"Then I'd be haunted by her spirit, and that would be so much worse." He chuckled, quieting down and his smile disappearing when May came close. L shifted the backpack, shaking his head. "You wouldn't understand May. Humor between living creatures is much different than what you know. All you know is crude humor, since you're a 'succubus' and all." He walked out of the building, shifting to his dragon form once there was enough room.

May's hand flew up to her mouth and she gasped, blatantly offended by L's comment. She ran out after him, shaking her fist. "Hey, shut your mouth about that already, I'm not a freaking succubus!" She punched him, hiding the pain she felt when her fist connected with rock hard scales. "Or how would you like it if I acted like one, huh?! 'Cause I will, you're asking for it." Mint walked out behind her and shook his head. "Don't bother, you wouldn't be good at it. Nothing provocative about you at all." May whipped around, arms crossed. "Hey, watch your tongue, girly boy!"

"That's right, your a troll that found a beauty spell," L said when some of the townsfolk looked at them. Turning to May, lowering his voice as he said, "We're still in town, air-head. So shut your trap before I do. Now get on my back."

May shut up quick when she remembered that people could hear them. "Aha, whoops," she mumbled, climbing onto L's back. "I'm gonna get you back for this." Mint sniffed in disdain and climbed up behind her.

"Now you're a troll that calls herself a succubus. Good job." L took off a moment later, climbing up into the air slowly before flying off faster. It was almost noon already, and he didn't want to leave the dragon waiting. "We're going to meet a friend of mine, and May, don't be you when we see him."

May was positively fuming with irritation, to the point she refused to give a word of reply. Maybe she was curious about L's friend, but she couldn't be bothered to ask.

L found the meeting point and landed, wondering why they agreed to meet on a hill in the middle of a tundra. The ground was frozen, the grass covered in a thin, white layer of frost. He looked around, then at the sun to see what time it was. "You may get off, but don't wander. He should be here in a few moments."

The pair took turns climbing onto the ground. May peered around the area, curious, but Mint elected to stay as close to L as possible out of fear of the dragon that was coming to meet them.

He closed his eyes, opening them up to spot a large dragon in front of him. This one was at least twice as big as L. "General Darkblood, on time like usual. The quiet landings are still unbelievable." "What kind of general would I be if I didn't have common sense or skills?" The dragon rumbled, his voice heavy with an unfamiliar accent. He sniffed, rolling his eyes. "I'd be a human general without those two attributes. " "Indeed. Why be the filth that is human kind when you can be as grand as a mythical creature?" "Wise words. My squad would cheer and drown their maws in liquor at that. They're lucky it helps with fire."

As the grand dragon appeared before them, both Mint and May jumped back, startled by such a large, intimidating creature. Mint especially looked frightened and was quick to tuck himself behind one of L's legs. May stood her ground, studying the General with awe and admiration. She managed to keep her mouth shut, at least in that moment.

His gaze turned to the others, yellow and blue eyes holding curiosity. He sniffed Mint, making sure not to get too close. "A Kelpie. Rare, but magnificent beings. Pleased to meet you." He turned to May, tilted his head in slight confusion. "You wear a charm, so I can't tell what you are." "She's a troll that calls herself a succubus," L said, turning his head slightly. Darkblood snorted, "I've heard too many trolls taking a beauty charm and calling themselves a succubus. Even the succubi are being offended!" He raised his head and turned back to L, stretching his wings for a moment before letting them fold back at his sides. "'They're taking our job!' 'They're confusing the customers!' Cry me a river and actually tell someone who cares. I deal actual, important things, not your job. Filthy imps." His crimson claws dug into the ground, much larger and sharper than L's. "Speaking of filth, there's been hunter poping up more lately. I don't know how humans are getting to our world, but they are and I want to know why." "I'd like to know too," L glanced at May at this.

