"I visit that village often. Up ahead is my home, a mansion if you want to call it." Up ahead on a mountain, sat a house, a large one. The colors where a dark brown, the roof was black and the trimming was red. "You should see the inside of my home, I did well if I say so myself. Some bats live in there too! I'm vampiric for nothing!" Crimson laughed as he flew forward.

"As long as they don't drive me batty with their screeching, I'm okay with that," May said with another wink at L, snickering. She then looked up and at the house, impressed. "Wow, that is a big house. I can't wait to see the inside! It definitely looks like a house fitting of a vampire."

"They're quiet, don't worry! Most of them either eat fruit or insects anyway," Crimson replied as he descended, landing beside his home. L slid off and walked towards the door, annoyed at the two already. "If you have any questions for me, just ask. I'll be able to answer them in due time." He lowered himself as much as he could, so May wouldn't have to slid off his back, as much as L did anyway.

May hopped off of Crimson's back. "Well, that's good. If I've got something I wanna ask, I'll ask it." She walked towards the door, stopping outside it. "I'm about to enter a vampire's house. This is weird. I can just imagine if some of those girls from my school found out about this. 'What? A real vampire?! I am so jealous! Was he hot, do you have pics?'" She clapped her hands on her face and her voice went up a few pitches as she mimicked the aforementioned girls she knew, finishing off the act with a loud squealing sound. Then she groaned, shaking her head. "Ugh, they were so annoying..."

Crimson changed, disappearing in a cloud of red smoke. "They sound annoying, but fun to imitate!" When the smoke dissipated, he was in his human form. His eyes where as bright and as red as his scales, and fangs poked out from his mouth. His hair was a light brown and shaggy. Crimson was wearing a red shirt, and a large black cloak. His boots where tall and black as well. "Do I look stereotypical enough?" he asked with a chuckle.

"Oh no, that's too stereotypical for me, stop it," May teased him, covering her eyes with her hands. "Honestly, at least ditch the cloak thingy. Anyway, can we go inside now?" She faced the door again, eager to get inside and see what the house looked like.

"It's cold, winter is coming," he shut his eyes as a chilling breeze swept through the mountains. "Let me get that door open." Crimson walked over and opened the door, watching as L went in. "Get the salves, bandages-"
"I know what I'm getting!" L yelled back.
Crimson rolled his eyes, giving May a toothy smile. "I'll answer everything, and tell you his real name, after he's taken care of."

May was relieved to be inside a building and out of the reach of that biting mountain breeze. She chuckled at L and nodded to Crimson. "Okay! Better take care of him quick, then, I'm dying to know!" She clapped once, excited.

Crimson nodded as he closed the door. "If you need any food or drinks the kitchens over there," he pointed to where said room was. "If you want to hang with the bats, they're in that room," he pointed to another room. "Otherwise, enjoy staying in the living room!" With that, he ran after L and took care of his wounds.

May set her bags down and then dashed into the kitchen to raid it. She didn't think she would have many opportunities to have proper food while they travelled, so she took advantage of the opportunity, preparing herself a light meal with the tools she had at her disposal.

L had cleaned his wounds as he waited for Crimson to prepare the salves. Soon enough, his wing was sowed up, his wounds bandaged, and asleep in a guest bedroom. Crimson walked downstairs, his red mock-neck sleeves rolled up to his elbows. When he entered the kitchen, he went to the fridge and took out a blood pack. "Don't mind me being stereotypical as usual, I just need a refreshment." He bit into the pack without another word.

"Alrighty, you do your thing, Sir Stereotype," May said as she finished cooking, fine with the sight of Crimson helping himself to a bag filled with blood. "How's L doing? Or, y'know, whatever his name is." She didn't bother sitting down to eat, instead leaning against the counter with her plate in her hands. "I was the one who had to pull a battalion’s worth of bullets out of him y'know, so I hope he's doing good, or all that work was for nothing!"

"Oh Lunar? He's doing good, sleeping right now from the medication, but good," he said, pausing in his drinking. "Dragonsbane bullets I'm guessing? Jeez, those suck a lot, much more than I do anyway." Crimson gave a wink and stuck his tongue out, returning to the bag in a matter of moments.

May started giggling immediately. "Lunar? His name is Lunar? Are you serious?" She laughed some more. She had to put her plate down so she wouldn't drop it. "Oh wow, what a girly name! Who would have thought someone as dull and grumpy as him would have a name like that?" She smiled devilishly as she thought about all the fantastically torturous ways she was going to bully him with this new knowledge. "Oh, and yeah, he mentioned something about Dragonsbane."

"If I remember from his little brother, his parents though he was a girl and he was born under a full moon. It was strange when they realized he was actually a boy, but they kept a name. He went with L ever since," Crimson finished the bag and tossed it, licking his lips. "Dragonsbane is poison to dragons, a bane for dragons if you want to say." He stretched his arms before tilting his head in thought. "Speaking of his brother, where is he? Its been awhile since I last saw him."

"Um, last I checked, his brother is the reason we're even travelling. I forget exactly what Mr. Moony told me, but we left his home so we could go find his brother, or something. You should ask him if you want to know." She continued eating now that her laughter had subsided.

"His brother went missing?" Crimson was shocked at the response, wondering what could have happened to the child. "L cares for him deeply, I wonder what happened..." He muttered and walked to the living room. He knew it wasn't normal for the kid to be missing, let alone taken. Crimson hoped the brother was ok as he paced the room.

May watched Crimson leave the room, a frown on her face. She finished her food before long and walked out into the living room, plopping down into a seat. She eyed Crimson as he paced, but didn't feel like asking what was up, so she was quiet as she relaxed. She doubted she would have many chances to rest inside an actual house while she and L travelled so she planned to enjoy it.

"If you want to check on L, he's upstairs and the door is propped open. I'll show you your room when you're ready to rest, or just get settled." Crimson said, giving May a quick glance. Without another word, he walked into the room with the bats and closed the door.

May nodded to Crimson and got to her feet. She walked to the stairs and hopped up one at a time, then she looked for the propped open door. She spotted it and approached the room, carefully pushing the door open and creeping in so as not to bother L if he was still sleeping.
