'Got it,' Abrevynen hummed and sat wait.
Kouhane nodded. "Indeed! Just a while ago she attempted to take one of my feathers." The colourful crest on her head flared indignantly. Then she lifted her beak slightly, like she noticed something. "Hm? I get the feeling something else is lurking about..."

Each of her tails flicked once as she laid down. "A wise and correct one, you are." She said out loud. "Interesting group, if I say so myself."

Kouhane sniffed. "Wise indeed. Hello there Kitsune."
Abrevynen chuckled. 'Byangomas are very magically intuitive animals. She can likely vaguely sense my presence, but no more than that, unlike how she could tell immediately that you are a Kitsune, and probably some other details.'

'Then a chat with her and the angels should prove interesting, and thank you for the species name,' She replied to Abrevynen before walking out of the bushes and sitting not too far, nor too close to the group. "Greetings Byangoma," she replied. "I'm Kowara, no one really knows me since I live in one of the shadowy parts of the forest. It's nice to get out once in awhile as well."

Kouhane rolled her dull eyes. "Please, call me Kouhane. I'm hardly a Byangoma in such a pitiful state." She sighed. "But, it's a pleasure to meet one such as yourself, Kowara the Kitsune." 'Oh... So she's blind...' Abrevynen murmured. 'I see.'

Crystal watched silently, she smiled slightly, as she found this a little amuzing.

She dipped her head, "Alright, Kouhane." 'Are they usually blind?'

'All of them are blind upon birth, but considering her age, I expected she'd have unlocked her sight by now... Just unlucky I guess. Poor bird.' Abrevynen answered.
Kouhane turned her beak back towards the angels, narrowing her eyes at them. "You two gonna introduce yourself or force me to do all the talking?" She snapped.

Kouhane grunted. "As I thought." Abrevynen chuckled. 'She's quite the character.'

Kouhane snapped her white beak and strutted over to Kowara. The colourful, feathered crest on her head waved in the breeze. Her head ticked to the right and she studied the Kitsune through blind eyes, using her powers to observe what information she could. She met a Kitsune once before, but hardly had the chance to examine it. This was a somewhat exciting thing for her, meeting an unfamiliar creature, especially one that was so highly-esteemed in lore. "Kowara. Kowara the Kitsune. Hm, you have all nine of your tails? That truly is a feat among your kind, is it not?" she asked. "You've lived a long time." Just then, she was distracted when a bug landed on her wing, and she squawked, shaking it off. "Now the insects are out to get my feathers? I think not, dirty pests!"
Zilius the hunter sat outside his hut in the woods, putting the finishing touches on the bow he had crafted. He tested the elasticity of the string, ensuring it wouldn't snap. Then he checked to see if the wood was flexible enough to withstand the force of an arrow shooting. Content that it wouldn't break, he lifted one of his home-made arrows and fired it at a log. The arrow hit his target squarely, and the bow was still in one piece. Happy with the finished product, he retrieved his arrow, tucked it into the quiver, and walked off into the woods to roam, and perhaps hunt.

Kowara nodded, watching in slight amusement at Kouhane. "It is. I have seen many things, but not of recent since I've been in solitude for the past few centuries. Up until recent, has my life gotten...stranger." Her eyes changed to a light blue as she crossed her legs. Each tail flicked at least once before settling down once more. "Where have your wings taken you these past few days? Hopefully the path wasn't filled with pests."
His wings went numb as he eventually crashes into the forest below, shrieking out in pain. Feathers tore free from his wings, the ones on his frill managing to stay together. The wounds that had sealed nearly hours before, reopened. As the creature settled on the forest floor, it groaned and mentally cursed at itself and the rest of his kind. It wasn't his fault his frill resembled the Sun, with its bright orange and golden feathers. The creature was aware that neither of his two horns had snapped, but was aware that something else did. Lifting his wings, he shrieked once more. A wing, broken and missing feathers here and there. The feathers were no surprise, but the broken limb was. Without the limb, he couldn't fly, he could only slither among the forest floor. Sadly, the creature had no more strength, the wounds he received and flying since dawn weakened him. He only hoped he was safe where he was as he hesitated into a light slumber.