Even though Darkblood maintained distance, Mint still shied away when his snout grew near. "Uh, thank you, Mighty Dragon," he said, bowing his head. "It's an honour." May resisted the urge to glare daggers at L and instead simply laughed, showing off with a flirty wink. "Eh, life is better for us this way. And if they can't hold their jobs from a bunch of crafty troll gals, they aren't worthy of bein' called Succubi, can they? Nice to meetcha, General." Then she snuck a glance at Mint and added, "Say, Kelpie boy, I still think you should join my little 'crew', you'd attract all sorts of business if you just slipped into a tight little miniskirt and-" "Ack! Enough, enough, enough!" Mint exclaimed, waving his hands around desperately. "Aw, lookit this cute little strawberry," May purred, leering at him. Mint just groaned loudly and dropped to the ground, hiding his bright red face behind his knees.

"Thought you said she was a troll?" "She acts like one when we aren't around others. Trust me." Darkblood turned back to May, shaking his head. "Ma'am, you'll need a business permit to recruit... Employees. And judging by your age, I'm going to say you don't have one." He scooted May away from Mint with a claw. "Haven't seen this much beauty magic used in years. Must be over 80 centuries." "Careful, she bites and ask what your age is," L warned, making sure an amused smile didn't surface. "Sad to say, some like that. They say they're fun to break. Why do you even have her." "She hasn't been in the over world. Landed right outside my house." "Unfortunate, but you're a good drake, L."

May allowed herself to be pushed away from Mint, but she continued to give him her creepy stare all the while. Then she looked at Darkblood. "Aw, no fun, you are. And what do you know about my age? It isn't polite to assume things like that." Then she glared at L. "Hey now, that isn't true!" she sang, shaking her head. "I'm an open-minded lady, and I'll only bite if you want me to." Then she gasped. "Oh my, I've said too much. But, ah, I just can't help but to work in a bit of self-advertisement here and there, I'm sure you can understand." She waved her hand dismissively. "Anyway, we're here on business, right? I'll behave now, so go on ahead." She sat down on the frosty grass with her legs crossed and said not another word.

He held up his paw, wondering if he needed to soak it in holy water. "I've seen many creatures during my 223 century lifetime. But this is just disturbing. Do you have a coffin L? It'd keep this demon contained." "I don't currently. Do you know a place where I can get one?" L asked, remembering the conversation he had with Mint earlier. "Anyway, about that info." "Right, just let me see if I have everything." Darkblood sat down, closing his eyes and mulling over the information he had.

"T...t...t..." May mumbled. Then she quietly exclaimed, "T-two-hundred centuries?! Oh boy, old man alert." She kept her voice low to avoid drawing attention to herself, but couldn't help but make the remark. Mint, meanwhile, showed his full agreement with the idea of a coffin with an enthusiastic nod. Then, as the two dragons got down to business, they both managed to fall quiet.

He opened his eyes nodding. "I have everything. You remember this'll be painful, right? I'm different than everyone else." "Just get it over with, crystal cluster. You have a squad of scale-brains to get back to," L growled, shrieking when the other sank his teeth into his throat. Darkblood pushed him to the ground, his action similar to a predator pinning down a deer and sinking their teeth into their flesh. A familiar sickly sweet smell filled the air, a pool of violet starting to form underneath sapphire.

Mint jumped away when L was attacked, hiding behind May instead as he lacked any other options. The pair watched in startled confusion, wondering what in the world was going on.

L growled, managing to claw Darkblood who shot up with an open mouth. "I hate your kind, crystalized dragons all have their own way! Can't just give info like a normal being!" "I hate my kind too, but I can't do anything about it!" He spat out blood, licking his maw and checking the scratch on his cheek. "That's a nasty one, did I give you a part of my personality?" L growled, and the general shook his head. "Alright, I'll leave. I need to get back to my squadron anyone. Good luck with your search." He watched the large dragon take off, then sputtered out curses in the draconic tongue. The info was there, but his throat was bleeding to no end. A healing incantation wouldn't work in this circumstance either. "Can someone mend this please?" He asked, laying his head down on the ground.

Mintas had no idea what just transpired, but when L asked for help, he shot up to accept the request. "I can fix it," he said, getting to his feet. "Do you have bandages with you, or should I scavenge up some make-shift ones?" May, meanwhile, was useless in this regard, and instead just sat back to watch.
