Abrevynen jolted awake at the sound of Kowara's exclamation. "Wah! Uh, what's wrong?" he asked, rubbing at his eye with one of his small, furry paws. "Mm, scared me..." He yawned and laid back down. He needed a few seconds to rouse himself before he could understand the situation.
Zilius went about his hunt, but his mind was filled with curious questions about the orb that had appeared that morning. It didn't distract him enough that he missed his shots, at least.

"Very few are allowed in here, and yet it's gone? Where is it?" Kowara panicked, rummaging through her stuff in hopes of finding it. Vezolth rubbed his eyes with his wings, looking up to see the kitsune still panicking. "We would understand better if you told us what was gone," He asked quietly, hiding his head under his wings when she looked at him with blazing yellow eyes. "My soul feather brain, it's gone! I've kept it in an orb ever since I received my ninth tail, and whoever has it now-," She shook her head, laying down and covering her eyes with her paws. "Whoever has it now orders me around, like a pet." Noir watched, keeping his eyes down so his amusement wouldn't show.

Abrevynen realised what she was talking about and kept his face out of direct view so that his expression wouldn't be visible. "Where could something like that have gone?" he asked in an alarmed voice. He was uncertain if he felt guilty or amused. He supposed that there was nothing wrong with both.

Kowara stood, shaking her head and walking out of her den. "I'll be back by nightfall, maybe midnight or dawn. Not sure how long I'll be out," She walked out without another word. Vezolth mumbled to himself, getting out of his nest and deciding to sort everything. Noir snorted, staying where he was and tossing a berry into his mouth.

Abrevynen glanced at Noir, then bounded over to select some fruit for his own breakfast.
Zilius was lucky with his catches and decided to return early from his hunt. He was dragging a large bird along behind him and the ears of a rare rabbit he had come across hung out of his bag.

Vezolth muttered something under his breath, finishing the mess and making sure everything was back where it was. "What game do you two play?" He hissed, glaring at Noir before turning to Abrevynen. The little creature looked at him, deciding to listen instead of replying.
Kowara decided against shifting to her human form, knowing that having nine tails trailing behind her would be a cost for wanting to look low. She was alert, and kept moving as she looked around.

Abrevynen blinked and looked at Vezolth in surprise. "What do you mean?" he asked after setting down the apple he had selected for himself. "Game?"
Zilius walked into his hut and thought for a moment. He laid the bird carcass carefully on the floor, then set his other catches in the corner. He wasn't interested in them for the moment. The orb he'd discovered earlier had his complete attention now that his hunting was finished. He sat down in front of it and studied it, trying to discern what, exactly, it was.

"You know it's a sensitive subject, for her and for you. Don't play dumb," He snapped. His tail slammed against the ground and his frill flared up in anger. Vezolth turned to Noir, glaring at the creature. "What do you know of this?" "I know nothing of what you speak of. Are you saying that I took it? I know next to nothing, seeing I was made yesterday!" Noir replied calmly, looking at his claws and deciding that he should clean them soon. He kept in a smirk when the Quetzalcoatl believed his words.
She looked under bushes, ignoring her growling stomach when she looked under a berry bush. Eventually, the sound ceased and she continued looking. Kowara growled under her breath, growling out curses and looking around the forest.

Abrevynen flinched at how harsh Vezolth was acting and he wondered how long he'd be able to keep the secret. "I know, I know... B-But don't you think that with how well protected this place is, it would have to be someone she knows? Someone she trusts? If it is, I'm sure they won't do anything harmful..." Zilius lifted the orb in his hands and turned it over, but he didn't notice anything odd about its appearance.

"She's been mopping around for days, she might of believed that her protection dropped for a moment before it came back up. If you think this game is still fun, you're wrong, because whatever trust she had for us, it's gone," Vezolth exited the den, deciding to gather some fruit since the baskets were getting low. Noir watched him go, somewhat surprised that the serpent was smarter than he looked.
Kowara looked by the stream, finding nothing in the waters or in the bushes beside it. She continued searching though, despite the words of doubt appearing in her head.

Abrevynen set his jaw. "Vezolth..." he mumbled, ears drooping. He looked at Noir. "Maybe this wasn't the right choice," he mumbled. "I feel like my pelt is crawling. Everyone seems upset..."
Zilius stood up and carried the orb outside. He hugged it close to ensure he wouldn't drop it, in case it was fragile. Once outside, he walked to a patch of sunlight to watch it reflect off of the sphere's surface.

He crawled out of the large nest, shrugging and going over to the baskets. "What did you expect? Just wait it out," Noir replied, going through fruit and ores. Picking up a nugget, he rolled it in his paws before tossing it back where it was.
She didn't know how long she was searching, but she resorted to checking the trees. Her view was filled with greens and browns, and she muttered to herself as she passed through quietly.

"Hm..." He thought for a few moments, then nodded. "Okay, I'll take your advice. I'll just sit back and hope things go well for now."
Content with the way it shone under the golden light of the sun, he lowered it. Then he wondered what he should so with it. It wasn't particularly useful to him, but he didn't want to dispose of it either. He still had yet to figure out how it had gotten into his home. Perhaps there was something important about it.

Finding some silver ores, he dug into them to try to get the silver itself. "If you're so worried, why don't you go look and see what the hunter is doing. Or the kitsune."
Climbing down a tree, she growled and looked in the direction where the hut was. It wouldn't be there, the hunter never came to her den. She turned away, going in the opposite direction.

Abrevynen didn't need to be told twice. "Alright, see you later!" He waved his tails and darted out of the den. It would be easier to locate Kowara than the hunter because he could use their link to track her down, so he started heading in her general direction.
Zilius tucked the orb under his arm and walked back into his hut. There, he set it down and sighed. He had better things to do.

She continued to move, finding no luck in finding her orb. Besides refusing to take a small break, her stomach started to ache. Once more, she ignored it and continued her search. "I rather have a wound as large as my head than have that orb gone," Kowara spat, pushing a rock back where she moved it.

Abrevynen located Kowara and was about to land on her as he always did, but decided against it considering her mood. "Um, any luck?" he asked.

Her ears flattened against her head as she felt a thorn in her paw. Using her teeth to take it out, she spat it into the push looking into another. "What do you think?" She asked, using her tails to push away the leaves to look in it before moving on.

Abrevynen frowned, a pang of pity ringing through his being and almost knocking him out of the air. "O-oh," he murmured. "I understand. Um, should I go?" His wings carried him gently to the ground and he lowered his head, keeping his eyes averted.

"Do what you wish, just don't get in my way." A thorn made its way into her pad, yet she continued on like it wasn't even there. Kowara was determined to find the orb that contained her soul, even if it meant killing. This never happened before, and she didn't like how it happened now.