Kouhane nodded, absorbing the information with eagerness. "Oh! I see! You have the look of someone who is leading a strange life." Odd words, coming from a blind bird. "Hm, as for myself, I can't exactly fly far on these wings of mine. Why, I'd crash into the first tree I came across, I do think!" She sighed, her posture turning slack with disappointment. "As much as I'd like to venture, I haven't been gifted such a privilege. Not that I mind too much, this wood is filled with secrets to be unearthed. I wish to acquire every piece of knowledge it has to offer some day." Then she shook her head. "That aside, my days recent have been relatively uneventful."
Zilius locked up when he felt the ground tremble, and a shriek split the air. He went into high alert, muscles tense and bow in hand. An arrow was at the ready, and he pulled back the string, prepared to fire at a moment's notice. He walked through trees and undergrowth until he arrived at the source of the sudden impact. A feathered beast was lying, wounded and dozing, on the ground before him. Still ready to shoot, he approached, slow. He wondered what happened to the creature to put it in such a state. Analysing it, it looked as though it had a broken wing. It wouldn't be able to get far in a state like that, if it lived much longer. It probably also couldn't put up much of a fight, so Zilius allowed himself to slacken his hold on his weapon, the string moving back to its usual position. He reached up with one hand to adjust his deer skull helmet and then sat down on the ground, deciding to keep an eye on the beast for the time being.

Kowara nodded, absorbing the information as she listened. "It's better than nothing, and having a goal such as yours can make these woods an adventure. Who knows what could be hiding, what this place holds, it's all a mystery." She smiled slightly as she decided to share her recent events. "My days of solitude have come to an end, when a little creature decided to budge in, in more ways than one too. I was alarmed at the sudden... intrusion, but I've accepted it and believed it was something I've needed."
The creature shook and whimpered from time to time, before waking up with a sharp intake of breath. He was breathing heavily, and his nightmares were the cause of it all. As he calmed, he couldn't shake the feeling that someone was near. Close than he would have liked. Turning his head, he froze when he spotted the being before him. A deer skull helmet, along with the bow and quiver of arrows made the feathers of his frill flatten against his head. He said nothing, and did nothing. The strength he had was barely there, and his condition wouldn't help him either. So he just stared, waiting for the other to move.

Kouhane made a pleased chirping sound. "I'm happy you think that, it makes me feel better about myself." Then, when she heard the tale of the apparent intruder, she nodded slowly. "Oh... That explains this nagging in my feathers. I sensed only you, but your presence alone didn't feel like the complete picture. I passed it off as the wind brushing me the wrong way, but I suppose there is something else after all!" She circled around Kowara. "Can the little creature show themself?" He'd been found out, so there was no point in staying hidden. Abrevynen materialized atop Kowara's head, waving his small paw at the white and red bird. "Hello, Kouhane. I'm Abrevynen." "Oh my, this gets all the more interesting with each passing second!" Kouhane declared.
Zilius edged backwards out of instinct when the wounded creature moved, looking at him. He remained calm, only one hand on his bow while the other was empty at his side. "Can you speak?" he asked, leaning forward to get a better look at it. He felt a bit of sympathy in his heart, although it was uncharacteristic of him. He was a hunter, after all. To be a hunter one had to think like an animal, become an animal. And to do that, one had to empathize with the animals. So although he wasn't pleased with himself for it, he wondered if he could help this wounded creature.

Kowara stifled a chuckle, happy that she wasn't lonely anymore. Even is Fausch was a creature that had visited her often, he was a shadow that trailed behind her. Pushing the thoughts aside, she watched the two. "I don't know much about Abrevynen myself, since I've never seen or even known his kind before. He'll have to explain himself to you, if you don't mind Abrevynen."
The creature gave a slow nod, unsure of what to even say to the hunter. All he knew was that he wasn't safe, or felt safe for that matter. He tried shifting to a more comfortable position, but winced as his broken wing moved. All he could manage was curl his tail underneath his uninjured limb.

Abrevynen nodded. "I guess you could call me a bonder, because the purpose of my kind is to find a being I'm compatible with and bond my soul to their's. From that point, we're inseperable, and share all emotions and senses. Pain is sent both ways, and death means massive consequences. We also get some new traits from our 'hosts'. I think I'm sprouting another tail!" He chuckled. Kouhane nodded. "Oh, I see. There are many beasts of your type I've heard of, and they all manage to be so different, yet so similar." She looked over to Kowara. "What was the bonding like? Did it feel odd?"
Zilius sighed, wondering what he should do. He could kill the creature and take its hide for himself, or help it and perhaps get something in return. The feathered animal clearly didn't feel safe in the current situation, and Zilius didn't blame it one bit. He shrugged his pack off of his shoulders and rooted through it to see if he had any supplies that could help. But there was nothing, only a few skins taken from various other beasts he'd hunted. "I don't have anything to bind those wounds with," he said in a cool tone, as though he were indifferent. "Your wing...it must hurt. Can I see it?"

Kowara thought for a moment before speaking. "It was sudden. A sudden intrusion on my soul. I was mainly alarmed, and Abrevynen could tell you his point of view if he wants to. I'm pretty sure I confused him, and maybe scared him."
He looked at his wing for a moment, hesitated, then nodded. He had no other choice, and tending his wounds and limb wouldn't result well. For now, he decided, all he would do is watch and try to regain his voice back. As best as he could, he shifted his injured wing closer to the hunter. The creature could feel his frill flatten further.
