he was holding some clothing, bearing a likeness to his own but with differing hues. Would that be her new outfit? She took to studying it. Well, if he was offering it to her, it would likely aid her in her time in the screwed up place she'd found herself in. He looked back up at him, aiming her pointed blue gaze in his direction.

(Damn typos! But that is hilarious. X'D)
"We're going hunting, it's dusk also, so it's going to be cold." He held out the clothing to take. "Hunting is also a good practice to defend yourself." With his hearing, he could hear sticks snapping and leaves rustling. He had to keep himself from running out and killing whatever was making the sound. Instinct was a good, and a bad thing to have.

"Hunting?" She asked, thoughtful. "I can do hunting." She'd hunted before, so hopefully it wouldn't be too much of a hassle. Though with how things had been going she couldn't be positive. She took the clothes and walked off. "Just lemme go get changed. Stay here!" She warned him with a glare before slipping into a different room so she could swap outfits. "Don't move from that spot!" Then she removed what she was currently wearing and swiftly replaced it with the clothes L offered to her.

He could feel his eye twitch in annoyance. "I'm know what privacy is!" I yelled, going to pick up the bow and quiver again. L couldn't care about her warning or order, he was from this world and, from what he could see, older than her. And it was his house they were at too. 'How long do I have to put up with this?' he thought. Then he checked to see if he had everything he needed for the hunt.

A quiet chuckle escaped from her at his annoyed response. It was the kind of response she'd been hoping for. Teasing him was fun, she'd quickly come to realize, much to L's misfortune. She wondered how quickly he'd wear of her company, assuming he hadn't already of course. Either way, she was enjoying her time spent irritating him. She wandered back over to where he was, watching as he looked over their supplies. She had a faintly amused look on her face, but was otherwise expressionless.

"How old are you?" He asked, holding up the quiver and bow up again. L actually was curious, and wanted to see if his assumption was right. He glanced outside again to see it was dark. Only the moonlight illuminated the forest outside. Even so, he had to create something for May to wear so that she could see outside.

May, who watched as he held up the bow, was quiet for a few moments before giving an answer. She'd begun wondering about his age too. He seemed old. Old and weird. Wrinkling her nose, she answered, "I'm 16." Then she crossed her arms defiantly. "But you better not call me a stupid kid!" She'd heard that too many times. It irked her. She was young, but that didn't mean she was any less a person than anyone else! "If you do... I'll call you a creepy old guy, so watch your tongue!" Man, she sure was threatening. She deserved an award for best taunts or something. It really was mind-boggling just how scary she was. (ultimate sarcasm lol)

His expression changed for only a second, before going back to his usual, monotone, expression. "Take the bow and quiver, and I wasn't," he replied, glancing outside. "A stubborn one, yes, but not stupid. Besides, creepy would mean living in a haunted forest. And I'm only seventeen centuries old, that's only seventeen years for you." L was used to the sarcasm, and it didn't bug him one bit.

May seemed to completely ignore most of what he said, her brain honing in on one comment. "Seventeen centuries?!" she exclaimed, absent-mindedly taking the bow from him. "Ew, you are just a creepy old guy." She seemed to have forgotten what he mentioned about that equating to seventeen regular years. She looked him up and down with a new found sense of dislike. Then her mind trailed off. "So, what about when you turn, like, seventeen hundred and 31? For example, of course. Do you still call yourself 17? Or like, 17.31?" She gazed at him, a look of childish curiosity present on her face. (I really like these characters so far, I have to say.)

(Same) "I turn 18," he replied simply. "To put it simply: A year for you, is a century for me.." Out of everything he says, she listens to his age?! He sighed before deciding to change the subject. "Take the bow and quiver, or else you're going hungry tonight. I'll be outside." He placed the items on the table and climbed out of the treehouse. The moon was full, making it a good time for magic users to summon something. He thought for a moment, before deciding to bring out his spell book.

May nodded. "Ah, I understand now. That's weird. You're weird." She snorted. "Though, I suppose everything here is weird, huh?" Then she took the bow and quiver and followed him, gazing up at the starlit sky. "Moon's full, huh?" she commented, mostly to herself. Then she gazed left and right. Her body was getting into the hunter's mood. Her muscles tensed, she grew wary of her surroundings. "Lead the way, why don't you? Creepy old man..." Regardless of what he'd said about their ages essentially being the same, she was still quite intent on using her lovely nicknames.
